  1. Also saw somewhere that the league might punish him again. I mean, how many times can one person be punished for the same thing? Just wondering if Roger Goodell wakes up in a bad mood and thinks to himself "Let's punish DeShaun Watson"?
  2. There are many theories about the end of the world, asteroid impact, super volcanos, plague, the "grey goo" nano technology theory. I think it will be that this thread will continue to expand and expand until the whole network collapses, and in the process takes down the rest of the infrastructure and sends us back to the dark ages.

  4. I don't know, I kinda feel this would put a lot of undue stress on kickers. Seems to me, they are already under a lot of stress ever since they changed where the XP is kicked. Doing the way they are now kind of evens the load out. It also rewards those who play good defense. If you can take away the ball, you can end the game with a score.
  5. I think the rules were pretty clear. They started a new game, a TD or a field goal didn't end the game unless it was a defensive score. Basically, the other team had a chance to match the score (or score more points) by the other team unless a defense scored or took the ball away and then scored.
  6. KC's offense couldn't do shit in the first half. I was thinking how they miss Tyreek Hill. I don't understand how they let one of their best players go to another team. Still KC managed and got another ring.
  7. I don't hate her, I don't like her, I'm just a person who likes to focus on the game. I hate commercials, player introduction, thank goodness for the invention of the DVR, so I can skip all the stuff that takes away from the game. I actually like the 1 o'clock games because they start exactly when they say they will or maybe 2 minutes after 1pm, not like the primetime games. edit I will be watching the Super Bowl on a delay so I can skip the commercials and all the Taylor Swift moments. They can show her all they want, I'm just not going to see it.
  8. The three rivers in Pittsburgh consist of the Ohio River, TJ Watt's tears, and the tears of Steeler fans.
  9. I was lurking on a Steelers board a yesterday and yeah, they are pretty upset. I think Garrett was the best player on the best defense leading the way. I'm not sure what happened to Garrett at the tail end of the season, his production dipped (shoulder maybe?)
  10. What Ford plant are you referring to? The only Ford plants I know of around the Cleveland area are the ones in Avon Lake and the engine plant in Brook Park.
  11. So I take it nobody saw the effect the wind had on Tyler Bass' heartbreaking field goal in the divisional game and you still want to play in the elements? At the very least, every team should have a retractable roof so you can have options, especially teams that play by the lake. It does not make sense to have a pure outdoor stadium on the shores of Lake Erie when the technology exists.
  12. I don't know why there is all this controversy swirling around Watson. I thought he did better than I expected when he came back from suspension considering how long he was away from the game. I thought he did good this year considering he was probably playing injured. I mean, I think I know why there is controversy, I just don't think it's related to football. People really need to let it go. If his shoulder fully heals, he will be fine.
  13. Just a random thought, I thought momentum was important for the last game against the Bengals. I know how some people feel about PJ Walker but for the sake of argument, I thought they would have been better off starting Walker over Driskel because he knows the system and has a win. I get it (why they brought Driskel in), I just don't agree that at the end of the season going on a playoff run is the time to see if you can hit on a guy and maybe upgrade a position. Momentum and confidence going into a wild card game is more important. The Bengals game should have been a tune up game for the Texans and they shit the bed. And I think it carried over into the Texans game because they just putrid.
  14. Just wondering, at what point does analytics tell them the team with the most points when the clock hits zero at the end of the 4th quarter wins the game? Although I don't count what Dan Campbell did as analytics, it was just reckless. Sad, considering he used to play for them and should know what that means to to city of Detroit.
  15. My heart goes out to the Detroit fans for having suffered this long only to have the game end the way it did. If the fans burnt the city down, I would understand.😂
  16. I know Detroit had some drops but Dan Campbell fucked the city of Detroit out of the NFC crown and a Super Bowl appearance.
  17. How do you go for it on 4th down in the championship game knowing at worst it would be a one score game with a FG but fuck yourself and make it a two score game with time winding down?
  18. It's amazing that there are some here that might accidentally discover there is a football board.
  19. I was stupid enough to buy into the hype but I snapped out of it before the wild card game. I called it, I wasn't going to be let down by the Browns again but even I was surprised how early the game was over. I was even giving Stefanski and Schwartz praise, saying they should all be coach of the year, but now that award should rightfully go to DeMeco Ryans. Yes I bought into the hype, the number 1 defense, the talk about Schwartz, the resiliency the team, the Super Bowl talk, the Flacco mania, only to roll over like a rape victim to a rookie coach and rookie quarterback. The so-called number 1 defense looked like a wet paper bag. The team looked like it already had one foot in the off-season. How can you give Stef the coach of the year with that kind of game prep? All the stuff that got them there and they did none of it.
  20. Imagine that, a top tier defense made CJ Stroud look like a rookie. Who would've thought.
  21. I'm taking an indefinite break from this place and from football in general. This team needs a lot of work if they want to win the division and some luck with players coming off injuries. Chubb is the one that concerns me the most. Going to be hard to replace his production and value.
  22. Am I wrong about Garrett or Ward? Garrett looks like for the most part he pulled a Houdini act for the last part of the season, and Ward seems he's going to be a regular on IR for the rest of his career. If Garrett's shoulder is to blame, isn't he kinda in the same boat as Watson?
  23. Whatever I say is going to piss people off, I'm still fuming from yesterday's game. I say let them all walk. And I will go as far to say they should move on from all injury prone players including Hospital Ward and Garrett with the shoulder that is his fault because he can't handle a performance car. They need to start looking towards the future and start drafting replacements for some of these players. How many picks did they give for Watson?
