Well, I didn't write the article. I just have had the same feelings on the matter when they signed you know who.

Some of our players will be cap casualties. Like Nick Chubb, for instance. Dammit, four different qb's won with the Browns. The fiasco giant guaranteed contract was stupid, it will hurt the team next year.

Browns Must Consider Firing Andrew Berry After Watson Debacle, Mayfield’s Success

I honestly thought this was a headline midseason. Mayfield's success, when he blew another game winning drive? I was watching the playoff game and told my wife when he took over that "game's over, Mayfield always panics in these scenarios" and two plays in bingo. Watson who is the only other QB to defeat Baltimore at home this season on a broken shoulder and one leg. Berry assembled a roster that could withstand the loss of  Nick Chubb of the 26% IR this season.  I get tired of clickbait and hot takes that poses as sport journalism these days.

Now, I'm not sure what exactly happened this year and how he couldn't even make it out of his second season after such a good first...

I think because he ignored the rushing attack which improved after his departure. Most advanced analytics dropped after his departure however. Funnily enough in the divisional game they still abandoned the run early in his absence which was one of his criticisms. I'm fine with the hire, after going 11-6 with this injured roster they have a pass unless they fall flat on their face next season.

    Deep. No?  :)

We got beat because our QB threw 2 TD's for them.  We gave up too many big plays on D.  And because we couldn't run the ball.

Giving up big plays has been an infuriating weakness of this defense the entire season. I expected at least one but boy did they find the day to give their worst performance. However looked like it was a running theme this weekend with Dallas' purportedly top 4 defense being boat raced too.

The Secondary and DL when healthy were among the best in the NFL. There's still not a dominant force at LB that can just lock down the middle of the field, though JOK plays a strong hybrid.

Offensively, more depth is needed on the OL, I think the seventh tackle of the season played tonight.

I think drafting a RB is diligent, but I'd also bring Kareem Hunt back if the number can work.

As far as Flacco, they'd be crazy not to consider bringing him back. He pushed the ball down the field in way no other QB in Cleveland has since Bernie. He brought out the beat in Njoku and made the TEs a threat.

DL and secondary were pretty healthy today. Our inability to consistently run the ball showed up and agree we need more tackle depth. Flacco should return only as a backup. His magic ran out at the worst possible time.

Third and goal from the 1 and the Jags didn't try to run it in on 3rd down.  Poor coaching.

And Lawrence was not accurate today.  My 8 year old grandson is a Jaguars fan.  I wanted us playing each other next week!

Man, our game was a complete waste of time.  On defense we had several players who couldn't shed blocks and couldn't tackle.  On a TD run, Mixon made Jordan Kunaszyk #51 look like a backup to a backup.  And on offense, we signed some QB during the week and trotted him out there like a crash test dummy.   And who'd have thunk that the maligned David Bell would catch 2 TD's?  The first one was like he was fielding a punt in the end zone.

I watched most of that game, the Titans just wanted it more, agree Lawrence was really inaccurate, the play calling was terrible and the Jags were just outcoached overall. They didn't deserve to be in the playoffs although I would have preferred them. Anyway to be the best you have to beat the best so I'm up to beating everyone including Baltimore on the way to our first Super Bowl.

Bennet Omalu, the inspiration for the movie "Concussion," told TMZ Sports on Friday that he would tell Moore he should retire.

"He was having a seizure," he said. "A seizure is a manifestation of brain damage, brain injury. . . . That is permanent damage."

Omalu added that if Moore doesn’t retire, he would at least tell him to sit out for the rest of the season.

That's true. He'll need a brain wave test whether it's part of the protocol or not for his own safety. Wouldn't expect him back before the SB if we make it there.

  7. Stefanski's our next Paul Brown, yes I said it. To have an XFL player beat the top of the pack 49ers, Watson beat the Ravens on one leg and arm, DTR beat the Steelers and resurrect Flacco from NFL death to 2 wins is remarkable. Plus let's not forget Cousins' best season in Minnesota was under Kevin's run as OC. Goodell in the stands for a 1 pm game between a mid and low tier team was very telling, the NFL loves narratives and look forward to hyping Flacco getting back to the SB.

    What did he say?

Was watching the game on DVR so didn't want to join the thread but described Myles as ordinary and that his OL would handle him. Anyway great win, even though Flacco had his letdown game (that I was expecting) he still overcame it for a comeback win on our behalf this time. Defense was great and Dhop as usual was the best trade in the offseason. I'm calling the playoffs now, if our D can be healthier we'll make a run there too.

He’s like a 75 overall in October, and becomes a 99 by January - on the madden scale before those games sucked.

Hopefully we get to see the postseason version of Flacco this year

That only happened once in their SB winning season. I just read on Twitter he's back on the practice squad so look's like Kevin is going with DTR.

Flacco made the horrible decision to throw the ball to a double-teamed Moore.

He could have easily checked down or thrown the ball away. He did that all day long, well.

And as well as he did play, that poor decision was the beginning of the end of the game for the Browns. Horrible play by Flacco in an all-around very good game for him. I'm looking forward to him starting for the rest of the season.

We need three wins. Get them however you can.

That's typical Flacco. When he played against us, I always waited for the untimely interception. Our team was just too bad to take advantage of it back then. I'm ambivalent about him starting the rest of the season.

  11. Bad loss but things really went south after DTR was knocked out of the game. After a rough start he really picked things up, defense was a let down allowing one of the worst run teams to run all over us. Looks like Flacco may start next week but the main problem is our rapidly growing injury list. Heard Myles is in a sling and Coop has a rib injury thankfully not fractured on X-ray.

  12. Great post, I'm picking the Browns to win and think Stefanski will open the playbook a little bit more for DTR, our run game should flourish against one of the worst run defenses in the league and our pass rush will feast on Wilson. Plus D hop is money for a low scoring game. The national media will realise Denver's win streak was a mirage and the the Browns are for real.
