Save huge discrepancies in talent, like the Buckeyes versus Iowa, I just don't think we can accurately know from past games what Sunday will bring.

The Ravens are not elite. I maintain we can beat anyone. I think our talent is solid, but some guys just won't fucking step up. Why, I have no ideas.

I don't believe analytics reveal shit because no Sunday presents the same variables as the week before, and some teams just have advantages in the right situation.

I believe the Browns will win in a decent fashion.

    1) Jackson moving gives Garrett many random angles that simply cannot be blocked.

    2) I believe the Ravens will over attack Chubb and the Browns will be smart enough to misdiect them and hurt them w the passing game.

    3) I think when they adjust for passing scheèmes Chibb and Hunt will go nuts.

Fuck the Ravens, fuck dead Modell, Fuck Baltimore, fuck Baltimore, and Fuck 3 int throwing Lamarr.

    Go Browns

Didn't watch the game today so can't comment on Garrett's performance. Tracked the score and like last week we couldn't finish, we have better talent than some of our historically bad teams but we're just a badly coached team this year.

I happen to believe that Garrett is going to personally dismember the Ravens.

Jackson doesn't stay in the pocket which means a double team won't work on Myles.

He will have a lot of angels and routes to Jackson, and his skills are tailored for these assholes.

I guarantee a Browns win and a career day for Myles.

I don't think so but as with all bad teams, occasionally they have unexpected wins. Can't believe the Jets are better than us this season, Saleh was actually one of the coaching hire finalists with Stefanski.

Yeah but did Andrew Berry get his choice?  No, because he was hired 2 weeks after Stefanski was hired.   I'd bet BIG cake Berry and Stefanski are far from aligned even if one of them makes a pretentious statement that they really enjoy working with each other.

Here's the disease (the owner) and the symptoms (the results of all his business decisions).  If someone has a severe lower back pain for kidney cancer they can take something to treat that symptom; but they probably prefer to remove the life threatening disease even more so.

I'm finally starting to feel like we're wasting a lot of time getting from 1 round of fire the Coach to the next round when it's still the crap at the top making the decisions.  By now, this kind of track record at the top isn't going to bring us a Sean Payton.  It's going to bring someone that would LOVE to come and do a great job here only to become the very next public enemy #1, As 1 fan appropriately reminded me, we can't fire the owner.  He's right.  We can flatline our expectations and enthusiasm for this owner's business as the volume of participants in the game day thread reminded us.  And where did the discussion inevitably go?  Fire this coach and fire that coach.  That's exactly what everyone in the FO wants is a complete pardon while our Owner knows he can't be fired.

Where does all this leave the players?  "WTF are we doing here?"  Not to worry, the plan begins in week 12 when this team is 2-9.  Stay tuned?

True Berry didn't get his coach but was he meant to? DePo is the hands on extension of the owner so as you correctly pointed out, that's where the problem lies.

Like I said, CONTEXT. Brissett is just to get us to the DeShaun Watson era. So far Brissett has us leading the division at 2-2 with 7 games left. I say that's not too bad. Ideally we want to have a winning record, I think it would be time to panic if we end sucking the rest of the way with Jimmy Haslam's 200 million dollar man. I'm hoping ShitMyPantsKi get something figured out in the mean time. Week four is not the time to panic.

Not sure why people are ranting as if Jacoby's our full time QB. The criticism should be directed to the coaching staff for this loss really.

The Bills won yesterday and were competitive last week with a second string secondary.  The 49ers are going to go toe to toe tonight with the defending champs with their elite tackle out.

There are no perfect rosters in this league.

    Adapt…adjust…scheme….accordingly.

3 out of 4 D line starters were out, one of whom is elite. The secondary did step up but not enough to compensate. Stefanski didn't have much confidence in his D which made him go for it on 4th down at the goal line in the first quarter a decision I didn't agree with while watching the game.

  6. I wrote in the AFC North thread I wasn't too confident about our chances. I watched the entire game though. We needed a better pass rush and couldn't overcome Clowney and Myles' absence as Mariota wilts under pocket pressure. Brissett is slightly better than a game manager he wasn't brought here for game winning drives, that's Desean's job. However unsure why Amari wasn't game planned in a bit more to keep the defense honest. As Bill Parcells said "it's not who you play but when you play them"which worked out great for the Falcons today hopefully we'll come out on the positive side of this later in the season.

Edit: who's idea was it to use Njoku for an end around when you have Schwartz?

Speaking of QBs…we’ve had great fortune this year.

coming up soon on the schedule ….

Herbert looks average with the rib cartilage injury.

Max Jones has a high ankle sprain.

I noticed that too, hopefully our DC gameplans accordingly.

Jacoby has been very efficient these last two games. My only criticism would be to make sure to spread the wealth around more to the other receivers Jacoby and the Browns have been very efficient on offense. Defense needs to step up.

Good teams have evolving offenses, eg establish Cooper as the No 1 receiver and Njoku as an established receiving threat. DC's will game plan around them and the running backs which will leave less experienced WRs (ahem Schwartz) wide open. Historically Jacoby hasn't had a problem distributing the ball, I believe he's following Stefanski's script now.
