Man, you're not kidding. Basically we played with fire and hot burnt. They gambled that Watson wouldn't go down obviously that's not the case. I mean, if you're Kevin, how infuriated are you? You trade a ton of assets for a guy known for taking hits and holding the ball and then take away my experienced backup. Thanks Mr. Berry!

How does Kevin generate points with the worst statistical QB and no Chubb? Oh, and Seattle has a terrific run defense. Time to earn that mula, Kevin! 😂

Generated 23 points with an XFL back up and 154 yards of rushing on the road (with 3 backup RBs) against a great defense, is conjuring magic to be honest. People out with the pitchforks for questionable playcalling at times. Didn't Seattle lose a SB in a similar situation with Pete Caroll who had decades of experience? Stefanski is in his 4th year, impatient Browns fans need to realize what they have instead of clamoring for a reset with a new coach.

  2. In hindsight a running play would definitely have made more sense with a backup QB but nobody's calling out the defense for giving up 60 yds and a real easy TD on  a simple screen. Notably this is the 3rd game in a row where the defense collapsed in the last two minutes, we were lucky in the last two games to escape with a win.

LOL!!! Even with a full week of practice, they're not miraculously turning PJ into a competent QB.... We've seen a lot of lousy quarterback play from those 30+ signal callers the Browns have had since 1999, and I'll have to put Walker in the bottom five- easy. I suggest having your zofran or emetrol handy Sunday to prevent uncontrolled barfing.

He literally only needed two plays to win the game last week. Our O-line can dominate Seattle's Defensive front and our Defensive front will definitely dominate their O-line. A few more plays from him and we beat the Seahawk easy.

I know I'm not known for my optimism, and I admit most of it is just an act that I have fun with (and you guys semi tolerate, hehe) but I wanted to show some love for Stefanski in the aftermath of odd attacks against him. Let's look at the facts so far.

We lose the lifeforce and literal foundation of our offense, Nick Chubb. Chubb was EVERYTHING to our offensive philosophy and we lost him almost immediately. You lose the Steelers game on two freak turnover plays, and the second one is kind of on coach for calling it, but your qb HAS to know he can't fumble. Just fall down.

You lose your starting QB immediately after he finally has a decent game. Your backup was traded by the GM before the season. You're forced to start PJ Walker, by all accounts NOT an NFL caliber QB.

With all this crap going on, our coach has us moving the ball. Not much, but enough. How about that direct snap with Hunt? The flea-flicker screen pass? The fourth down fake toss-pitch that was WIDE OPEN but PJ throws a pitch like Nolan effing Ryan. The TE shovel to Njoku at the end, where once again, PJ throws it SO HARD it literally bounced off Njoku's FACE. What in the actual eff.

Finally, how about the expert playcalling in the very end, including the aforementioned TE shovel pass, but every single play he called should've scored. The one play PJ threw it out of the back had Bryant WIDE ASS OPEN. We scored and gave the ball back with no time.

Stefanski has gone through so much BS and seems to get crushed and I don't think it's totally fair. He's done a ton correctly and does so with class. Don't some of our fans that hate him remember the bungling horse turds we had before? Coach is scheming them up and we're getting points. It ain't pretty, but until we get a real QB or Watson heals, we're going to play the ugly game with a coach that's finding ways to keep us relevant.

I agree, I had been ok with him in prior seasons but before the bye doubts started creeping in. The Indy game especially demonstrated great coaching, maximising your special teams and maintaining confidence in your star player in defense even when the unit was underperforming. Also benching Deshaun was the right decision and finally giving your best offensive unit in the game namely the OL and Kareem Hunt the opportunity to win the game on the winning drive. Cooper is probably our best offensive weapon overall now but no way would he be serviced by PJ in that scenario.   ......  absolutely ,  so he never, ever leaves  and we don't  accidently  ever forget to pay him .......  in small bills, please.

Though he DID get lucky that Hunt scored on 4th down. If he hadn't made it, Kev would never have heard the end of it if he didn't try one more smash Kareem.

That said, man does Walker ever SUCK!!! No accuracy, and little field vision.  For those who still have the tape, I'd suggest you slo-mo on the final drive where PJ threw the ball out of the end zone and lucked out on a horrible ref call..  He had Njoku WIDE OPEN on the three yard line for a walk in TD on that play.

In terms of clock management Kevin made the right call plus when the play is well executed you create your own luck. Walker does suck but wasn't here for training camp and yet to have a full week's practice under his belt.

Yeah we’ve been on the “let them play” side far too often…remember Christmas in Green Bay a few years back.  It was contact.  Don’t feel bad Browns fans.   The Colts are a really solid team but their secondary is garbage.

Hunt at the 1 with 30 seconds…no timeouts…I got two runs called…he’s by far one of the best weapons inside the 5…didn’t like three passes with the turnover machine behind center.

Quincy Carrier gave his opinion on the final sequence of playcalling and I tend to agree with him. In summary with 30 secs left and a back up QB more time conserved with throws rather than stuffed runs. Leave the run for last so if it's stuffed it's the end of the game anyway.

    Picking up a new Bentley,.

That fricking sucks. I don't believe in curses but this is unbelievable, now that we have a SB calibre defense we lose our starting QB. No offense will start negatively impacting the defense. Not even sure if I'll watch any games with PJ or DTR starting.

  8. The Giants have been awful since Saquon was injured. Funny how they paid Daniel Jones all that money when it's now apparent that Saquon was their top offensive player that made the o-line and QB look much better than they actually were. Seattle had zero respect for the Giant's running game and had their way with Daniel Jones, rattling him into dumb throws.

  9. After the preseason mirage, fans had falsely high hopes for DTR. I even read some schmuck say on X/Twitter that after today the Browns would bench Watson. I haven't read through the whole thread so I apologize if this has been answered; when did DTR and the coaches know he was going to start? It really didn't look this gameplan was designed for him, having said that  we haven't figured out our run game after Chubb was injured. Another factor against DTR is Harbaugh's teams know how to gameplan against rookies his score is  now 28-9.

In summary as soon as I heard Watson was out I knew we didn't stand a chance of winning, my only expectation was that the defense would keep the score down but that was hard to do with 3 turnovers and the refs spotting  the Ratbirds 51 yds on the first one.

  10. I watched it last night very entertaining and not as painful as you'd think. The Browns segment was relatively short but instructive.
    My takeaways:
The Browns organization was/is terrible. They should've walked out of the private workout, if a QB can't corral WRs for a workout then he has zero leadership skills.
Manziel actually had talent but became an entitled brat spoilt by his family not his coaches as his father claimed. Heck if you fake an illness to cover your son's benders and inability to perform at the combine don't blame anyone else.
You really need a strong organization around a budding star, Texas A&M didn't provide it. I think he would've fared much professionally under a Nick Saban. After becoming "Johnny Football" he was enabled by everyone, his OC Kliff Kingsbury admitted it on camera.
The sports media is fake news, no one did a fact check on Manziel being "Old Money" and I remember them reporting he was studying tape when he admitted to ZERO minutes of watching tape.
I remember the Merrill Hoge segment on him, Johnny realistically should've been drafted in the lower rounds and given time to see if he really wanted to play football.
His former agent deserves his own show, his antics were hilarious.
