  1. Beyond awful.... And he's usually way off target with his passes too.... A not so stellar 48 qbr. If we're already throwing in the towel against Seattle, I'd rather see DTR take his lumps than PJ... Ya think? Even to my untrained eye, it was obvious from the 5 passes DW threw his mechanics were screwed up. Almost shot putting the ball... The coaches HAD to see in pregame warmups that Watson didn't have it, severe coaching malpractice. Will the Watson haters please stop calling him a pussy because in Stefanski's opinion, it's best to not let Watson play Sunday? He's apparently learned from the Mayfield fiasco to not let a qb go out there and try to play hurt, and lose games in the process- risking further injury. LOL!!! Even with a full week of practice, they're not miraculously turning PJ into a competent QB.... We've seen a lot of lousy quarterback play from those 30+ signal callers the Browns have had since 1999, and I'll have to put Walker in the bottom five- easy. I suggest having your zofran or emetrol handy Sunday to prevent uncontrolled barfing.
  2. Yes, he does need to be executed. Even with a full week of practice, I don't expect PJ to miraculously turn into an even mediocre QB. FWIW, his current qbr is sub 50...
  3. Though he DID get lucky that Hunt scored on 4th down. If he hadn't made it, Kev would never have heard the end of it if he didn't try one more smash Kareem. That said, man does Walker ever SUCK!!! No accuracy, and little field vision. For those who still have the tape, I'd suggest you slo-mo on the final drive where PJ threw the ball out of the end zone and lucked out on a horrible ref call.. He had Njoku WIDE OPEN on the three yard line for a walk in TD on that play.
  4. Unfortunate.... Sometimes Nickers, using the "just cut him" argument doesn't work from a cap perspective. Both Wills and Conklin carry significant ($10 million+) dead cap numbers for 2024. OTOH Jones is currently playing on his 4th round rookie contract that by comparison is paying him peanuts.
  5. LOL, actually, I do hope the 49ers win at least two more games... 1) This coming Sunday when they play the Bungles 2) Give the Browns a Christmas present beating the Ratbirds December 25th.
  6. Don't be dense Nickers. You obviously are clueless how dead cap money works. You cut Watson after the 2023 season there's this little detail of a $200 million dead cap hit. Cut him, you may as well cut the rest of the team while you're at it. Untradeable, and uncuttable. (at least until 2026) Deal with it.
  7. Does he make you long for the likes of Hue Jackson? Even the great coaches can't win without superior talent.
  8. Hey Nickers- did you read that article? We're stuck with the guy... Your hate and dislike of the guy isn't going to make him go away. "To be clear: There is no chance in hell Watson gets benched. It’s a functional impossibility at this point. Cleveland committed too much guaranteed money and helped Watson by back-loading his contract that there’s no way to operate inside the cap and sign another top-tier QB."
  9. Yeah, Watson could be benched- the most expensive dead weight in NFL history. And he actually did get benched because he looked like crap before he got decked in the first quarter. Yes, I know you hate the guy BUT... Mr. Cap Guru, I'm all ears as to how the Browns can somehow get out of paying Watson his guaranteed $230 million. If you look at the dead cap #s, there's no way Cleveland can trade or cut him before the 2026 season. https://spotrac.com/nfl/cleveland-browns/deshaun-watson-21753/
  10. Some other thoughts. Yep, Watson looked terrible even before he got hit. Almost shot putting the ball, and his accuracy was off too. Yeah nickers, I know you think he's washed up- but that albatross contract the Browns gave him means they're married to him for at least several more years. You had better hope that you're wrong about DW. Thing is, the Browns need Watson to play at somewhere close to his former pro bowl level to be in the playoff race. Who knows if that shoulder injury is going to turn into a chronic issue. For sure, we're not going to travel to that house of horrors in Seattle where the Browns have historically played like crap- and think we have a prayer with Walker at quarterback again. He is who he is, a practice squad type of guy. I agree that Berry should start working the phones to try and find an upgrade, but it's going to cost us. We got suckered into thinking in preseason that DTR was ready for prime time, turns out he clearly wasn't. Finally, I certainly hope that Ward's "head injury" isn't yet again another concussion. If it is, it could shelf him for a month, if not for good. I love the guy, I've mentioned he went to the same high school as my niece and nephew... But sometimes you just have to think about life after football. 🙄
  11. Finally have the time to comment. I was at the game, along with thousands of other Browns fans. Don't know if the DEFENSE!! chants made it through on TV. FWIW, the Colts tried some karma on the Browns, they were previously unbeaten at Lucas Oil with the roof open and the window closed. I was pretty shocked that they had the roof open, it was a little chilly tailgating earler in the morning with temperatures in the 40s. Yeah Tex, I was about ill the way the Browns were playing despite getting points off of turnovers, we couldn't stop their running game, and coverage breakdowns in the secondary gave Indy a couple of cheap touchdowns. I had no hope on our game winning drive, hats off to the refs for gift wraping the game for Cleveland with a couple horrible calls. Leaving the stadium it almost didn't feel like a win. But to quote Mike Tomlin "I'm not going to make excuses for a win." Were the Browns over confident? Maybe. I among others, thought the Browns were going to roll into Indianapolis and steamroll the Colts. The team that beat the Ravens that subsequently clocked us. 🙄 We can't expect to win every week on dumb luck and great kicking.... To be continued...
  12. Dead State.. A totally reliable news source. It's little wonder your brain is so warped. Yeah- you forget Trump's Muslim ban? The guy is a Xenophobe. FACT. Said something right out of the Nazi playbook that the "infiltrators" are degrading the gene pool. Why is Trump not in jail yet?
  13. Your ODS is duly noted... AGAIN Go back to OAN, Red State, Newsmax, or Patriot alerts. So you can kiss my ass delusional one. In case you forgot your Orange Messiah added another SIX trillion to the debt. AND he lately stated "Obama is the president". You want DeSatan? He's just Trump, minus the mental insanity, and even farther to the right. So you think just getting your GQP fave in the White House is going to result in $2 buck a gallon gas, 1% inflation and an end to the wars in Ukraine and Israel is 100% crack head QAnon thinking. Yeah, right. In case you need a wake up call out of your rabbit hole, the only side Trump is on is HIS side, and his rich pals.
  14. Well, from reports I've seen from Central Indiana Browns Backers and GNATS Tailgaters (Steve is hanging out in Lot 10 BYOB, his food is sold out), there's going to be a ton of Browns fans invading Lucas Oil Sunday. FWIW, I'm making the two hour drive over to Indy Saturday night. Section 443 for the game. PS- Regarding spoiled fans. Doesn't it just warm your heart that the Patriots have finally returned to Earth after decades of Super Bowls minus the GOAT?
  15. Latest on NFL.com is a lot of coach speak. Watson did practice today... Stefanski- "he's day to day". Listed as questionable on the injury report. 🙄 & looking at that detailed Doc video on rotator cuff injuries, makes sense the muscle he injured is on the back of the shoulder. Rewatching the tape, he did get hit from behind
  16. On paper, it was a good idea to draft York- Groza award winner in college. Could kick the ball out of the stadium. But historically, strange things can happen to great college kickers who get drafted high when the money and pressure of the NFL is involved. Cade is buried on the Titans Practice Squad, so we'll see if he can cure his accuracy woes. Russ, I did have to look it up on Pro Football reference and his career was far longer that I thought it was... Martin "not so" automatica Grammatica. 75% FG% doesn't cut it. Doing some research, there's some very good (even HOF) place kickers that were drafted in the 4th round or higher- and some notable big time busts LOL, the 49ers Mr. Wide Right Jake Moody was drafted #99 overall. Trying to post the table won't work, so for those who have an interest, here's the history of every kicker drafted in the 4th round or higher. 😉 https://www.fanduel.com/research/theduel/highest-drafted-kickers-in-nfl-history-have-any-been-drafted-in-the-first-round-01gyfgykem2p/ For every Sebastian Janikowski, you have a Jeffy DePoyster
  17. & if there's ever a game we can let it slide with PJ this is it. MHO, I'd rather go with a 100% PJ than a 50% Watson. I'm not giving up hope Deshaun could be ready by Sunday. I did look at that YouTube explaining his injury, and it's sort of a weird muscle to get a deep bruise on, you'd almost have to get hit from behind to do it.
  18. Only because there's no room for Moderate Republicans in the GQP anymore Steve. Cal's being pretty funny. You could just switch it to MAGA, with the same result. Change CNN to Fox or OAN and you have it. Cult 45 = IQ 45.
  19. & the green blobs include the AFC South Texans and Titans. Jacksonville doesn't rate apparently.
  20. Watson was limited in practice today- means he actually threw a few passes. So don't rule him out- yet.
  21. 1) Don't ever call me a liberal, and put me in the AOC crowd. 2) I immediately thought of the possibility this was a false flag operation. I certainly wouldn't put it past Hamas to bomb a Palestinian hospital just to raise sympathy across the Arab world for their ""cause".
  22. And Syd gets barely gets a slap on the wrist in return for testifying (I assume) against The Orange One. 🙄 She's still got the Dominion lawsuit to deal with though.
  23. Only if you get treatment for your ODS (Obama Derangement Syndrome) first. The problem is you can't admit Barak ever did ANYTHING good for the country. PERIOD. I already said it- I'm not wasting my time repeating talking points with someone living in some alternate reality. Only to have you call it bullshit for the fourth time. So stuff it Cal... I already said your puff piece on DJT's "accomplishments" is 95% political crap. Watching Fox & Friends, consulting with his criminal pals, and playing a lot of golf. BTW, millions of Americans disagree with your assertion that Obamacare is terrible. So boo hoo... Go back to your rabbit hole already.
  24. Hey Vambo, admittedly Joe isn't much better than DJT- needing to be put out to pasture in an Assisted Living Facility. It's just that Donnie needs to keep him company over in the Dementia Wing. Is this the best we can do America? Two old geezers with failing mental capacities running for president?
  25. LOL, You're the one who keeps on beating a dead horse Cal. So stop congratulating yourself over it. I've said it at least a 1\2 dozen times. I pointed out Obama and Biden's accomplishments several times- and you called them bullshit. I'm not dumb or crazy enough to keep repeating what I said, and you calling it bullshit. And frankly, I know when I'd be wasting my time going to the well again. Yup, the definition of insanity- keep doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting a different result. You apparently hate Obama (ODS) around as much as Trump does, so you're not worth my time arguing your talking point with a loony brick wall. PS Trump added six trillion the the US debt- and his lackey GOP went right along with it. So much for conservative fiscal restraint. Sorry- I don't belong to Cult 45.... Your Greatest President ever, ever, is sadly a figment of your imagination. https://www.c-span.org/presidentsurvey2021/?page=overall
