I would say wrong about both of them yes. Garrett is kinda obvious, he will likely be voted DPOY for good reason.

Ward has an injury bug, but it’s hard to get that level of talent at CB.

Either way we are not in a good position to trade away all of our star power and enter a rebuild - that would be pretty ludicrous given where our roster is at right now.

Do you really think he should be defensive player of the year? I know everyone wants their guy to win this sort of stuff, it's natural but outside of the PFF "win rate" narrative and the Browns being a bit of a darling I don't think he should win. The dude kind of disappeared since November. I also fully acknowledge he's elite and he disrupts the game but I don't feel like you can disappear on the stat sheet like he did for that stretch of time and win. He's lucky they vote before the playoffs. Stallion of a player, not DPOY but you know who I think should win sooooo. 😂

To the board - Sorry about the season fellas. I didn't want the Browns to win but I'd be a liar if I said I wouldn't be happy for some of you here if they made a run. I've got some great buddies who are diehard Browns fans too. Unfortunately I think Watson in more ways than one keeps you from building something truly great on a consistent basis. Albatross contract and all those picks.

    Go Steelers! 😉❤️😂

Dude I know you are used to those 300 pounders in Pittsburgh, but this a Browns Board, we can handle healthy looking beautiful women. You probably have to chug down 5 viagras just to mount one of those babushka wearing wombats that you are used to.

    Z

    Fucking wombats. 😂

I like my ladies to look like they weren't throwing up their food after eating at the restaurant, not like they've eaten the entire restaurant.

It means the 70s Steelers are going to show up with a truck load of steroids for you.... oh wait... they all died prematurely...

Maybe it means Roethlisberger is going to lock you in a bar bathroom and have his way with you? 😏

Roids Schmoids, everyone in that era was needling their ass cheeks.

    Buy a Steelers jersey?

But I still have all my teeth and my wife is in no way related to me.... I'm not sure I fall in the target demographic for Steelers jersey purchasin'... 😆

(But I am glad you are back Vag!)

Don’t get too excited I’m just passing through but I will try to check in more. Don’t forget I live in Ohio now and while Columbus > Cleveland there are plenty of cousin fuckers around here and I know Cleveland is just as bad or worse! 😉

Well hopefully the curse only affects Mike Ford and not the rest of the team then. He's pretty ass anyway, compared to the rest of the corners.

I don't think it works that way. It's blanket bad karma. All you can do now is buy a steeler jersey, tell all your friends and hope for the best!

Never works out in the favor of the team doing bad things to the terrible towel. I don't think a lot of people know the proceeds for the terrible towel go to a special needs school and have since it's inception. It's just bad karma. I guess that means the Browns are gonna get cj stroudified. Watch your ass!

Yeah and you lucky SOBs backdoor into the playoffs when the Jaguars did a complete collapse.  Going on a one win five loss losing streak. I saw you're getting 10 from Vegas against the Bills. :D

BTW, Trevor Lawrence did his best Baker Mayfield imitation trying to play hurt against the Titans... His accuracy was shot that game, I'm sure you enjoyed every minute of it....  :D

The jags shouldn't have stomped on the terrible towel. Steelers went 5-1 in the division with most under the worst coordinator in the NFL. I also think Lawrence is a bit of a bust. His mechanics fly right out the door far too often shoulder injury or not.

Yes I enjoyed every second. Lol

    There's some truth to that.

    Kenny Pickett is mediocre, too.

    Good to see you again!

It's the total truth. Canada stunted Pickett. He had a good game post Canada before doing in his ankle. He will have a chance to right the ship. I will pop in more after the season. 😎🤙

    Zac Jackson

Dude isn't very good at what he does.

I agree, he ain’t great but I think a lot of what he said is warranted. If watson were the qb of the Steelers I’d be incredibly weary. He accounts for a shit load of money and there are no guarantees he will be anything close to what he was in Houston. The clips I’ve seen aren’t the greatest, a few were dak Prescott level picks and dak loves the head scratcher ints.

While I won't disagree he needs snaps, where did you hear he looked rough this off season?

While I just got home from a trip, and my Browns news isn't as thorough as normal, I haven't read or heard he's struggling.

The one dude that writes for the athletic that covers the browns, I can’t remember his name off the top of my head and just based on extended clips I’ve seen. He looks inaccurate and isn’t reading the field like he should. The guy from the athletic tho was pretty critical.

I'm sure he's "safe" as he knows the offense.

I hope Watson plays at least a half vs KC

Watson NEEDS to play at least a half. I don’t know why the browns are acting like he doesn’t need the snaps. He barely played last season and he looked rough. He’s looked rough this off season too and that isn’t me being a Steelers homer. The hopium has people believing he’s Houston Watson. (Hope all is well with the browns board otherwise)

Yeah, this board has lost a few good ones over the last few years.

Some others are too stupid to ever die, so we'll be stuck with them forever. 😉

    😂

I always get a laugh when I check my profile here and see ban notices from zombo.

    warning “being a douchebag” lol

Watson had (I looked it up earlier this morning) a QB rating of like 79 to Pickett's 76. Pickett had a better QBR rating though. I won't pretend to know what the difference is. Regarding Watson's future, I just don't know. For the Browns fortunes, they need him to have that Big Ben sociopath in him: Be a complete shithead off-the-field, but don't allow it to effect his on-field play. Also, the offenses Stefanski has run in the past featured average starting QBs who he had to scheme success for, through a good running game, play-action, rolling the pocket, etc. Watson doesn't need that offense. Can Stefanski evolve to create an offense that fits Watson?

I don't hope Pickett is good. In fact, I hope he's godawful. You should expect the Steelers to be good, they've established a long winning tradition since Cowher took over from Noll. I know I have no delusions that the Steelers are all the sudden going to become a non-factor, as much as I would love to see it.

Good to talk to you again, Vag.

I hope watson is good because I don’t want any excuses in the division. 😉

Good to talk with you too. I try to leave you boys alone in the off-season. I also don’t have gipper to fight with. 😞

He struggled mightily in the six games he played.

Still had a better QB rating than Pickett did, though.

I don’t think he did. I’m also not realistically expecting watson to be bad but I also don’t know that I expect him to completely return to form either. I hope he’s good, I expect the steelers to be.

Well there you go. Ben had pure talent.  Having to "work your ass off" because he isn't as talented as other QB's wouldn't inspire me.

But then again, I'm not saying Pickett isn't going to be good.  He does scare me a little. Look at his eyes. He has the "it" factor.

My point was Ben wasn’t a “student of the game” and kyler Murray routinely pisses his coaches off due to lack of work. Ben probably could have been even better had he done more in that capacity.

Sounds like Vagi is developing Browns optimism before the season starts, wait until he comes up with excuses why they miss the play offs and they'll fix it in the draft.

And it wouldn't be any fun if we didn't haze each other, Squeeler!

Oh I’m almost always optimistic leading into the season but this season I’m probably the most because of our draft and all the off season moves to fill holes. I won’t be making excuses. Matt Canada is the only area that concerns me.

  17. 12 hours ago, Dutch Oven said:

Every time I see the name "Matt Canada" I instantly think about the story of Michael Vick and his alias and whatever STD he was giving chicks - but I can't remember what his alias was!? Ron Mexico?

Lol. It was definitely Ron Mexico.

None of your draft picks, undrafted free agents and longshots are going to work their ass off either to become starters or at least survive the final cuts?

My point was not all quarterbacks do or I should say not all qbs push themselves in fall facets to ascend. Ben for example did it on pure talent all the time but wasn’t exactly mr. Off-season etc. Kyler Murray is well documented.
