Well sweet cheeks I could say the same. I joined on my old name snatch98 in 2003. If you don’t wanna know don’t fucking ask.

The harder the fight the better we should feel.

Lol. I mean I soak up a lot of nfl info. I like to think I know what I’m talking about. Sure a lot of it is my opinion but this one is a head scratcher. If they didn’t give him 230M guaranteed and then go around the commish with how the first year is structured I wouldn’t have much to say. I gotta think Roger is going to care about the browns gutting the weight of a potential suspension. Ultimately at the end of the day I don’t care much. It’s not my team making the move. I’d be mad if it were. 🤷🏻‍♂️

and adding one more top tier qb to the division concerns me very little because the Steelers will still be the Steelers. A more competitive division is better for everyone and it mitch sucks they will get their guy at some point. I’m prepared for a crappy couple seasons if that’s what it takes. I don’t believe it will happen. I don’t want it to happen for Heywards sake.

why are you even here ? and why do you care ?

Awwww are you in your feelings? I’ve been here longer than you. I’ve explained several times when I dip in and out. I went to college in Ohio, all my college friends are diehard browns fans. I joined here yeeeears ago for team info so when I did get in discussions I maybe knew more of what to talk about. I also used to fight with gipper all the time. RIP you grumpy fuck. ❤️

As I mentioned to Flugels...  $230 million will make a lot of those suits go away...  And correct me if I'm wrong... But didn't Ben have to pay off some of his accusers?

I’m talking more to the point that I believe almost no matter what he gets suspended. Beyond that if anything at all happens to him whether it be an injury that is catastrophic or a repeat offense the browns are on the hook unless there are clauses in place. Watson said no to Cleveland and then they got nuts and he’s in uni. If this were the Steelers I’d be irate. Add in how year one was structured it’s even more scummy. I’ve defended Ben plenty but when it all boils down I’ve never cared for how he is as a person. I defended him because he was our qb. I saw the scum bag stuff first hand. He then got all bible thumpy which no offense to anyone here I find nauseating. If I were a browns fan I’d have a hard time being excited about watson. It’s a huge risk and a huge cost.

It's not nearly as wild when you consider what the Broncos just gave up to get Russell Wilson,  Vag....  It was draft picks or players...  We might have been able to cut it down to two firsts, at the cost of giving up say Denzel Ward and a couple more players, but supposedly the Texans only wanted picks... Well- they just got a boatload of them.

"The Broncos have agreed to trade quarterback Drew Lock, tight end Noah Fant, defensive lineman Shelby Harris, two first-round picks (2022 -- No. 9 overall -- and 2023), two second-round picks (2022 -- No. 40 overall -- and 2023) and a 2022 fifth-round selection to the Seahawks for Wilson and a 2022 fourth-round pick"

You can quibble about the contract, but in case you're ignoring it, Wilson is seven years older than Watson.

The draft picks I expected. It’s the 230m fully guaranteed that I think is insane. He has at least 12 civil suits pending.

The fact that you are still on a Browns Board after a big browns announcement on a Friday…has me over the moon that this will work out.

Your spinning is cute tho. Better hope he doesn’t blow out a knee. 👀

    fuuuuulllllllllly guaranteeeeeeeeed.

You keep engaging and I keep getting notified. I’m just waiting on the honey badger. I could be in here yelling rapist. Be glad I’m not doing that. I’ve been posting here a long time.

There is a real possibility watson doesn’t play a down this season. He has a load of civil suits still pending. It drives that first up even higher. Luckily you all have case Keenum who should have played more last year. Watson is a stud but that trade is wiiiiiiillllld and it’s wildness is being ignored. 230m fully guaranteed, three firsts and additional undisclosed draft picks.

The going rate for Top 15 QB play is absurd and it will get progressively worse

We will see on the Bengals and Ravens.  Ball in their court soon.

Or realized he’d like protection and a running game.  But if money played a factor.  Okay.  Sunk in.  Now let’s win the Division and build from there.

Nothing as absurd as that contract.

Oh But I can…giving Baker anything close to this would have been crazy.  And the landscape ($, and guaranteed money) will change next offseason and the season after. That’s why you can thank us when Joey B and Lamar sign their contracts

Watson went to the browns BECAUSE of that deal. He had turned you all down before it. Let it sink in.

Who would give baker that contract? No one. I never said sign baker. You don’t give a dude coming of 20 plus accusers 230 fully guaranteed and trade three firsts plus whatever the hell they sent. As far as your other point is concerned the league implemented rookie caps for that very reason, there is nothing to say they won’t do it again unless they want teams to field uncompetitive teams on a larger scale. I don’t think the ravens or the bengals will be goofy enough to repeat that deal.

  13. Just now, SdBacker80 said:

Yeah sorry about that we’ve changed the landscape on that.  Maybe you should thank us…Lamar and Joey B are gonna get PAID now and they will have to shuffle their rosters.

You can’t spin this one big dog. It’s crazy. 230m fully guaranteed is nuts. The contract was also structured in such a way that if he gets suspended he’s only paid 1m in year one. It’s almost like the browns want to be hated. Lol

Along with 10 other teams.  There are going to be a lot of QB needy teams next year after this draft class.

And more than just stroud in that draft. I frankly think Mitch is going to work out just fine. If he doesn’t he can be easily cut.

  15. 3 minutes ago, SdBacker80 said:

Stroud?  Are you going to go 1-16?

I’m frankly not losing my shit over Trubisky. Culture change, far better coach and organization. What if he doesn’t suck? He’s better than Rudolph and that’s all that matters. The Steelers went 8-8 with duck and mason. I’m not losing sleep over here. Wide open draft this year and that’s nice. You all just trased three firsts plus more and 230 full for a guy that’s going to get suspended and might grab himself another innocent. (Watson talk not directed at you, I know you are normally more level headed)

You're about to find out what life is like without a franchise QB.... it ain't easy out there.

Mitch isn’t as bad as people are making him out to be. He did go to a pro bowl and he did play for the bears. Again If he sucks it won’t be long. Check the qb draft class next year and get back to me. I’d be irate if the Steelers have watson that contract plus the draft capitol. What if he has a catastrophic injury? Hellllllllo Jamarcus Russell.

I expect you to be ruthless, consistent and persistent, as I sure as hell would be. I never personally liked your dude as a man and always rooted against because of the color of his uniform. Now with DW, the first part will be the same, but his uniform color is much more to my liking and I'll root like hell for him on the field.

I will say that there is a feeling inside me that your are going to really hate DW, but not because of his accusations, but for what he's about to do for the Browns for the next 7 years, and to your Steelers...... but hey, look at the bright side, I hear Trubisky is one a hell of a nice guy.

The Steelers via FA have opened their entire draft to do whatever the hell they want. Honey badger opposite minkah is very possible. All the new contracts are also structured to get out of. You may want to check the qb’s next draft. Watson is terrific but his contract is fully guaranteed and it’s a lot. No firsts for three seasons and who knows what else. You should be happy but acting like the browns are going to run away with the division now is hilarious. I was already talking about how the browns were going to have trouble keeping the roster together and they just gave 230 to one guy, all guaranteed. He’s still gonna be running from our d which is getting better by the day. If Mitch sucks stroud is in play. 🤙
