  1. Belichick had no choice, given that Drew Bledsoe was hurt. Not sure where you were going with that comparison.
  2. Fumble at the worst time turned this from a manageable game to having to sling the rock to dig out. This is the time of the year that teams get locked in, with the taste of the playoffs being a reality. The games end up being a little faster, hitting a little harder, grinding more focused throughout the week. And 2 of the next 4 AFC games are against squads fighting for every inch to make that wildcard dream come true. So, more than anything, you need a healthy squad walking into December. The Browns are the opposite of a healthy squad. Really and truly going to come down to the last 2 weeks.
  3. The fuck is Payton doing calling a waggle when you're up by 2 scores with 3 minutes? Lucky he didn't get Wilson fucked up there. And if he had, there would be nobody to blame but himself.
  4. Not a joke, the last two weeks of the year. Have to beat the Jets and the Bengals. It's why I said I don't believe Flacco would start until then.
  5. Newsie wanted to play outside more. Well he's had quite a rough day, especially working at the LoS against Sutton.
  6. Have to give it up to Vance Joseph. He has been dialed in today. Pressure Pressure Fence the line, anticipating screen. Blows it up. Brings pressure off the boundary. You have tip your hat to the other side when they call a clean game.
  7. He couldn't even get in front of the Colts without gift wrapping his customary "duh" type INT. FYI, you're probably 8 deep by now. It's showing my guy.
  8. By the way, while Pierre can be a strong runner, he dropped that exchange on the toss. That's simple stuff. So for anyone wondering why we don't see more of him, ball security is #1. Can't be trusted if you can't hold onto the rock. At worst that should have been a TFL.
  9. I think he took a shot to the shoulder. Looks like a stinger that ran up his arm.
  10. For anyone wondering why we threw on early downs off ball action with DTR... Can't let these pass rushers pin their ears back. And you have to threaten the DB's. Down two scores? It's a nightmare personnel matchup along the lines for us.
  11. More questionable officiating. Refs protecting QB's and players more than they protect themselves.
  12. Boys, let's play a game called 'follow the fullback'. When Russ flips the hole like that, who do you think is more likely to get the ball? Williams or the fullback? Linebackers are just losing their heads in the moment.
  13. Wowzer. See, if that TD ends up not connecting, most people would bitch about "not taking the points". It worked, so everyone is on board with the aggression. I wasn't a fan of that call, especially when your defense has tightened it up 2nd half. That said, it was balls of steel by Stef.
  14. DEN keeps walking out in these umbrella looks. Playing a game of "guess which safety is dropping?" Bail out flag. I don't like that call at all.
  15. What's frustrating has been the lack of connection. Some of the throws have absolutely been there. But drops, some off timing and questionable ball placement have been the difference. Then we have to come back and run into a +1 on 2nd down, hoping to make it 3rd and manageable. Rough living out here.
  16. Penn State tried, damn near the exact formation and personnel, that very same toss on 3rd/4th and short against Ohio State in 09'. Pretty sure Thaddeus Gipson snuffed it out. Sometimes you can just get a little too cute.
  17. I really like Eds in these pre-mid-post game shows. He's actually pretty funny and doesn't sugar coat things. But I've also met him and he was a mega douche. So... I'm conflicted.
  18. There was? I don't remember that at all. I remember Shonn Green and LT plus a loaded secondary carrying his corpse through the regular season until they ran into the Colts a couple times.
  19. There is no better option right now. Which is why Flacco is on the sideline picking PJ's brain. They showed him asking what the calls were and PJ talking about routes. Until there's a lot more homework done, Flacco also won't be ready for the test. Vet or not. And Ceddy finally showing what I said he was capable. Thanks CT3.
