  1. Jackson faced 57 players who were drafted by the NFL.... plus UDFAs. Does look like 8 of the 57 were Louisville players, so he only faced them in practice.

Great kid, don't get me wrong.  He seems very humble and hard working.  But if you can detail to me in a paragraph or less what makes him so much more capable of being an NFL QB than say.... Pryor was when leaving tOSU - I might be willing to listen.    Keep in mine, Terrelle worked in a pro-style offense, under center, with 3, 5 and 7 step drops.

Actually, I'll challenge anyone here that likes Jackson to answer that question.  What traits and flashes have you seen of Lamar that would begin to make you believe he is somehow going to be an elite or even above average QB one day?   Of course I ask this to be contrasted with Terrelle Pryor circa 2011.   (Won't happen)

    Aaaaaaand GO!

Have to start by saying I don't remember TP working from under Center all that much... so I may not put up much of a fight here... but here goes...

I think Jackson is a far better Pro QB Prospect than Pryor ever was.

For one thing he has a suddenness to his running that TP lacked. TP had long-striding, "deceptive speed", but little else. I think the same contrast applies to their passing... Jackson snappier; Pryor longer.

On the move my memory of TP was that once he was in motion, he was running. Jackson seems to have extended more plays that ended up still being passes.

In the pocket... TP may as well have stood for "two progressions" because that was about his total for his tOSU days. Jackson? More scanning for "open" than true D-reading progressions, but there were periods of time, especially in 2016, when he operated from the pocket and looked good doing it.

The Bearcats were set up for a cakewalk to the Final Four ... and they lose a 22 point lead to Nevada???

    First... best Seinfeld episode ever.

I was watching Cinci game. When it and the other late game were well in hand, I got bored and switched to do a little gaming. lol

  4. Very...

Meanwhile Big Blue almost made me a disinterested spectator.... my wife's Alma Mater gave them more than they could handle.

It was really really hard to not openly pull for "the other team"...

But, yes, a sizeable cheer slipped out when the final shot bottomed out... oops!

  5. The good news is I did not have Virginia in the Final Four...

The bad news in I had Arizona beating them in Round 3.

A quadrant is a terrible thing to waste.

Still... as low as my point total currently places me, my point potential hasn't been bashed as badly as many of the "current leaders".

  6. 145-114... 259 games picked. At $100 per game that's $25,900 wagered. Of that:

    • $11,400 were losers...
    • 145 * $190 = $27,550 were winners.

Lotta work for a $1650 profit... before taxes... gambling winnings are still taxable, right?

OK guys and gals it's SUPER BOWL LII time coming up, so any special weekend or Sunday parties or plans? Special fare or just regular gametime food?

Wife is making a huge pot of her Super Bowl chili. It's an old recipe she has refined over the years. It is amazing.

She's started already and is braising the beef chunks (vs. ground beef... my major contribution to the refinement) as I type... and it smells great.

Will be eating on it all day tomorrow.
