  1. ...IT SEEMS...is the key part of that sentence. It just 'seems' that way. I, for one, speak out negativity when I feel it's due. But you don't hear me bitchin' about this deal. Sometimes, the guys 'against' in THIS thread, are the guys in 'favor' on other signings, trades, etc. We're not all going to like every move Dorsey makes. Just like we''re not all going to like every play call Kitchens makes during the season. ............... Me, I'm probably too cheap to have made the deal. ...but here's what we've done. We've solidified a highly important position group when it comes to scoring points. Being able to pass the ball is just sooo important. Dorsey's got Baker and he sees a champion in him. He wants to give that kid every possible weapon you can think of. Look at the backfield Baker has. The TE's - Njoku and they've kept DeValve. - Every possible weapon at his disposal. Think; Marino, Duper & Clayton Mayfield, Beckham & Landry
  2. He rounds off his routes. Not a crisp route runner at all.
  3. I don't see why Nicker's shouldn't be allowed to share his opinion. Or why he shouldn't be allowed to dislike the move.
  4. We're taking Thursday night of the draft off. So now we're set at WR. A big need is done. Onward and upward.
  5. ....all righty then. Like him or not, he's a Brown and has to get a clean slate with us fans. Peppers I guess will play goalie in NY now.
  6. I don't like Beckham. He's an ass.....and would probably wind up being one wherever he goes.
  7. I think that we're all a little gun shy of being optimistic because of the past. Dorsey & Mayfied (and hopefully Freddie) are certainly reasons to be optimistic. Mayfield, however needs to fully understand that he cannot get hurt. He has to throw it away, slide, get OB, or just plain fall down. Without him, we'll suck.
  8. Yup, you need to be able to run the ball respectably...but you ABSOLUTELY MUST be able to pass the ball, cos if you can't, your opponent will shut down your run and you'll be dead in the water.
  9. I don't have to read the link. Hunt is an a-hole. He's a punk. A thug. I friggin' hate him. But he probably would've ended up a Steeler to replace Bell. We have him now. Better here than there. It's a talent driven league. That's why Josh friggin' Gordon wound up on the Patriots. Things get overlooked if you're good at playing football.
  10. Not a bad thought. You know that SOMEONE was gonna tap him.
  11. At least we don't have any cheerleaders for him to beat up.
  12. James Campen in for Wylie. Wiley was a treat. And the OL did a good job during the 2nd half of the season. Robinson & Mayfield also helped the OL. But the guy didn't even believe in stretching exercises. lol I'l never forget in TC / or pre season, when there were questions about the LT position and how Harrison was struggling. Somebody asked Wylie about the possibility of moving Bitonio over to LT as plan B.....and Wylie replied, That would be plan Z! And sure enough Hue, in his finite wisdom, inserts Bitonio at LT.
  13. If before the season you'd have said that we'd have the same record it would've had a completely different meaning.
  14. I should think that the extra tv money from two bye weeks and extra season time would be lucrative.
  15. Very sad. Way too young. Thoughts and prayers to his family!
  16. In THIS country, you're entitled to your wrong opinion.
  17. Would be a good question for the guy that drafted them. I was hoping that we would've found a way to draft Mahomes. But, of course, we had Sashi.
  18. As I recall the Cowboys kept us out of some championship games back then.
  19. There is that! We got screwed by the Steelers and Broncos when we had Kosar. .....and it was the Packers & Cowboys.....we beat the Colts. - using my brand new laptop right now. just got it set up. isn't it great? (my Vaio crapped out a couple of weeks ago)
  20. TOTALLY different era. An era of if your weren't good enough to play offense, you played defense. An era when you could run power sweeps. We're in a new century now. Come join us. (and still, our '64 championship was won with 3 TD passes) ...and the Patriots were going to trade with the Giants if Baker was there to draft.......and the Cards were going to trade with us at #4 but only if Baker was there (not if Barkley was there). Do I know if Baker is going to be great? No. My crystal ball doesn't work too well.
  21. ok. I wasn't on this board back then. I had no clue of your take on Richardson before he played a down with us. But I can tell you this, I don't value the RB position as highly as you do......because I live in New England and have watched the Patriots win super bowls with washed up RB's. I view the league as an offensive, passing league first and foremost. ....oh, and when Richardson started out pretty good with us, Jim Brown changed his tune into, "I see some of myself in Trent Richardson." Perhaps he was talking about his (Jim's) non willingness to block.
  22. It's June 2018. What's different now than it was in June 2012 when we drafted Trent Richardson? (you have to put Richardson's failure out of your mind....because we're comparing now to June 2012) ------ Butch Davis was lousy. He drafted Gerard Big Money Warren, when all the scouts told him Richard Seymour was the pick. And he drafted Winslow...who had a 15 yard unsportsman-like penalty in just about every game he ever played. He was a dope then and a dope now.
  23. No argument here. Don't know what came over me. Greed maybe.
