Visited Cincinnati for the first time last summer, thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Caught two Indians/Reds games while there.

Stopped in an Irish bar to have a drink on the way back to the hotel after both games (O'Malley's in the Alley) and had a Rheingheist Truth the second night, because when in Rome.... Grossest beer I've ever had. I can drink some Summer Shandy, Blue Moon, etc, but Truth was disgusting. Fucking grapefruit. Ugh.

And Skyline tastes like someone tried to make chili, had a stroke, and then thought they were trying to make a pumpkin pie. Seriously, what the fuck is that shit?

    LOL!

I don't like "fruity" beer & I can't IMAGINE drinking beer that tastes like grapefruit. OMG!!!!

  2. I never ate at the Maisonette, although I know it was highly rated nationally. My late Brother in Law loved Montgomery Inn for ribs (I loved the salted rye bread they sometimes served from a local bakery, https://phileobakery.com/). Larry, I agree that Cinci chili SUCKS, but it does have many fans (mostly Cinci area raised).

Little Kings?...I HATE being served a LITTLE beer! Buy a case & you get the equivalent of 14 regular beers. IMHO, that's UnAmerican!!

Since Owen passed, the only thing I miss in Cinci is that salted rye bread & I can't find it anywhere else! When I get NEAR SW Ohio, I'm getting that bread..it is addictive.

    Explain this.

It's just my opinion on threads that have gone completely off topic, often becoming a 2 person banter (no matter WHO may be involved)for many posts.

Once again, it's just my opinion, so no in depth explanation seems necessary. Sorry if anyone took it personally & got pissed.

  4. I have been excited about Richardson since we signed him & think his presence & play will be an absolute key to our D. In addition, the Browns signed him for 3 years & he has stated that someone finally gave him a "home". IMHO, that alone will pay huge dividends as he is "all in". Count me among Sheldon Richardson's Fans.

They are great kids, Mike, and Abbi is so athletic, it's obvious she takes after your better half and your daughter !😎

Maybe my daughter (and I), but if she took after my better half, she wouldn't have ANY athleticism! :D

I bet he don't go there anymore.....guys gotta stop enabling this cat like he can't do anything wrong. Someone might sock him...

I hope it's not you who "socks him". That might hurt your wife's career as an agent. 🙄 OOPS! I shouldn't assume, should I?

Here is a great example of a true leader shooting down all the BS the media likes to stir up i.e. Baker vs Duke, Coach vs coach" "It's a non-issue" "Who is your source? Who are you getting all this from?" "We'll be fine"

The way Jarvis said "Who's your SOURCE? Where you gettin' this from?" (about the 1:05 mark) is CLASSIC!

These guys will train this media yet. LMAO

  8. One of my twin 13 year old Granddaughters, Abbi DeSantis, competed this morning in the AAU Gymnastics Nationals in Orlando, Florida. She is in Excel Gold Level & I would say she did OK.....

Balance Beam (her weakest event)....9.1, 2nd place 🥈

    Floor Exercise......................................9.55, tied for 1st   🥇

    Vault.....................................................9.3, 1st place  🥇

    Uneven Bars........................................9.9, 1st place  🥇

    Overall.................................................37.85, 1st place  🥇

This old Grandpa is so proud he could BURST!!! Abbi's goal is Olympics & I ain't betting against her.  She has the competitive spirit of our boy Baker!

Here are today's survey questions,   and I admit that I took some of these straight from the WKNR Rizzo show that is going on now, plus a couple of others. Give your answers.

    1. Brownie the Elf seems to be making a big comeback on Browns gear.   Do you like the elf?

Of course! I grew up with him.

    2. Cleveland Browns Stadium aka bankrupt first energy.....needs a new nickname.   What do you think would be a good new nickname for it...now that the Browns appear to be poised to become winners.

I'm with Texas Ag on this...Browns' Stadium

    3. Name someone you think has been an underrated as an all time athlete, i.e. someone who hasn't really gotten his due.  This can be from any sport from any era.

Clay Mathews Jr. When he was in his mid 30s, John Madden (then announcing) said he was the best LB in the game. Can't believe he is not yet a HOF'er

    4.  What is your opinion about the so called "unwritten rules" in sports?  Things such as..celebrating a home run can get you beaned. Or running up the score. (The US women beat the Thailand women in soccer yesterday....by a score of 13-0...and are being accused of being unsportsmanlike for running up the score and celebrating after scoring some of the later goals)

    1) Women's World Cup Soccer..Point differential is used as tie breakers..That's important. 2) Celebrating a goal in a worldwide tournament held once every 4 years? I don't blame those gals a bit. 3) I'm good with "Hurt my guy & I'll hurt yours".

    5. I leave Friday for 2 weeks in New England.  What are your summer travel plans, if any?

Heading to Traverse City, Michigan to visit elderly cousin & will also fly fish the Sturgeon & Au Sable rivers as I have done before. Another stop will be "Tony's I75 Restaurant", where their BLT has a POUND of bacon. On my bucket list of stops & may send me TO the "bucket". LOL

Well, no one is talking about his "money" or moves.....in fact, Duke has a HUGE contract for what he has done to this point.....8th highest RB salary in the entire league.....and even with that, he is causing waves on a team that is all positive vibes right now.

For the umth time, Baker simply said get on the train or get off. Which is perfect!!! This sitting on fence whining is for pussies.

The team leader(Baker) has every right....and responsibility....to maintain and build team chemistry. If a player is openly unhappy and wants out and is not a positive influence on his team and teammates, then the leader can(and should) speak up(if asked).

No one gives 2 craps about Tom Brady, Aaron Rogers or what anyone else does or doesn't do. Each leader leads his own way and there is no one way that is best. Whatever works.

Duke has his contract. Duke has his team. Its his job(and his agents) to shut up and perform or to leave. Of course, he wont leave because the Browns have made him a richer man than he deserves to be.....

IMHO you couldn't have said it better John. I, for one, agree with you.

I've seen people bitch and moan about those two (and others who dare report how shitty this organization has been) during 2-14 seasons.

I want specific instances of the "sad" negative crap they have written regarding these new and positive Browns that was completely baseless and unwarranted Mike.

Because I've seen Grossi on STO's RedZone for years, and as much as some of you complain about him, he is almost giddy talking about the Browns when they actually win or make smart organizational moves - for someone so many people think loves to shit on the Browns just to shit on the Browns. Hoorta has mentioned this multiple times too.

What I wrote are my observations & opinions. I'll not defend them to anyone else. You & I obviously see Grossi differently & that's ok.

    Have a nice day.

Cowherd is a hack who only thrives because people like so many on this board get all riled up over his laughably obvious attempts to piss them off.

Regarding the local press, how exactly should have this franchise been covered over the last two decades? They have had TWO winning seasons since coming back in 1999, one playoff appearance (an epic choke job to your biggest rival) and have lost roughly 2/3rds of their games.

Reporting on this franchise in a positive light over all these years would have been ridiculously negligent to their readers. The Browns deserved all the negative press they got. You want someone to shove sunshine up your butt while the Browns flailed along helplessly? Watch Nathan Zegura.

Hopefully that era of futility is over, and the local media can report on the positive future.

    Dutch,

The 2 folks I referred to, MKC & Grossi, CONTINUE their negative crap during these new, positive times & you're DEFENDING their continuing with the negative BS because of the past? That's unfortunate as "now" is NOT the last 2 decades. It's a new time & a new culture.

It's time to stop looking back & START looking ahead!

Mud I have believed all along that as soon as we had a very quality D-Line the LB's would be free to play up to the level they need to be. No more OLs running past DLs to get to the LBs on running plays. This is gonna be fun to watch this year.

Bill, I agree. Our LBs were attempting to stop RBs that (far too often) had an "untouched" full head of steam by the time they got to the backers. I don't think that will happen much this year with the DL upgrades we have made & you are correct, that should help our LB play immensely. I also love the addition of Takitaki & Wilson. I honestly think we'll be ok (or better) at LB this season.

My simple advice.. "Don't feed the Troll"

Simple & to the point, thank you.

I think many on this Board would LOVE to see Cowherd, Grossi, & MKC go away. The only way that will happen is by ignoring them. PERIOD!
