  1. Now, now PO, let's put the brakes on a little here. You wanted to take Saquon with our #1 pick last year. Had that been done, we wouldn't have Baker now. Fact: Baker went #1 & Saquon #2, so I agree with Tex, you can't say you won with both. Besides, we got the better of that choice. Mike
  2. Not a QB room I would trade ours for. Not even close. Mike
  3. I like Pluto (who doesn't?) & I was a huge Hal Lebowitz fan. I was a Plain Dealer paperboy & 1st thing I read daily was the column "Ask Hal". Mike
  4. We'll see how it goes, but I've waited a LOT of years for a Browns' LB that hits like Mack. Gonna be fun to watch. Mike
  5. IF Hill even plays again in the NFL, I'm betting he'll get some hits That'll rattle his world. It's called Karma. Too many players & teammates in this league who love their children. Mike
  6. I should have made myself more clear. Injuring a child should mean no more NFL. The part I highlighted a year is not enough for that. He should be done. Mike
  7. IMHO, ANY player guilty of child abuse should be banned from the NFL permanently. Mike
  8. I see the "rolling eyes" emoji, I made it a little clearer with the pink in case some thought you were serious. I DESPISE Pat Shurmur. When he was HC here, Colt McCoy went down, obviously concussed. Shurmur not only put him back in the game, he put him on the podium after the game & the kid was almost incoherent. Worse yet is that Holmgren didn't fire Shurmur on the spot. The current concussion protocol was put in place due to that total disregard for a player's health. Mike
  9. Yep. We DO have outstanding Coordinators & position Coaches, especially Campen on the OL & that will help a lot. My biggest concern is at LB. Also, that early Bye Week may actually help to give us a little time to work on little "bugs" that may pop up. I'm hoping that we should be in pretty good shape by the Bye Week (if not before). It also helps having players that fit what Dorsey wants, smart & passionate.....I'll call 'em "WII" players...Winners who are Intelligent & Intense. Mike
  10. Right on the money! 2007 was an absolute FLUKE! I could never understand the DA hype....Strong arm, NO touch. We now have a REAL QB and surrounding talent. What needs to happen now is for all this talent to gel as a UNIT. To be really great on field, these players need to learn what the tendencies, strengths, & weaknesses are of those players around them, then work together to mesh & achieve goals. I think that will happen, but it will take time & how much time is the question....games? weeks? a season? longer? Who knows? Stay tuned folks as it's gonna be fun watching this Team grow. Mike
  11. Thanks Steve. I believe the "poor tackling" is largely a coaching issue. This hard, body block tackling may have resulted in more turnovers, but also (IMO) a LOT of missed tackles, longer gains, & extended drives against us. I would rather see solid tackling that results in more "3 & outs". The talent is there. I am anxious to see what different utilization of that talent brings plus I want another solid LB. Mike
  12. Some of this stuff may be accurate, but I'll just wait to see the official schedule & times. Until then, it's just rumor. Mike
  13. https://www.clevelandbrowns.com/news/the-improbable-story-of-how-little-known-wr-damon-sheehy-guiseppi-landed-a-tryou Fascinating story & unbelievable determination to play NFL football. The kind of story that adds to the preseason experience. Mike
  14. You, young man, have EXCELLENT taste in women AND their attire! Mike
  15. Cheddar. I love a good, sharp cheddar & use it in place of American. Mike
  16. Goodbye Rod Streater.....OBJ may want that number 13!! Mike
  17. I wanted him too, but I just want to see how many more rabbits Dorsey can pull out of his magic hat!!! Don't rule ANYTHING out! Mike
  18. Thanks Cal. As you recall, right after OBJ signed with the Giants last year, I said he would be a Brown in 2019. Now I still want Higgins too. Mike
  19. I predicted LAST spring that OBJ would be a Brown in 2019, but I failed to think of the effect on my Draft Party! LOL The party has been all 3 rounds, now down to 2 unless Dorsey pulls yet ANOTHER rabbit outta the hat!!.....YAHOO!!!! Mike
  20. Garafalo just stated Beckham is a Brown! OH YEAH!!! Mike
  21. As a Vietnam Vet, I have NEVER been treated better & with more respect than at Mission BBQ in Canton. Chain or not, this place Really makes Vets, Safety Forces & First Responders feel special & the food is excellent too. At noon daily, they play The Star Spangled Banner & ALL stand. All food made fresh on premises daily & they do not have a freezer or microwave. I have a real soft spot for Mission BBQ. Mike
  22. I can't stand Drew Rosenhaus & fear we may lose Perriman as a result of DR's bullshit & another player putting blind faith in him. Only hope is Perriman has the good sense to say, "I'M staying in Cleveland!" Frankly, I'm amazed players align themselves with that A-hole. He did a hell of a job for Pryor, didn't he? Mike
