  1. This is pure comedy gold. I'll never tire of Cal playing the victim and Steve being his shining knight in frilly shirts and coming riding to his rescue. The barely hidden homoerotic Baker talk is an added nugget of fun for everyone. As always, good times~ 😁
  2. Somehow the Browns managed with Nick Chubb. And he did nothing vs the Browns when he came to Cleveland last fall.
  3. Got the impression that Ryan Day was on the fence bringing him back after he was only offered a one year deal after the season, and cut his pay. I also get the impression that Alford saw the writing on the wall that Chip Kelly wasn't going to fight to keep him around either. Good guy, meh recruiter, almost a decade in Columbus. Enjoy the circus that is coming to Ann Arbor, Tony.
  4. LB is a position group that this front office does not like spending money on. It will be interesting to see how they deal with JOK as he nears free agency.
  5. I get this, but what team out there is seriously thinking of signing 39 year old Joe Flacco and starting him? Then again, I don't understand why the Browns would look at Flacco and Winston and go "Well both will sign with us, the money is comparable, so lets go with Winston." I really think they didn't want to deal with a QB controversy. I kind of think that's why we have Winston now. I think this speaks to how confident they really are in Watson coming back and playing well. (Not very confident, I suspect)
  6. Syd has to be "on that other forum" to bring up the fact that you are a whiny bitch? I doubt mjp or tia will mind someone saying that about you on this forum. I'm sure they agree.
  7. 1. The beer could always be colder 2. The orange is a weird shade now. Thanks, Haslams. 3. Looks like Tennessee BECAUSE THE HASLAMS ARE GOING TO MOVE THE TEAM RABBLE RABBLE! There, done.
  8. How is Lamar going back into the pocket to pass, seeing a lane open and deciding to run instead "taking touches away from Henry"? Seems to me that would take possible touches away from his receivers.
  9. We could very well be. But then what would some on here whine about?
  10. Browns re-signed OL Michael Dunn and DT Shelby Harris. Browns pretty much bringing everyone back on DLine from last year but Jordan Elliot, who signed with San Francisco.
  11. Good points, and my buddy who texted me that the Browns signed him made the same point that apparently Winston is really well-liked with his teammates. And yes, you nailed it, there aren't going to be "WE WANT WINSTON!" chants at the Browns Stadium after the first incomplete pass by Watson, so there's that. I'd much rather have Flacco, but there is the fun of the faux outrage from the Selective Morality Contigent that lives over on another forum and visits this forum from time to time, and that's always fun to witness, so there's that too... 🤣 And there's always the chance that Flacco is holding out hope someone gives him a legit shot at starting again... I just don't see it, but you never know.
  12. So Hines is a decent, versatile backup/depth RB. He's not going to blow your proverbial doors off, but he can run, receive and return kicks, and he's only 27. He did miss the entire 2023 season due to a leg injury he suffered last July while jet skiing. Titty sprinkles.
  13. Traded a well-liked turnover machine at backup for a not well-liked turnover machine at backup. Bold move, Cotton.
  14. He was a good special teamer/role player for the team, good luck in New England!
  15. It's almost like, and work with me on this, continuing to add length to a pro football schedule is a bad idea. Quantity over quality. I'd roll it back to 14 regular season games if I was King of the NFL.
  16. Very true, but he's going to have go come up with some cash if he wants to keep his best draft pick to date - JOK.
  17. Looks like the Browns have signed Walker's replacement, with former Vikings LB Jordan Hicks. 2 years, $8 mill. Hicks played under Schwartz in Philadelphia.
  18. Well look here, it's Ruh-Tard Tourette's Cal! My goodness, the inferiority complex on that one.
  19. Considering Walker is officially gone and Takitaki is a free agent, I sure hope so.
  20. Makes me feel better about the DLine...
  21. I wanted the kid from The Cheaters Up North, but Colson was predicted to be a 2nd round pick, and that went out the window when I traded down. Almost took Ohio State's Tommy Eichenberg, but I wanted Cade Stover more and didn't want to get all OSU homer on my mock... then I realized that somehow I mocked us getting two Utah Utes. TWO UTES!
  22. If the guy catches 50+ balls at 14.5 yards a clip, I'll be fine with the guy. Adds some needed speed/quickness.
