$4m a year sounds spot on for a position that Berry doesn’t usually put much resources into.

Very true, but he's going to have go come up with some cash if he wants to keep his best draft pick to date - JOK.

Nice work!  The guys in bold above from rounds 3-5 nail some big needs as do your last 2 guys.  You may get some feedback from guys wanting a LBer 1st - but we'll have to wait and see who is available at pick #54.

I wanted the kid from The Cheaters Up North, but Colson was predicted to be a 2nd round pick, and that went out the window when I traded down. Almost took Ohio State's Tommy Eichenberg, but I wanted Cade Stover more and didn't want to get all OSU homer on my mock... then I realized that somehow I mocked us getting two Utah Utes.

    TWO UTES!

  3. Alright boys... I picked up a trusty Lindy's Draft Guide this morning at the local grocery store, so let me throw out a mock draft. I channeled my inner Andrew Berry and traded down from the 2nd round pick to the 3rd round, picking up a 4th for my troubles.

3rd Round: DT Ruke Orhorhoro, Clemson. 6'4", 290lbs. Very good pass rusher from inside, needs polish vs run game.

3rd Round: Safety Cole Bishop, Utah. 6'2", 209lbs. Rangy safety better vs pass than run.

4th Round: TE Cade Stover, Ohio State. 6'4", 251lbs. Solid as a receiver and a blocker.

5th Round: OG Sataoa Laumea, Utah. 6'4", 311lbs. Experienced, 44 college starts. Speed over power.

6th Round: OT Julian Pearl, Illinois. 6'6", 315lbs. Very good athlete, but raw.

7th Round: ILB Nathaniel Watson, Mississippi State. 6'2", 247lbs. Stout vs the run, limited athlete.

Sometimes a mock draft kind of falls into your lap, where need meets value, but this one took a while to flesh out. Still, I feel like I addressed needs with decent players.

I'd say the big 3 involved are LB, IOL + IDL.  Swing tackle for later rounds now that Jed's contract has been restructured.

That said, the more I think about it, the more I think @Flugel also has the pulse of it as well - don't rule out DB.  Our safety play was pretty tragic at times, no more so than against Houston.  Ronnie Hickman hasn't improved on his struggles at tOSU and those early "elite" grades from PFF had people really in a false sense of security about his abilities.

LB, OG/C and DT are my main focuses too, along with another Tackle.

But you definitely can never count out the Browns under Berry going DBack. Fo sho.

Now coming to Cleveland, a team in desperate need of an upgrade to their wide receiver room, Jeudy will be inserted as the WR2 for the Browns.

Story originally appeared on Browns Wire

Why would the Browns be desperate to upgrade their WR room?

Don't they know the genius that is Comrade Calfox has deemed it to be vastly upgraded last year? 🤣

It's this fizzy German beer, they're all like lagers, better than that Fosters rubbish that some of my mates drink. I can't wait to get on it before I come out then after a week of it I'm pining for a pint of Taylors Landlord or Exmoor Gold, the type of hand pulled real ale that I slurp at home with no fizz. Just 3 nights to go then fly back Monday if they aren't on strike. I can highly recommend Munich, lovely place.

I went to a Scottish bar in Cincinnati a few years ago and ran into Belhaven beer.

    Pretty damn tasty.

True. Believe it or not Texas has another WR (Adonai Mitchell) that could be tempting in round 2 if still available (despite more pressing needs). He's 6'2" 205lbs and the stats below show us he scored 11 TDs while averaging 15.4 yards a catch in 2023. Aside from that he ran a 4.34 at the Combine.  That didn't look like a fun tandem to try to defend.

    I think I'd gladly take the 6'2" 205lb WR who ran a 4.34!

Only if he does a tandem with my expert skydiving daughter who can land on one foot without so much as rolling on the ground. Today's parachutes 🪂are more like gliders that can stop on a dime. Totally different from the ones I used which I now refer to as crash and burn chutes.😱☄️

Were you a paratrooper in the Army?
