Hopefully you are right. But your prediction feels more like a "hope and a prayer" than anything, at this point. It still is early, though, but this has been a troubling start.

Why the hell would Freddie bring in someone else to be the OC but then call his plays? Either run the offense completely Freddie, with your offensive plan and your playcalling, or have Mokken run the offensive side of the ball and call HIS plays. Because this offense does not resemble the offense of last season that got Freddie the job at all.

I can't wait to hear Freddie answer why he didn't challenge the defensive interference on that drive, and then why the fuck he ran a draw on 4th and 9. I honestly think he had no idea it was 4th down.

I predicted a 28-20 loss for the Browns, so the 20-13 loss was pretty much right on point, but... I am so disappointed by how sloppy this team has been and by how Baker has regressed. I have no idea how they stayed within a touchdown of the Rams. Hats off to the defense and coach Wilks. The offense is offensive.

This, on the other hand, might affect Goff. I liked Goff entering the Draft, he's been very good the last season+, but I get the impression that he doesn't handle poor weather well.

I've heard rumors that it might rain Sunday night, and it seems like Goff struggles in poor weather games.

I find it interesting that the same people on this board who excuse poor play by Browns players as the byproduct of little playing time in preseason also think there's some anti-Browns conspiracy by the refs who call penalties on these supposedly rusty players "who treat September like their preseason".

I hope I'm wrong, but it sure feels like the NFL is slowly but surely turning into the NBA.

You know what Baker so far reminds me of? Remember back to when you were in school. You have a test that you really didn't study for, you sweat through it, thinking you've bombed it, then it gets handed back to you Monday morning and you get an A. "Wow, I'm a fuckin' wiz at this!" you think, so you don't really study much for the next test, either. "I half-assed it last week and got an A, so I got this..." And the next test comes, and minutes into it you realize that you got lucky once, but reality has hit you smack in the face. You can't just breeze through it without trying hard, you have to keep working at it consistently or it will bite you in the ass. Baker to me looks like a guy who did everything this offseason BUT working at getting better at QB, and he knows it. He looks rattled.

They got a top pick who is young, and I bet they still win 6-8 games. But if they don't, and miss out on a QB, they better hope Rudolph is the answer.

I think they now have (3) first rounders and (2) second rounders for the 2020 Draft.
