  1. Not going to get into him as a teammate, but he's got a career 3.7 yards per carry after his first two seasons. There's some value as a guy who can consistently churn out 3 or 4 yards for a ball-control team (see: Eddie George) but as the 4th overall pick in the draft? Dude has been underwhelming so far considering his hype entering the NFL. Ezekiel Elliot, Saquon Barkley or Todd Gurley he is not.
  2. Hmmm... I have family within a hour of the Meadowlands. Might be time for a road trip!
  3. The good thing is the rookie can easily find like-minded company here. The amount of fake tough guys on here is almost impressive.
  4. Roughly 20 or so years ago I went to a dollar store and found packs of unopened 10 year old baseball cards, and bought a few just for kicks. Inside the 10 year old pack of baseball cards was a 10 year old, petrified piece of gum that used to come in baseball cards back in the day. Damn right I chewed it. 🤣
  5. Without a doubt this current team is better built for sustained success than it has ever been since returning in 1999. It isn't even close. I mean, Baker Mayfield and Myles Garrett vs Tim Couch and Courtney Brown... 😁
  6. Similar to Catholics who refuse to listen to any Michael Jackson songs anymore?
  7. As usual on here, this has become a black or white reaction to OBJ becoming a Brown. I look at it like this: He's a top 5 WR in the NFL who has been injury-prone the last two seasons and can be a major league pain in the ass. Sometimes, boys, it can be both ways.
  8. A little over 14 months ago the Browns completed an 0-16 season. John Dorsey ain't fucking around.
  9. For the record, I'm not angry about the signing of Hunt. I'm just not able to be happy about it. It is what it is, I guess.

  11. And if you know anything about his family history... this could be the absolute WORST thing for Hunt.
  12. I guess this board is going to stop pretending it cares about women with our collective holier than thou treatment of the Steelers regarding the continued employment of Ben Roethlisberger, right? I mean, we can finally put that to bed.
  13. Thanks to everyone who played along, we'll post another one of these just prior to the 2019 season opener!
  14. 14. What two teams are in the Super Bowl? Who wins? Zombo: Atlanta over LA Chargers jcam222: Minnesota over New England Tour2ma: LA Rams over Jacksonville Nero: New Orleans over LA Chargers Coyote: New England over LA Rams mjp: Green Bay over Houston Bob806: New England over Minnesota FlyinJ: Minnesota over New England Flugel: LA Rams over Jacksonville gumby: New England over Minnesota Dutch Oven: Atlanta over Pittsburgh JDailey: Philadelphia over New England Answer: The New England Patriots beat the Los Angeles Rams 13-3 for their sixth Super Bowl victory in franchise history. Winner Winner Chicken Dinner: I understand why the Patriots are hated, I totally get it. But there's something impressive watching a team do what it has for as long as it has, especially considering how few players will end up in the Hall of Fame from this run. (In relation to other dynasties in NFL history) Three posters correctly chose New England winning the Super Bowl, but only Coyote nailed the exact result of them defeating the Rams. And the Big Dummy Award goes to... Only one guy chose two teams who didn't even make the playoffs, and that dummy was me - Dutch Oven.
  15. At the time I wouldn't had thought there was 8 people on the entire board who thought Hue would be the head coach for the upcoming season. So it was somewhat shocking to see 2/3rds of the predictors think that.
  16. 13. Will Hue Jackson be the head coach of the Browns at this time next year? (At the end of training camp 2019) If not, what date does he get fired? Zombo: Yes jcam222: Yes Tour2ma: Yes Nero: No, 12/30/18 Coyote: Yes mjp: Yes Bob806: Yes FlyinJ: Yes Flugel: Yes gumby: No, bye week Dutch Oven: No, 12/30/18 JDailey: No, 11/12/18 Answer: The Hue Jackson Era ended on 10/29/18, fired after the Steelers game, which is damn near tradition at this point. Winner Winner Chicken Dinner: I have to admit, the answers to this blew me away even at the time. The overwhelming optimism that Hue was going to make it through the season and would be the head coach going into the 2019 season was surprising considering the overall sentiment on this board. Jdailey and gumby were within two weeks for the win. And the Big Dummy Award goes to... I suppose it goes to everyone who thought Hue would see the fourth season as Browns head coach.
  17. I've been doing these for a dozen or so years (dating back to the board mjp, Coyote and JDailey came from) and every once in a while there's no chicken dinner awarded or the big dummy named. The "Big Dummy Award" is a joke from the old board. There was a poster on it - VTBrowns - who was unintentionally the funniest mothertrucker I've ever known. He'd get on these rants and then get made fun of so hard he'd quit the board for months, only to return and the same hilarity would ensue. He was yelling at someone one day and started calling them "big dummy", which caused us to imagine him as Fred Sanford. He called us the "bitch click"... He wasn't the strongest speller either. God I miss VT... 😂
  18. I know I'd love to hear you call my mother a whore to my face. We Italian guys are well-known to really, really appreciate that, and we express our appreciation constantly so you would get the hang of it.
  19. One of these days he's going to be real excited to come to the States and meet people on this board for a Browns game. He better hope something was lost in translation.
  20. 12. How many sacks does Myles Garrett get? Zombo: 17 jcam222: 10.5 Tour2ma: 15.5 Nero: 12 Coyote: 15 mjp: 17.5 Bob806: 17 FlyinJ: 13 Flugel: 13 gumby: 14.5 DutchOven: 10.5 JDailey: 11 Answer: Myles Garrett had 13.5 sacks in 2018. Winner Winner Chicken Dinner: Very good things were predicted by us for young Garrett this season, and he didn't disappoint. Garrett is firmly the #2 guy on the Browns, someone to build the defense around. FlyinJ and Flugel share this tasty victory. And the Big Dummy Award goes to... Honestly no one's prediction was that far off in either direction, so no big dummy!
  21. I know Nero didn't just refer to my mother as a whore, right?
  22. As an Italian, I consider it a great stereotype! 😁 You have done asi asi.
  23. 11. Who leads the Browns in receiving yards? How many? Zombo: Gordon, 1333 jcam222: Gordon, 1400 Tour2ma: Landy, 1167 Nero: Landry, 950 Coyote: Gordon, 1120 mjp: Landry, 1234 Bob806: Landry, 1074 FlyinJ: Gordon, 1005 Flugel: Landry, 1100 gumby: Landry, 1080 DutchOven: Landry, 850 JDailey: Gordon, 950 Answer: Jarvis Landry lead the Browns with 976 receiving yards. Other notables: David Njoku (639), Antonio Callaway (586), Rashard Higgins (572), Duke Johnson (429). Winner Winner Chicken Dinner: Oh boy, I knew this could end up being an interesting question to revisit the moment I wrote it, and it didn't disappoint. Josh Gordon ended up playing one game for the Browns before being traded, after another weird "Was he high?" moment finally (FINALLY) had the Browns say enough is enough. One reception for 17 yards and a touchdown for the season for Gordon. The winner is everyone's favorite olive-skinned foreigner, Nero. And the Big Dummy Award goes to... With a prediction 1383 yards north of Josh Gordon's 17 yards, jcam222.
  24. 10. Who leads the Browns in receptions? How many? Zombo: Landry, 100 jcam222: Landry, 90 Tour2ma: Landry, 98 Nero: Landry, 95 Coyote: Landry, 101 mjp: Landry, 109 Bob806: Njoku, 77 FlyinJ: Landry, 95 Flugel: Landry, 105 gumby: Johnson, 87 DutchOven: Landry, 82 JDailey: Njoku, 68 Answer: Jarvis Landry led the Browns in receptions with 81. Other top receivers were David Njoku (56), Duke Johnson (47), Antonio Callaway (43) and Rashard Higgins (39). Winner Winner Chicken Dinner: Jarvis Landry was the overwhelming favorite, even if he had fewer receptions than most expected. That might not be the worst thing in the world, considering Mayfield's ability to spread the ball around. DutchOven almost nailed it. And the Big Dummy Award goes to... I like the balls of taking someone besides Landry, but gumby's Duke Johnson prediction was nearly twice as high as what he delivered.
