  1. I don't get in here as often as I once did. Came in to share the win, and see this. Horrible. Stan was as nice a guy as you could ever want to meet. We bonded over baseball as both he and I coached the game. I remember attending functions where he and his league were raising money. All the tailgates. He and his wife driving me to a Cavs game that Ed hosted. Got to see him at 1 game last year. He was at the Flatiron and we talked for 30 minutes. Just a chance meeting, but one I will remember forever. Sometimes life really sucks, and this is one of those moments. My prayers and thoughts are with Kathy and his family. Wow. Sad indeed.
  2. As far as a sunrise or sunset, they are all pretty much the same.....be it high on a mountain where you might see rise or set a hundered miles away or at sea level where the horizon might be 3 miles away....they are all the same....conditions dictate....the best I have seen all hand some cloud cover. It's a time, moment, and place thing.
  3. Great...the ticket is yours. If you are in town, I can bring it to you here. Otherwise, you know I am good to show, I'll just get it to you on Saturday or Sunday morning of the game week.

Let's do the muni....it will be easy if you stay at Howies hotel...I am picking them up, so you can come as well. We'll find free parking on the street, walk in for a hour or so, then...

  4. You can join us....I know a few folks down there. I can get you the ticket then, or if you feel better having it in hand, we can meet in Calhoun....that's a fair mid point. Grab some breakfast at the Cracker Barrel and shoot the shit.

  5. I have a ticket. I was going to call you. It's yours if you want it. Just say the word. Give me a fair price...I'll discount it some, you've been a good "customer".

I'll probably still stay in Berea this game, but I told Howie he had to walk the Muni lot at least once and planned on picking him and Gareth up early, parking, then walking the lot, then get ...

  6. If you plan on the opener and need a single seat, let me know. All I ask is be firm in your decision. Once somebody tells me they want the seat, I stop offering it.

  7. We won, but we didn't progress.

  8. Ed....don't include me in the food count for the opener.

A buddy who sits a few seats from me had one seat available, just as I. When we have that happen we team up and one of us tries to sell our pair, then we sit together.

He got his sold, so I will have to book out of your tailgate around 9:30 to head over to the Port Authority lot to meet up so everyone gets the...

  9. Told you it was a great place. Pat and I usually go up twice a year....once in the spring and once tucked somewhere in between browns and gator football games.
  10. Red dots/green dots can also be perceived as places that still have manufacturing and places that don't....I think Detroit has a green dot. You can't tell me that place is cleaned up....it just isn't polluting the way it was since everything is shut down..
  11. Yes, that's it....Breakfast at Brennens is a must on your next visit. I love Acme Oyster House...and do love Commanders palace....last time sat upstairs overlooking the courtyard. Just talking NO has me wanting to go again...but I am not the foodie I once was...down about 50 lbs in the last year and a half and hope to be down close to 20 by fall. On some of the ones I didn't change on the list, I have been to most you mention....I couldn't think of any better options or agreed in total...like the Savannah parks....I know they have parks all over the place....Clevelands Metro system is pretty nice as well....and the western town...there aren't that many to choose from. As for the Smokies....there are lots of hiking areas that don't require great endurance and are more hollow walking than vigorous mountain trails..trust me...I don't do that. As for Oxford....I could of...or in retrospect switched that with Blowing Rock...Blowing Rock is up in the Carolina mountains and Oxford is what you envision in old southern charm. Consider those a swap.
