The reports are not incorrect but they are misleading. Flacco was on practice squad and players automatically revert back to the practice squad after a game when called up. Just a rule thing, browns didn’t send him back down - he’ll be called up again or given a full time roster spot.

Wknr were saying it was just some sort of  roster mumbo jumbo. Hopefully the Jets don't want him too badly.

As @Dutch Oven also indicated. There should not even be a discussion.

I also think it is what the players want. Look at the reaction after that first drive. He is more than just accepted. The team loves to have him on board!

Well unless the reports are incorrect it doesn't matter now. I thought it was probably the best quarterback performance of the season but you can't win without at least a few more of your key pieces. One of them being Myles Garrett.

As far as DTR versus Flaco I guess we're officially rebuilding.🤔

Spending cut by themselves have zero chance of making a meaningful dent in the debt. GOP aren't allowed to raise taxes, so they have zero chance of doing anything about the debt.

Spending cuts stop a shut down the government at a very small cost thereby eliminating any false claims of impending disaster.

And kicking the debt ceiling can down the road certainly raises the threat of depression. And again both sides are pussies for not shutting down the government and/or cutting the budget by the few percent necessary.

Thanks.  Now I know that he's married.

Going back a few years, my Dr.'s secretary told me when I called, If this is a workman's comp situation you will have to go to a different Dr.

I've only ever worked a real job maybe four or five months out of my entire life but I did get hurt at work and the company sent me to their own doctor. Haha

You could do the GOP plan and just stop eating completely and be dead and a couple of months. But Cheeto's party doesn't care about the debt. He added 7.8 trillion to it and they were happy to sign the bills. Those tax cuts are going to cost trillions more. But hey a bunch of companies were able to do stock buy backs and executives got some big bonuses.

And executive salaries and bonuses are completely meaningless. Just a talking point for some fools who think Marx wason the right track.

Spending limits for voted in for a reason. There's absolutely no program that couldn't be trimmed by two or three percent. The rest is pretend hyperventilation.

I know how you feel. I'm just going by the numbers. Hey hopefully you guys can shut down the government, that may cool down the economy. Maybe...

The U.S. economy is doing even better than the government thought - CBS News

The increase in the third quarter primarily reflected increases in consumer spending and inventory investment.

Consumer spending, the lifeblood of the economy, rose at a 3.6% annual rate from July through September — still healthy but a downgrade from the previous estimate of 4%. Private investment surged at a 10.5% annual pace, including a 6.2% increase in housing investment, which defied higher mortgage rates.

The economy also received a lift from companies building inventories in anticipation of future sales, which added 1.4 percentage points to quarterly growth. Also driving the third quarter growth was an uptick in spending and investment by governments at all levels — federal, state and local.

The U.S. economy, the world's largest, has proved resilient even as the Federal Reserve has raised its benchmark interest rate 11 times since March 2022 to fight the worst bout of inflation in four decades. Those higher interest rates have significantly increased consumer and business borrowing costs. But they have also helped ease inflationary pressures: Consumer prices rose 3.2% last month from 12 months earlier, a marked improvement from the 9.1% year-over-year inflation recorded in June 2022.

"Given the positive economic backdrop, we believe the market will rally until the end of the year and we should have a good start to 2024 – the exact opposite of what many believed as recently as this summer," Chris Zaccarelli, Chief Investment Officer for Independent Advisor Alliance, said in an email.

They should shut down the government but they are pussies and won't. It's actually meaningless in the first place and far less dangerous that allowing wasteful spending to reach even more destructive  levels. But people are stupid and I guess they are fair game for the Democrats.

"You go to the doctor you weigh 220 lb. He says you really need to lose weight. You go back a year later you weigh 230 lb. He tells you how dangerous that is. You go back in another year you weigh 223 lb.

You are still gaining weight as opposed to the doctor's orders, just at a somewhat slower pace. So now you and Jared from Subway have only got that one thing in common. Nice work.

  7. Yes Liz we know what the dangers to the country, at least the military industrial complex, would be under trump.

Watson is the Porche 911 Turbo that Myles wrecked.

He is totaled too, except we are trying to restore him. Like badly wrecked cars, once patched up they are never the same.

Watson is a wreck physically and emotionally.

Jimmy should have known, that Pennsylvania Title should have been a salvage title in the first place.

(Yes I know but anybody that's ever bought a used cars in Northeast Ohio realizes if you want to get a clean looking title for a car that has been wrecked or in a flood you go to Pennsylvania)

Lol...well I get it. Watson is never going to be a beloved player here, or anywhere for that matter. We just hope he plays well (when available) and the Browns win. I honestly have no clue how workman's comp affects the cap, but I'm guessing it doesn't.....just legal mumble-jumble jargon. $230 million is still $230 million on the cap no matter who's paying.

Everything I've read is the Browns are stuck with that contract through 2026. The "guaranteed money" thing is the reason per the analysts. I'm not smart enough, or just too lazy to dig deeper into it, so I will believe the so-called gurus.

Damnit. Yesterday was another "oh no" chapter that we've all become too familiar with.

    Beat Jacksonville please!!!!!!

Beloved has nothing to do with it. There are some guys on this board who are 100% in his corner. And some who don't like him regardless of his contribution to the team success one way or the other.

He's not Bernie Kosar and he's not Michael Vick. So far he's a Lamborghini up on blocks in some Hillbillies front yard.

I know Greg Pruitt received Workman's Comp back in the day.

You may already know this, but the State of Ohio mandates employers pay into it. Claims are typically denied, bounce back to the employees health insurance, and it can be a very drawn out process to settle anything. Lots of red tape.

My guess is Watson has filed (or his lawyer on his behalf) and it's pending.

Well that will help offset the Haslam blunder. I wonder if there is a limit or if it counts against the cap? Also if it takes a bunch of the financial burden off the team I hope they keep the useless fucker on the IR for the next 3 years. Hahaha

  11. Settle a dispute:

Is Watson or any PUP player a recipient of worker's comp? Or do the Browns eat the salary?

  12. He absolutely does not know who not to trust. He knows competent and powerful people but those people aren't going to dance to his tune if they don't agree. That's what made them successful in the first place. He needs someone competent and successful but who are also on board with his vision. Unfortunately those who would cheer the first woman or person of color or whatever stupid criteria won't care if it's a republican. Just like women who were thrilled with the prospect of the first woman president, Hilary, or vice president Kamala didn't care how big a crook or how stupid she might be. So far:

I like Noem I like Tulsi gabbard I like Ramaswami I'm okay with Tim Scott not so much with Haley I think she gets silly with her anti-tick tock Etc hook. I like Ron DeSantis anti-woke agenda but don't know if they can work together. Rolling the dice Kennedy Jr Rand Raul?

Morals? Want to talk about the Ohio RNC endorsing a guy under 91 felony indictments?  Blow me pal.

Cry me a river, FY.  That is the God D***m flimsiest political excuse in the world and you know it--- the guy fabricated his resume , stole credit card #s from his donors, under federal criminal charges... So by the same token since DJT hasn't been convicted of anything YET everything is just peachy keen in MAGA land.

Funny the dems want Mendez kicked out, but the GQP brass  is sure sticking up for this slime ball- because they need his vote. yeah I looked at the Blowberts and Gaetz voting who love him. FWIW, my local congressman Mike Turner (R Dayton) just lost my vote sticking up for this pike of crap. So want to give me the over\under betting odds poor George will be spending time in the slammer?

Yeah we know he lost your vote because of the r after his name. Who is Mendez?

  14. I'm actually not sure who would be a good fit. There are plenty of people who I wouldn't mind seeing in the top role but the problem is anybody that's successful and competent is not going to want to act at the whim of DJT.  Same goes for any potential cabinet members
