Clevfan4life Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 anyone hear? Kind of got lost in all this talk about the game and then the Rice video. I'm ok with how Crowell and West performed, but I'm worried about two rooks taking the whole workload the entire year. I like Tate and West splitting the heavy lifting and Crowell coming in for spot work. Time to call Dion back?
D Bone Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 His status is dropped by all 3 of my fantasy teams. Good guy, but dude will get hurt walking to answer the door bell.
Clevfan4life Posted September 8, 2014 Author Report Posted September 8, 2014 lols...not quite the answer I was looking for but it'll do for now
darubes Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 Wow! Ben Tate hurt? Who could have seen that?
cambridgeho Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 Who picked up terrence west as a sleeper this year, This guy did. Hopefully he can get some TD's.
TopDawg31 Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 Who picked up terrence west as a sleeper this year, This guy did. Hopefully he can get some TD's. Crowell will get the TD's while West gets the yards.
D Bone Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 I think Crowell will get more carries as the year progresses. He is the most explosive back on our roster.
JAFBF Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 We've got Winston (?) as well on our PS, so we still have 3 RB's with Tate out. EDIT : Seems like Glenn Winston #41 is on the 53, not the PS (FB is on PS)
jcam222 Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 Lol I "coached" both my kid to draft West as a high upside RB2 or at least handcuff. Did I follow that advice, nope. Oh well I did pick up Crowell. Mack and Byner have returned.
Mudfly Posted September 9, 2014 Report Posted September 9, 2014 I think Crowell will get more carries as the year progresses. He is the most explosive back on our roster. Im with you.....I went back and watched his tape and WOW.....dude is lightening in a bottle! Funny story...I was watch a tape from one of Crowells games and the announers are talking about how great he is and then they mention another " small school" runner who could make it big is a guy named Terrance West..... a nice moment.....
CLEVELANDwantsPLAYOFFS Posted September 9, 2014 Report Posted September 9, 2014 West was fun to watch and I put the waiver in for him. I think he'll step up big if Tate is out for a bit
Tour2ma Posted September 9, 2014 Report Posted September 9, 2014 Crowell will get the TD's while West gets the yards. That does seem likely...
JAFBF Posted September 10, 2014 Report Posted September 10, 2014 Anthony DiMoro @AnthonyDiMoro 1h #Browns Ben Tate tweeted that his knee injury is "nothing that serious." #sportsrants Don't know if that means he'll play or not any time soon.
jcam222 Posted September 10, 2014 Report Posted September 10, 2014 A competitive player like Tate is going to do his best to trivialize the injury. He saw what West and Crowell did, he knows how fast an ass can hit the bench lol. It is the same reason players try to hide concussions etc.
Tour2ma Posted September 10, 2014 Report Posted September 10, 2014 This Twitter thing just may catch on... Thanks for posting...
gftChris Posted September 10, 2014 Report Posted September 10, 2014 https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/509670977928589313 2-4 weeks?
Osiris Posted September 10, 2014 Report Posted September 10, 2014 Guess I'll hold on to him on my fantasy team.
LondonBrown Posted September 10, 2014 Report Posted September 10, 2014 What about Cameron any news there yet?
tiamat63 Posted September 10, 2014 Report Posted September 10, 2014 What about Cameron any news there yet? Nothing yet. Wouldn't surprise me if he's held out a week as well. Then you get to drop Gordon and Cameron on the Ratbirds and watch them cry. That'd be fun.
hx214 Posted September 10, 2014 Report Posted September 10, 2014 Another article on yahoo on Tate's status. Doesn't really add much to the Twitter stuff though http://sports.yahoo.com/news/report-ben-tate-miss-few-123511307.html
hx214 Posted September 10, 2014 Report Posted September 10, 2014 So with Tate out for sure, does West get the bulk of the load or is it 50/50 with Crowell? Wonder if Winston will get a good look this weekend. Saw a few clips of him and he looks like he hits the hole with some speed too.
JAFBF Posted September 10, 2014 Report Posted September 10, 2014 Starting to sound like Tate may be out 2 - 4 weeks now : http://standingosports.com/main/2014/09/10/cleveland-browns-ben-tate-2-4-weeks-knee-injury/
gernthefish Posted September 10, 2014 Report Posted September 10, 2014 I think they'll start West, but Crowell should get lots of playtime.
hx214 Posted September 10, 2014 Report Posted September 10, 2014 Man, I would love to see another rushing game like last week out of West and Crowell.... It would be so nice to actually have a running game.
Clevfan4life Posted September 10, 2014 Author Report Posted September 10, 2014 why did we keep Winston instead of Dion btw?
hx214 Posted September 10, 2014 Report Posted September 10, 2014 If I had to guess I would say he was the same type of runner and body type as Tate and West. Big guy (6'2 220) seems to hit the hole hard from what I have seen. Maybe a better fit for the one cut running system they have now. Undrafted rookie too. Probably much cheaper to keep around.
Guest Posted September 10, 2014 Report Posted September 10, 2014 Crap. Those rookies can run. I hope they can block. Z
JAFBF Posted September 10, 2014 Report Posted September 10, 2014 why did we keep Winston instead of Dion btw? Wasn't there something about a Shanahan connection from Washington with Winston?
