THE BROWNS BOARD

Week 13: @ Bills

One thing Buffalo isn't, is a shit hole.

Yeah like every city there are sketchy sections, maybe where your friends live, but other than a little of that, it's an incredibly close and friendly city to visit or live in.

I live directly between Buffalo and Erie, pa. We are always going that way to shop or for dinner.

We love everything about the city.

BTW, what ever happened to the Flats area?

Manziel...

Never spent much time in Buffalo, but kinda like Rochester area... except for an ebay scammer> Had to go there to file wit the local PD, but also visited some audio internet buds and rode the Jack Rabbit.

Love Erie's Windamere Park.. the Ravine Flyer II is one of the true treasures I've ridden lately.

spent much time there? I've spent a 20 years in Ohio. I spent a great deal of time in Cleveland. Even dated a stripper named Ashley from Lorain/Cleveland a minute.

Not to mention that the Fins have been fairly dismal for a while now... but they are awake now.

Jets will wander in the wilderness a couple more years.

Better get on the stick Buffalo...

Speaking on NW Ohio... decades ago ate at a great restaurant in Huron, Ohio... I think... right on an estuary of the Lake... Want to say it was called The Twinehouse. Ring any bells?

yep. huron is the next city/town east of sandusky and ate at the twine house many times back in the day.

don't know if it's still there. i should though as that is where my daughter and her family live. you could drive through huron on route 6 or 2 and it'd literally take you 3 mins.

Even with the short pass game, something our average receiving corp has achieved is the highest yards per catch in the league.....

Not counting Josh Gordon, we have 3 of the top 5 receivers in the league, in terms of YPC.....3 OF THE TOP 5...A pretty amazing stat for such an average receiver corps and QB.....

Cameron 19.0 ypc

Gabriel 18.0 ypc

Benjamin 18.0 ypc

Note: Hawkins and Gordon aren't even on this list and they are our two best.....so, there's that

So, we dink, we dunk and then we gain!

I'd like to see the YAC totals there. YPC is a bit of a misnomer in stat analysis because the YPC can be 21 but 19 of that is YAC. Look at Forte or Sproles in NO.

This Donte Wiffner thing sounds like it's getting out of hand on the bills boards.

I hope those who come from Cleveland are prepared for some of the assholes we have in the stands.

It might not be a friendly place to come..unfortunately.

Dame people, let the players settle it..

What Bills Board are you referring to?? TwoBillsDrive doesn't have any outright muscle heads claiming they will start trouble.

No, it's more of a Rube Goldberg event: I punch the couch, which wakes up our hyperactive Lab, who knocks the beer of the coffee table, which spills on the cat, who runs under the TV table, tangles in the wires and causes the TV to shimmy to the floor. A 30-06 would be a lot quicker.

lol... well if a cat dies, then your long way has merit...

Exactly...

First, you can type "damn" here... it's OK.

Next... we're counting on you to keep your fellow fans in line. Tell them the most foul-mouthed, unwelcoming forum in the Universe has historically held Bills fans in high regard. Nothing but good reports from members who have visited "the Ralph".

My one and only visit to Cleveland Browns Stadium was when the Bills came to town in 2012. I was there wrapping up some family business and sat with a very cordial Bills group in the "upper Dog Pound"... which is not really the Pound, but whatever...

You won the game, but lost Spiller, IIRC... not that that is unusual...

Forget the name of the 50-ish gent I sat next too, but great guy with above average game knowledge. I do remember he worked in (maybe ran) a close in, VIP parking area at your stadium.

I would recommend parking in the stadium lot. If you try and save $10 and go in a private lot, you'll get stuck in the mud (even if you have 4 wheel drive or AWD). It's gonna be messy in the private grass lots. The stadium lots have gravel and you can still tailgate. But everyone will have the same idea, so get there early (7-8am). Just my two cents.

Tailgating is an idea I love, that hasn't made it over here yet. It may be because of the nature of the sport - football is more of an entertainment spectacle, that takes that much time that you basically have to find food at some point during or directly before/after; it may be simply because there aren't huge parking lots outside soccer stadia, so you don't have the atmosphere. But damn, it always looks like everyone's having so much fun.

With that said, you guys have hired and fired more coaches and front office personal...and owners... and ran more QBs in and out than anyone in the NFL. Was all of that due to your overwhelming success at NFL football, or consistent failure?

You guys are in no position to bring up recent wins as if you are a competition quality barometer, or a consistent playoff contender, and neither are we.

My point is that both of our teams have a way to go before we are in the elite group, agreed?

It's got nothing to do with a crush..... It's reality.

Until we match Tom Brady, we lose to Tom Brady.

Your division is as wide open as I have ever seen it, but to go to the big game, you'll have to match Tom Brady also.

Trust me, you guys aren't close if you are marching out Hoyer, Manziel, or whoever you have at the QB position.

More power to those who think the Browns are.

One things is clear ... Brady is in your head.

Teams from our division beat him all the time. Hell, even our raggedy Browns teams of recent years would be 2-0 against him if not for a lucky onsides kick last year.

But I wasn't talking about the Browns team ... I was comparing the fan reactions.

Browns Fans: "Fuck the Steelers, Fuck the Ravens, we're taking them down this year!"

Bills fan: "Oh, woe is me. Tomy Brady is still in our division, what are we to do? He's so good. No one can beat him. Not even the AFC North teams that have plowed over him to win three Super Bowls while Tom watched at home in his Uggs. He sure is handsome in those boots!"

I competed in many sports events there and spent time at different area venues. Cleveland and Buffalo area very much the same internally. Buffalo- Rochester is much different with many small villages along the way.

If you're going to the game and park in a public lot, watch your open consumption. They have cracked down on that. Walking around with an open beer will get you cited.

Says the guy who's team is routinely beat by the Bengals, Steelers and can barely squeak out a win against the Ravens.

Don't kid yourself. The Patriots are good and have gone to 3 straight AFC Championship games, before that the Jets did two straight, the Patriots have succeeded in the NFL just as much as any AFCN team in the last decade.

Both the Browns and the Bills have sucked in that same time span. In fact, the Browns have had 1 playoff win since 1989. Ah, 1989... Christ son, better check your calendar because that wasn't last week. Your one win was against the Pats in 94. Imagine that? But, your 2002 loss to the Steelers doesn't mean squat. A 9-7 team in the playoffs, ooooh boy.

You come across as some fan trying to pretend your team has been historically superior when in fact they haven't. I do recognize that the team had moved during that time for a little bit but you're still kidding yourself. Even if the Browns win this Saturday it is not going to change history. The fact is, for 25 years the Browns have been awful. The Bills have been awful for 15.

...and she told me her real name was not Destiny but it was Ashley. We dated for 3:47 seconds, the duration of Poison's talk dirty to me.

I wouldn't be surprised. Last I heard, about 3 years later she went from dancing at one of the better Cleveland establishments to a crappy one and on coke.

Bills 62 is hilarious. Dishing some insults right back. Class act. That's what the better fan does anyway right? Return insults right back at us, attempt to insult the entirety of the board, and act like a moderator. Man are we counting the minutes til your gone.

Is your rookie CB starting and, if so, do he match up against Watkins or Woods??

K'Waun Williams? Yes, you will see him Sunday. He's our nickel... and is so good that he is keeping our bonus baby off of the field. O'Neil gets absolutely giddy talking about K'Waun.

I know you guys are anxious to see your offensive weapons stack up against our CB's (If Gilmore doesn't play off the LOS by 15 yards he's rather effective and physical). Keep your eyes on Nikell Robey...he's a gamer for a lil' guy. But I'm excited to see how you guys match up with Watkins, Woods and Hogan. Should be fun watching both offenses.

Sigh, why do we always get the dumb ones?

AGAIN, Dicktits, here is what I said: "But I wasn't talking about the Browns team ... I was comparing the fan reactions."

Not talking about the teams, talking about the fans ... swallow that premise, and I will continue ....

OK, Good.

You guys are pussies about Brady and the Patriots. You act like they are so damn good that there is nothing you can do about it until Brady retires.

Here in Cleveland, we have been dominated by the Ravens and Steelers, who have been MORE successful franchises than the Patriots over the past ten years (Three Super Bowls > Zero Super Bowls), yet our attitude is "fuck them, we're going to run them down, we're going to get better and be the beast of the best division in football".

We don't want them to to fall apart. We don't want Roethlisberger to retire. We want to fucking take them down. It's an even playing field, and there is no reason why the Bills can't put together a football team that can beat the Patriots just like the Ravens and Steelers do, so quit being such pussies and blaming Tom Brady for your place in life and get a fucking sack.

Everyone is beatable. Bills fans sound like beaten housewives who have resigned themselves to their station in life, while Browns fans sound like Rocky Balboas never giving up the fight, not accepting their stature in the division, and believing, and expecting, that they can beat those teams while they are still at the top of their game.

Yes, your 6-10 teams have been better than our 4-12 teams ... but, you, the fans, are pussies.

"Succeeding in the NFL" means winning championships, Chachi.

Yes, every year, the Patriots win their pussy-ass division and have a great record and homefield advantange, and then they get beat by some gritty team that fought and scraped all season, like the Ravens, Steelers or Giants.

Quit being so impressed, and so afraid, of them, they are easily beaten, talent-wise the Bills have the best shot in the division of overtaking them, so quit crying because you have to date ugly chicks because Tom Brady took all the hot ones and go steal the hot ones, you homos.

Define "lil' guy"... K'waun is listed at 5'9 and 183...

I thought that was the case early on, but not sure now. Miami has gotten stronger as the year has progressed.

We just need to freaking break his legs at some point where we are in his head. It hasn't happened yet.

There was that one knee shot what now seems long ago... and up popped Cassel. How'd that work for you? Not only did the Pats still tie for 1st in the Division, but upped Cassel's trade value in the process.

The back and fourth insults, what purpose does it serve, other than to entertain ones self with useless stress?

I don't look back at our history, or any teams history. If an opposing fan spouts off with something like "Miami, and the only perfect season", or a Jets SB win back when Christ was still magic sperm, I let that shit go.

Today is about today.

This weekend will be a shot at staying in the playoff race for us, and winning a division for the Browns. LOTS on the line.

Refs could fuck one team or the other. A injury, a fumble.. who knows.

So, there really is no need to try and figure out who is better.

The teams seem very close. Home field is big here, and I see it as the reason one team wins and the other loses.

If this game were in Cleveland, I don't think we win.

Its in Buffalo, and the Browns will have to play their best game of the season to win.

hey it's friday and after watching some decent games yesterday (decent meaning the cowboys got their ass handed to them) i think we're all pumped up and yet still 2 days out.

yes it will be a good game and the browns will have to play a great game compared to their recent showings but they've played some great games already when they had the full regiment at hand. the injury fuckin bug came in and bit the shit out of the browns this year moreso than in recent memory. hopefully our young staff can make the necessary adjustments on the OL and D play to make it watchable.

who's even favored? i still like the browns even though i'm scared of that rush. i think the bills are all fluff on O and we'll rattle kyle depending on how much he's had to drink. hopefully not enough to calm the nerves. and that's not said trying to be an asshole. just one fan's opinion.

bitches. B)

Bill had it right. One can only imagine the pounds of gold that the Browns teams would have worn on their fingers if that dream team was allowed the time to flourish. It may have saved the Browns from ever moving

unfortunately the wheels had already begun turning and modell just made a clean cut with everyone and everything.

Tour2ma,

Cassel?

Superior coaching.. compared to the cheap shit Ralph liked to hire.

Ever look at our prior coaches? What a clusterfuck of WalMart grade retreads.

With that question's answer being Bill Bellichick, A better question is how did firing Bill Bellichick work for Cleveland? He sat Kosar down because Kosar was beloved in Cleveland, but was running out of skill. Bill had it right.

One can only imagine the pounds of gold that the Browns teams would have worn on their fingers if that dream team was allowed the time to flourish. It may have saved the Browns from ever moving, and saved your city from ever having to watch Modell get the hardware he didn't deserve.

FYI... Cleveland did not fire Belichick.

He finished the '95 season. The move was announced on Sept 6, 1995. Even after that he held the team together through our "denial" phase and started 3-1. Then the dam broke in a close loss to your Bills and the slide was long and painful.

Anytime Dallas gets embarrassed on the field is a GREAT day of football.

Almost as good as watching Peyton Manning getting hit in the neck.

Last I checked it was bills-3. Could change again before kickoff.

Agree on Dallas...

I think you're going to wish you had those 3 on your side come Sunday... Going to be good one.

what a sad pathetic little fuck you must be to get humor out of altering someones name.

LMAO... way to stick to your sensibilities, '62...
