THE BROWNS BOARD

The GOP establishment trying to force idiot candidates on America

You'd think they might want to actually win a Presidential Election for once?

Yes, the vast majority of Americans are unhappy with the direction our country is heading under Obama (myself included). But it's also clear the majority of Americans don't like ESTABLISHMENT GOP candidates. For example, an Establishment GOP candidate has only won the popular vote of a presidential election once out of the last seven (Bush V Kerry, and just barely at that). I want to vote republican, as i support their supposed stance on many social issues, but I wll not vote for a moron like Jeb "my children are mexican" Bush, Walker the worker hater, or old Geezer Hackabee.

If you listen to conservative talk radio, you hear constant praise for idiots and Koch puppets like Jeb Bush (lol), Scott "lower than average job creation" Walker, et.al.. To go along with the shilling of Establishment candidates, you also hear the constant lambasting of Donald Trump. The Hosts must have daily checks coming in from the Koch brothers because of the way they latch onto every piece of information that might hurt Trump's candidacy (it usually doesn't.)

I'm not a fan of Trump the person, Im a fan of what he represents: A real candidate with real opinions who is not afraid to stay true to himself regadles of the party line.

I'd vote for Trump, Kasich Fiorina, maybe Rubio.... absolutely will not vote for Bush, Walker, Christie orHuckabee. I just wont vote if any of these lame-brains win the nomination.

Come on GOP, give us someone worth voting for!!

(by the way, Ben Carson is popular among racists who want to try to pretend to no be racist by showing support for a black candidate....what has he ever done politically?)

Agree, except on Trump. He's a loudmouth attention glutton, loose cannon, and will

flip on any issue as soon as he can get more notoriety. He'll be alienating people every time

he has to be on stage. He's an ass. Huckabee - I get tired of listening to him. I don't trust him to

be who he acts like now, if he became president.

well, you stepped in it, there. What has trump ever done politically?

Read one of his books - then you will understand why so many people are supporting him already.

He is extremely impressive, and I admire him. I don't care what color he is, anymore than I care

what color Allen West is.

I was tempted to call the OP a white guilt apologist with obama regret who saw the light but its too late because now hes a useful idiot and feels a need to contribute?....

but that would be too harsh so ....

and he was only joking

Carson has no idea what he's doing...

Well you are correct in the sense that he's not a politician, a lawyer or a community organizer. He is, however, probably the smartest and best educated of any candidate on either side so far.

I'm guessing if he were also a left-wing idealogue you think he was brilliant.

No, I still wouldn't vote for him.

He was timid. He wasn't assertive. He constantly looked at his note cards...

... And he thinks the earth is fucking 6000 years old. That shows a serious lack of reasoning. Yes, he's a brilliant doctor, but I can't ignore legitimately believing in a Young Earth.

Whether is for or against gay marriage. For or against legal abortions. Whatever. I can't get past the 6000 year old earth thing.

Well if he were, Cal would hate him, and call him names

The difference is, I would very strongly bash his leftist/corrupt "stances"..

but I wouldn't believe in who he is and what he stands for.

See, I READ his book. And, as a neurosurgeon, if he were a liberal lefty, how the hell can

anybody claim he isn't brilliant, just because of his politics?

If a pig had wings, it would fly as hillary clinton.

Speaking of serious lack of reasoning..

I wish there was something I could get totally hung up on that had no effect on me (or anyone else in the history of the universe) that will in no way whatsoever affect that persons ability to lead, and make critical decisions as Executive of the United States - just so I could remind everyone on an Internet message board that I skipped Sunday school when I was a teenager.

Call it whatever you want, I'm not the only one here that has said this. If you can actively shun mountains of scientific evidence in favor of your own, evidence lacking beliefs, then who is to say that wont happen on other issues? Can you not see how this could be concerning on other issues?

Yeah I would prefer the reigns of the operation to be in the hands of someone who can look at the scientific evidence and at least see that the Earth is not 6,000 years old. If they can be willfully ignorant (Carson is not dumb at all so he has to want to believe this stuff) about information, I don't want them making major decisions. I don't have a beef with someone religious being in office so long as they don't make that the key factor in their decision making.

I think we should all agree that the worst GOP candidate is better than the two idiots that Democrats have on the table at the moment. If the GOP can't win the next one, and lose to Clinton or the self proclaimed socialist Sanders, this country is screwed to hell...

I'm actually inclined to agree. At this point, Hillary is winning by default because of no viable opposition within the party or from the opposition. She's done nothing to show she should be president apart from a string of soundbites and a term as secretary of state (?) where her achievements are, what, exactly? All the foreign affairs stuff has basically been headlined by Obama - like the deals or not, Cuba, Iran etc were his deal, she doesn't seem to have actually done much? The russia reset didn't exactly go well, did it?

When the field breaks down two three or four candidates it will be Donald Trump vs everyone. That is everyone who isn't a hardcore Trump supporter will be against him no matter who they are for. I'm not sure how many Democrats would support him but after hearing his views on tariffs on overseas goods which would be a great boost for the unions I would assume people like Bob might vote for him?

And even though he is an asshole I completely agree with his opinion on politically correct speech.

(And besides being an asshole he's absolutely no worse than any member of this board.)
