gftChris
ok when you said 60 year old guy flipping burgers... I must have read something to fast IDK. I was envisioning a 60yo going to college and flipping burgers. Ha! Yes, that would seem odd indeed.

I dunno unless there was a different definition for what a "year" was.... I would have to see proof of this given that our life expectancies have never been better. A lot of truth to that. I think we often pick the guy we don't like and then think up reasons that we don't like him. WSS

But we are most certainly living longer than we did in past generations. I'm not sure how this is debatable. People died of the flu, aged 12, a couple hundred years ago. Now we're able to treat these diseases and allow people to try to have a natural life. Though, they choose to spend it sitting down all day and eating shit, which has a limiting factor on life-span. All we have are writings that modern science dismisses as ancient fantasy writing. And I smell bullshit. In 10 years 1 in 4 children will be born with type 1 or 2 diabetes at the current rates. That is genetic decay no matter how you cut it. We're done. Science will have to start keeping us alive since the minute we're born. People will be organic robots not able to think for themselves, hell that's already happening. I have "zero" doubt anymore that 10's of thousands of years ago the human race was profoundly different. I just don't know the how's and why's. I guess that awaits me when I die.

Noah was a Sumerian legend. The people Plato spoke of likely lived 10's of thousands of years before him.

What they find instead are the people who died in their 30s-50s. So you were refuting science with Tooth Fairy stories.

So you were refuting science with Tooth Fairy stories. because those were the people that fell into tar or ice, some kind of preservative. In any case the time frame that we'd likely be talking precludes most archaeological evidence. Plus I also don't discount for one second that we've been kept from the true archaeological history. They find some 8-9 ft skeletons and say gah these were just a family of genetic freaks nothing to write home about. Discounting ancient stories of precisely such a race of giants. And not a whole lot of people call them on it. Face it we just don't give a shit. Didn't they just find some midgets a year or two ago that were perfectly proportional or something? And like just now they're starting to admit they might not be midgets but some offshoot of humans that lived along side us and the Neanderthals? Yeah weren't those hobbits cunts written about too? I will continue to enjoy modern medicine and not lament that I couldn't have lived in a time where you croaked at 20 because you broke a toe. you're right in terms of modern man. Our history starts about 10-12k years ago. I just think there was something before that time. And there's ancient texts that talk about that time. It gets written off as fantasy but then you read about what some modern humans were capable of say just a few thousand years ago....and they were drawing on that "pre knowledge". They still haven't figured out how some of these old civilizations, but still in our time, were able to figure things out that we were only able to prove through modern equipment. There's a lot of shit that scientists themselves know that they just shrug their shoulders and say "we have no idea how those people were capable of that". And it just gets left at that. Now does this mean skip the next hospital visit when it's necessary? No of course not, modern man has been laid down.....it is what is is now. Manzier
Here are some facts. The USA is nowhere near the top(anymore) when it comes to life expectancy. We are currently ranked 36th in the world. And we are falling further and further behind. The most interesting part is that most of the top healthiest and longest living nations use single payer "socialist" medicine. Japan, Canada, Spain, Switzerland and Italy to name a few. But, why would we want that communist bullshit here, when we have the bribed and industry controlled FDA looking out for our better interest. Attack this post if you must(and I know you will). But everything here is fact fact fact. Just dont suffocate while your head is in the sand, because our health system will just let you die, after sucking every last penny from your family. They aren't strung out for decades on modern medicine. The medicine is the same, maybe prescribed less frequently, but it's the lifestyle and the food, generally the concept of moderation when eating. Very unamerican stuff, of course - for you guys bigger is better without exception.

bbedward
for you guys bigger is better without exception. Not fair to say. There's plenty of exceptions - like new york, colorado, california, and other parts of the west/new england. Here in the midwest (including Ohio) and the south we're just a bunch of fatasses. And the life expectancy of the EU and the US is all in the same ball park. Saying the US is #34 and the UK is #19 is kinda misleading given the fact that they're only 2 years apart. Health insurance is a bigger problem - people don't go to the doctor because they don't want to pay. We also chock our food full of preservatives and a bunch of other shit which I imagine can't be too good.
