My guess is they cut him a day early to give him a slightly better chance to latch on to another team.

While every team is throwing dust with cuts & additions..Dorsey releases a smoke screen yesterday, just in time for Bro'bie to clear waivers today at 4pm. Dors should put him on PS with his 1st dips on the wire..we shall see..that kid has a "late" lively gun..late can be fixed with PS reps. It's just catching up to this game speed..

So wait, are you saying they released him a day early to keep him instead of giving him a head start to latch onto another team? Maybe l’m not sure how the waiver process works. Does a team have 24 hours to claim a cut player?

released players under 2 years vested can't be touched for 24 hours. Than they fall into the waiver wire system where we have 1st dips..Players vested 2 years or more can choose where to go with no wire..

After all of this time we're getting close to the real 53.

Close..so I missed projecting 4 on both sides of the ball--Dayes,Janis,Drango,Harrison(PS)//Brantley,Orch,Currie,Jordan..OL/LB still may see some bodies? Not safe imo are Grace/Charlse/Willies/maybe Burgess and one of CB-Rice or McKinnon ..Maybe we get 3 or 4 more moves out of dumpster diving..stay tuned

Appears Bito is out backup LT... not unprecedented.

Can't see Peppers holding off Callaway for long for return duties.

I see Wilson listed as a reserve... I thought he was cut very early in camp.

00 Anthony Zettel will wear jersey #97.Sits behind Ogbah which could be out with sprain ankle. But #28 EJ Gaines could be a huge return at CB this week, with Brees who has been back to practicing this week🤞

Who was let go to make room for Zettel?

C Aaron Neary was released after sitting 1 day in Wylies Zoologist OL class..Clearly worked for Neary, now back with Rams

OK,    so I caught a bit of the show with Jim Donovan,  Grossi, and Dieken last night, and they were saying something about now not having a snapper behind Tretter.   (but I did not catch the early part of the conversation).  Now I know what they are talking about.

So, who is now the backup OC?   The depth chart shows no one.   I guess it would have to be either Watford or Corbett, the current backup OGs. Don't know if they have been snappers ever.

Or, what about this:   would they play Hughlett, the long snapper at OC on offense?

I personally think that a long snapper, while valuable, should not just be specific to the special teams.   I mean, they should, in a pinch, be able to come in and play the line.  Shouldn't they?

watched redzone also..they left out,Corbett took on snaps as a center in Senior Bowl. Watford has played center also, both can swing at G's..Robinson plays both swing tackles..mid talents at position for now. Building blocks will get toyed with before it's baker's time..Edit-sorry but charlie hughlett would get his doors blown off playing Center at 251lbs against a NT....

Watford is the assumed backup center since Corbett was inactive last week.

Putting the long snapper on the offensive line is a bad, bad idea. One of those bad ideas they use for commercials.

Take it for what it's worth - probably not much, but one of my buddies is a Chargers fan and is pretty high on this kid.... He said he looked really good in pre-season:

thought burgess returned Z but maybe not? At 230lbs. my hope is the kid can run on ST. Once again like Dayes, Amos is using RB N.Chubb on ST that missed his assignment that lead to another punt block.Chubb/Dayes returned but never defended on ST in school. I guess i just hate RB's on ST's to practise pass block on ST. Your guys right d-bone.his numbers preseason look promising..
