Build the offensive line, giving Hunt big money is foolhardy....how many winning teams pay big money to a running back

We don't know.  Why don't you do the research on that and come back to us with the results.

(but just off the top of my head....didn't the SB winning Seattle Seahawks have Marshawn Lynch as their top paid performer?

Does having seen Jim Brown live spoil you towards a Kareem Hunt.  Today's prototype.  Lot better receiver then Jim.  Stiff-arm.  Maybe best inside out back in decades.

PoG thinks your obsession towards Hunt is creepy, and he had 30 pages on drafting Saquon Barkely.

JB was actually a pretty damn good receiver.  Back in those days teams just did not throw to their RBs hardly ever.  The exception was like Lenny Moore.

See my recent thread On This Date in History.....in which there are highlights of the Browns 1964 Championship game.  It shows JB making a couple of pretty nice catches.

On his stats all 12 and 14 game seasons. He had two good receiving seasons in 1961 & 1962.

I initially didn't think so, but you are correct.  Browns slap a first round tender on him = no brainer. Or will the Browns value him so highly they'd be willing to negotiate a long term deal ahead of time?

Not with his history and not with a top 5 RB already here. Chubb deserves a long term deal before Hunt does.

Agree...

And the tender should be a 2nd round level. No one is going to give up a 1st for Hunt... but for the price of a 2nd he should have a suitor or two.

Maybe, he still seems like one dumb move away, this dude get's big $? Even medium $?

There is that, but that'll be addressed in the size of the guaranteed money. Any salary risk is mitigated by the League's Personal Conduct Policy clauses.

Most consider Jim Brown to be the best football player...... EVER

He was the best RB from 1957 - 1965 for sure and led the league in rushing 8 of 9 the only year he didn't win it he had 47 rec for 517 yards,....not bad.

Best ever, I'd say so.  Now Chubb and Hunt are great together as long as you can keep them together -plus- they will eat into each other's numbers.....the measure for RBs.

What up, Dutch.  I'm not supposed to be here today. Name a more complete offensive player than Hunt on the team.

I'll give you credit for the Clerks reference, but it does seem odd that you only seem to post about one thing, and that is Kareem Hunt.

I mean, he's a hellluva good player, but if there's going to be big money given to a RB from the Browns, its going to be Nick Chubb.

His (Hunt) numbers might be good even great but there is one more big element in judging a player before handing out a big contract character.

Chubb has that in spades over Hunt.  Plus there are other team considerations payroll and others before they sign a new contract.

Hunt is a more complete back.  Team him with Chubb and dominate for a decade.  Please pay them both.

If he's a good boy and behaves and they can figure out how to pay them both adequately that would be great......but remember how the BROWNS got Hunt in the first place.

Together they would be awesome especially with an improved OL they will have to pay for.

While they're at it send me a check too.

Cap genius alert!

Teams can only afford to roster one feature back at a time. I cast my lot with Chubb because he's the better, stronger runner who can also catch traditional RB routes more than well enough.

Hunt is the better receiving back, but I can find receiving backs for 3rd downs in every draft.

Just my $0.02...
