"Pickett has a 106.9 rating against the blitz without an interception"

But his passer rating against zone defenses is 63.3 compared to 80.5 against man."

I swear to Christ, you saying "bring the house" is in every single game thread at least half dozen times a week.

Because our soft zone… rush 3 or 4 guys has worked….like…..Never.

And We draft some dogs at corner who can man up.

Let’s keep making rookies and journeyman QBs look good and give them time to process and make plays

Let me try this one more time.

- Of the top 5 defensive pressure rates, 5 or more people... 3 of those teams are in the bottom 12 in Net YPA throw given up.

- Of those top 5 defensive pressure rates, 4 of those teams are in the bottom 15 in "explosive" passing plays given up.

You want the Browns to man up and zero blitz seemingly every down.  The problems with that is ...

- You clean up reads for QB's

- Clean reads means LESS to process

- These rookies QB's have been running complex passing schemes since high school.  This isn't the 90's anymore man.   You're not getting Brett Farve drafted coming from a team running some form of flexbone drafted in the top 50.

You constantly use your anecdotal viewings and believing that is what is always happening, ignoring volumes of stats and data on what is really happening. This circles back around to a greater weakness that plagues this team that goes both beyond, and involves problems with our pressures rates - failing to get hits and rushes on the QB commensurate with our pressure rates. Taking people out of coverage and not getting home is the Pats game in a nutshell.

This circles around back to our greatest structural weakness which handicaps this defenses abilities on the ground, and in the air - the IDL.

Week 18, and the thing I've been saying that has been the underlying disease with the team has not changed one bit.       You're constant "YOU GOTTA BLITZ RAAAAHHH" isn't based in fact when you see blitz rates across the NFL have dropped considerably the last 3 years.

I’m not asking for Zero blitzes.

Just Mix it up a bit Joe.  Get exotic.  Audition for your next job.

Damn, that was a helluva scramble and pass/catch, regardless of Njoku's toe coming out of bounds.

It really blows that a speedy/shifty WR like Jakeem Grant Sr missed playing with Watson's fire escape abilities

run the ball got ya there Stef

Nice Deshaun and Njoku. Chubb doing bus usual steamrolling on yhis drive.

Oh yes and coming in .....

• Chubb is 80 rushing yards away from surpassing Brown’s 1,527 yards in 1958 for third on the all-time list, and 97 yards would put Chubb at No. 2 on the list, surpassing Brown’s 1,544 yards in 1965.

• Amari Cooper can pass Mac Speedie (1,146 yards in 1947) for No. 5 on the franchise’s single-season list with 38 receiving yards on Sunday and move as high as No. 4 (Jarvis Landry with 1,174 in 2019) with 66 yards. If Cooper catches one touchdown pass he will have 10 on the season, placing him in a three-way tie at No. 6 with Paul Warfield (1969) and Gary Collins (1965).

• Finally, defensive end Myles Garrett is 1.5 sacks away from breaking his “official” team record of 16 sacks

 Audition for your next job.

So you want him to "audition" his defensive creativity for the sake of creativity, as opposed to executing a sound and straight forward game plan that would allow this defense to focus on securing a win?

This coming from the same guy that, just around week 3 or 4 was it, was quoting and liking posts that wanted this defense to 'play more fundamental' (for lack of a better phrase) and to simplify things.

"Maybe you simplify things especially in big situations….man on man on man."

Yeah, we're done here bubs.    Appreciate the conversation though.

edit: Make sure you hit it this with the laugh react to.  Have to feign amusement in the face of lacking explanation.
