I'm expecting Watson to look sharper and sharper as the season rolls on. I know it's now the kool fashion choice to not play your starting QB hardly at all during the pre-season, but DW really could've stood to have seen some meaningful reps.

If we are still talking about this in week 8, then Houston we may have a problem.

What a great day to sit in the rain for hours!! Total enjoyment and one of those games were the section stood for almost the whole game. My back and hip are reminding me of that today.  In an overall dominant Browns performance by most units  I felt Watson was pretty inconsistent for sure. Like you I hope it's mostly weather and rust. I would have thought grip issues would result in sailing throws vs the worm burners he there many of. Assuming those were weather the bigger concern I had is his field vision, it felt as though he was not seeing open receivers and / or was hitting the throw very late. I'm by far an armchair amateur so would enjoy others perspectives on that.

  2. Spectrums response to the issue is a whooping 7 day free trial to FUBU. May have been a good offer if it was free trial until the issue is resolved. Spectrum says they are determined to keep our costs down yet I am missing around 9 channels they used to pay for and now don't with no price decrease.  Both sides are just greedy. I am a hair away from cutting off the tv portion of my service and splitting YouTube TV with my brother who already has it.

The scenario he paints isn't one where he's trying to be draft earlier...because if that was his objective, he would have turned right back around and told the Browns he had intel KC was moving up ahead of Cleveland, so then if Cleveland wanted him, they'd need to be prepared to move up or stay ahead of KC.  He didn't do that.  His intent was to avoid being taken by Cleveland.

Why does this really matter and why the fuck are you here?

The NFL is probably  no IS the most filmed,  watched, scrutinized,  analyzed, reanalyzed professional sport out there.  Not one play or call is analyzed by the dozens of Monday morning quarterback shows out there.

Do you hear any big national news or other outlet talking about   "those Cleveland BROWNS sure were screwed by the referees for the  __ th time this season "?   Of course not because there are no big organized screw the BROWNS referee groups out there.  Do the Browns get missed calls against them, of course.  I imagine other fans of other teams say the same things.

But is sure makes good FORUM chit-chat,  especially after a or yet another loss.

Just thinking how many bad calls go against our opponents  ?  Hmmmmm..

......edit add,  NFL RIGGED....now that really sounds like political chit-chat.   😄

I don’t think there is a formal screw the Browns plot, that said I do believe there are refs on the take that protect lines by nudging scores. Sometimes discreetly and other times by just fabricating shit like they did today. I suppose it’s also possible  they are all just horrible at their jobs and don’t know the rules. All plays should be able to be challenged.

    Agree with most on Stef..

Stef needs to pass his play call card to Van Pelt.. but, who puts their HC'ing job on the line with someone else doing the only thing (he) thinks he knows?

Come to think of it 🤓

I've never seen him use a blue video tablet to coach anything..

btw, What's former HC/DC friend of Stef, Mike Zimmer doing? A swift kick in the as$ might be what this defense deserves..

100% agree he needs to relinquish playcalling and focus on running this under performing mess. He also needs to fire his friend Woods now.

Talent wise, this will be the 6th game.in a row that the Browns have/had a good chance of winning.

Discipline and our overall game management give me the heeboe jeebies.

If it is close, I think Beliclit has an edge over whoever is pulling ShitMyPantski's strings.

I think the Depo squad vs coaching staff is about to boil over. Lots of rumbling now leaking about coaches not getting to call shots on personnel and more.

  7. Coaching is the root of all that’s wrong with this team. Yea there are execution issues at times but the coaching is abysmal. I felt like leaving when Stefanski went on 4th with an outside run AFTER talking a time bout to change the the ridiculous play he ran. He should be forced to give up play-calling immediately. Woods is who he is, a coach who’s always led mediocre defenses. Fair to mention the DT’s are garbage and could have easily been upgraded with talent that is available. Adding a linebacker tonight after the game speaks volumes on ownership reaction to the rushing yards we gave up.

  8. I used to take the RTA but not high on my list these days to be crammed in like sardines. This is the first time I’m using my tix since COVID. Most have went to younger bullet proof family and friends. I think I may park down near stadium. Any recommendations? Plan on arriving around 11-113:30. Not looking to tailgate as I will have my grandson with me. Have any of you parked in the Purple Lot before? I can get a pricey pass for thst but not opposed to spending the cash if worth it.

He was throwing passes in the dirt for crissake!...

Sure he may have thrown a few in the dirt but the overall body of his work was solid. How about the option we dumped? 5 batted passes and 2 INT. Brissett looks like HOF material in comparison.

I think Stefanski is a solid play caller. He’s just hot and cold. Today his worst tendencies surfaced. He’s too aggressive early on, just take the points Kevin. And the Njoku fumble was a huge turnover.

He is not hot and cold, he is consistently bad making situational football decisions. He is far to likely to abandon things that work for a whim based on a successful king pass as well. He is not a good OC. He might be a decent head coach IF he gave up playcalling and acted like one.

  11. I don’t know what game some of you were watching but blaming Jacoby is just silly. He played very well as he has all along. This loss is all on poor play calls / situational football. That started with the first drive and the ridiculous red zone calls and got worse as time went on. We could have easily run the sneak (Brissett is 8/8) and has a new set of downs from like the one. Instead we pass and then decline to kick and field goal. How bout that reverse to Njoku?? I mean WTF. How about the last series when Chubb rode the pine despite averaging over 6 yards a carry? Kevin out smarts himself way too often.

  12. Game day food at my place yesterday. Chicken shawarma marinaded overnight, stacked on the Trompo King spit and smoked in the Lang with cherry wood. Shaved onto wraps with traditional accompaniments. Garlic spread, cucumber, tomato, pink pickles (pickled turnips), harissa tahini sauce and a little parsley. Made the sauce and pink pickles. Was different and people loved it. 6CB76AD9-625F-496B-BE4C-8E4B06920D08.thumb.jpeg.33ad46a69df7f69d65542728fe08f94e.jpeg0B90AD98-6329-44C4-950C-646DF8BB5BCF.thumb.jpeg.39e1bb88126b5a322f4f7b5d9fc1e232.jpegC41E5E7E-8B03-4681-B0B5-D04ABEEE3EDB.thumb.jpeg.f65db3b90e728a3d15685049d9daa94b.jpeg

Had to be done. We are only one game in, and I just love this kid to death. I also expect to feel the need to express that more often.

Game winner aside, did anyone else hear the commentary team say he put one of the kick-offs between the uprights? It was following one of our TDs, I think. The kid was literally practicing long field goals in-game. How friggin alpha can a kicker get?!

An elite kicker is so complementary to a defense and running-oriented team like the Browns too. If coach 'Fancy' Stefanski keeps his urges under control, especially on fourth down, Cade could be one of our leading scorers this year.

I think they actually said two of his kick offs split the uprights!

What most non-local media whiffs on? is not talking enough about the Panthers overall #2 ranked defense of last season..

The Panthers lead the league in net passing yards per game (173.7 yards), they're fourth in the league in third-down percentage allowed (33.1 percent) and tied for fourth in the league in sacks (27).

But they're still somewhat susceptible to teams who want to body them up and run the ball, the way the Cowboys and Vikings did. They rank 12th in the league in rushing yards allowed per game (107.0), numbers that got out of whack in a few games. The Cowboys ran for 245, the Vikings 198, and the Patriots 151. In half of their games, they've held opponents to fewer than 82 rushing yards, and under 50 three times.

DT Derrick Brown left the last preseason game with an oblique injury << good news if* he's limited.. the only major Panthers loss on a good defense from last season? Haason Reddick is now a Eagle

The Browns defense will need good LB/DB play Sunday with McCaffrey catching Baker's underneath dink passes..I'd almost prefer Woods shading a quicker Jacob Phillips/JOK combo to shade McCaffery over the slower lateral movements of A. Walker jr... I'd even bang Emerson into McCaffery if he splits outside.. Our Safety group better come ready to swarm tackle

Agreed..He does not look ready for the outside corner bend that 95 brings.. call the holds zebras..

Hopefully Baker throws those his typical 100mph lol
