I feel like the "happy medium" is for the NFL to add a fine that the two sides can agree to on top of the 6 games. This should please the majority of the folks who thought the penalty was not enough. We have to understand that a certain number of the folks are simply never going to be happy regardless of the severity of the penalty short of a lifetime ban and that's not happening. I honestly was surprised Sue Robinson offered no fine and truly wonder if that was back channel discussion with the league to give them a fine as an out.

Overall I think we agree what is going on with the outcry in the Watson situation. Our disagreement lies in the word woke and I can respect you don’t like or agree with the term or how I’ve applied it. I haven’t and won’t call you or others stupid because we disagree. I think it’s no less wrong to directly call someone stupid when their opinion differs than it is to call a broader group “woke”.

Your judging everyone using the term “woke” as stupid is hypocritical. There are plenty of folks on the left and some on the other side who embrace and own the term woke for themselves. That said perhaps it’s the wrong term to use here. My sister in law is a professional masseuse. She thinks this is all a sham. As she relayed to me any true professional would never have had a second appointment if they were so horrified by the first one. If someone asked her about a happy ending or rubbing his groin she’ would ask them to leave and never make another appointment. Every other legit pro would too.

100% agree. I believe the entire penalty structure needs to be changed to financial only. I say that when it’s “conduct detrimental” not for actual criminal convictions. Game suspensions penalize far to many innocents including teammates and fans. Secondly the definition needs to be far less subjective and the entire process needs to be independent of the league office.

The entire independent arbitrator process is a sham. It’s purpose is completely circumvented when Goodell owns the final decision on appeal. Why the NFLPA signed off on it is beyond me. Aside from the fact he’s an ahole the woke mob pressure and tar and feather outrage crew is making this far worse. In my opinion Sue Robinson left him and out when she didn’t impose a fine. He can impose a stuff fine with no further games and look like the “good guy”. From a Browns management standpoint I think they grossly underestimated the woke mob impact when they signed him.

At this point I think I’d love either Burks or London. Big bodies guys who can catch. Perhaps in the 3rd I would look for a smaller speedy receiver.

I draft a 2nd round QB and keep healed up Baker and have a real competition. Secondly I invest heavily in receivers who can separate and CATCH. This would be top priority in the draft and free agency. I dump Hooper , keep Chief and Bryant and add another developmental move TE. Do this and give Stef the keys to the car and O one more year.

We are going to have to relentless , resilient and score a ton because the refs are going to job us all day long. I firmly believe they will get the benefit of the doubt on everything as Ben’s last game at Heinz.

I’m convinced Stefanski isn’t making the final call to stick with Baker in these games. I believe post game he called the decisions an organizational one. He’s the kind of guy that would say it was his if it was.

Closer to a Chubb and O line win while the others came along for the free ride. The gameplan, play calling and insistence to play an injured compromised QB is baffling.

I think at this point there is more hope in developing effective treatments for those who are hospitalized. Big progress if they can prevent the cytokine storm that kills many.

Polio, measles, chicken pox etc, folks appreciated the vaccines. There were no protests and tin foil hat theories. Even the pro Steelers announcers were appalled by the TD that was reversed on the phantom penalty. Sure there are bad calls against all teams occasionally but last night that call and several no calls for roughing on Fields we insane. Then there’s the hip check ref.

Seems to me a given that OBJ has said plenty internally. No chance they send him hime based solely on his Dads comments. My guess is he’s been bitching lately and when the followed up on his Dads comments he confirmed them. I’ll never understand why but this team is far better when he’s not on the field.
