Just for the record I'm not really responding to you but the guys that have embarked on the Jihad against Mayfield because they don't like Cal.

It's not a Jihad against Mayfield. Some of us just don't think he is a top 10 take you to the Superbowl kind of QB and get tired of cal blowing nothing but smoke about him on a Browns Board while using his moral standards to discuss the guy (now guys) who are Browns QBs. Wouldn't bother me if he applied the same standards of conduct over on the poliboard as he now does to them.

edit:  @TexasAg1969  You once mentioned some draft publication having Edgerrin Cooper as the 1st LB taken.  I'd like to have a word about that, because two full games in and I ain't seeing what they're saying - which is basically that he's a day 1 starter.   I see a great downhill, straight line speed and a decent motor.   But that's about it.  At what game in the season am I supposed to be impressed? Because I'd like to watch that and get a better feel.

I think this one is a pretty fair overall look at him as a draft pick which is why I think he may still be there for round 3 if we fill a different area round 2. He's teachable and his overall combine score ranked him 1st among LBs. The thing no one seems to take into account is team leadership, something he has that I think will eventually translate well past being a rookie.

    This is pure comedy gold.

I'll never tire of Cal playing the victim and Steve being his shining knight in frilly shirts and coming riding to his rescue.

    Oh, that won't happen.................................................LOLOLOLOL!         ^

Well take it up with Cal. I don't know what else to tell you

    WSS

The problem is like Mike said in that cal keeps giving Mayfield reports on here (see above once again)  that have nothing to do with the Cleveland Browns anymore, which is why I put up a TB site he can go visit instead of the same old Watson bad - Mayfield pure horsepucky.

    yep.

I love the new wr signing. I can't wait for DTR to take the Browns to the playoffs !

With TWO explosive deep threats - EXCELLENT (when DTR takes over)

Too bad your obvious disdain for a QBs' sexual problems don't seem to extend to your politician.

I can't be that harsh with Baker.  He isn't living off the coattails of Evans, Johnny clearly did.   However Mike makes Bakers life a bit easier and, by no coincidence, the mistakes that plague him, a lot more minimized.    Mikey is a HoFer in my mind, just a high ceiling and consistent performer his entire career.

Manziel competed 27% of his passes to Mike Evans, slightly above one quarter. So he did not clearly live off Evans' coattails.

EDIT: Now let's go back to Heisman winner John Huarte of Notre Dame in 1964. He completed 114 passes, 60 of which were to Jack Snow. Now maybe there you could argue that Snow carried him on his coattails to the Heisman, because Huarte did not run for even 8 yards that season, whereas JM ran for 1410 his Heisman season, none of which he was seen riding any coattails.😁

There's a reason it's called a 'language', my guy.  Because that's what it is.  You learn either by studying or immersion.

Why do I get the feeling tia is about to take Korsou Dog down to the River Jordan and baptize him (in football knowledge) the old fashion way. 😁

Another reason I like to drink it is because Bud Light pisses off paranoid, nervous wrecks like Cal (who's pretending he's not reading this 😁).

Cal prefers cucumber juice while he gets a little alcohol rubdown.😁

Sam Smiths is brewed in Tadcaster 10 miles from my house, not a bad town for a slurp or two with some nice pubs.

If I'd known it was that close I'd have paid a visit when we went to York a couple of years ago. I love that beer. I discovered the Mexican beer Modelo Negra on a driving trip from Texas through much of Mexico about 30 years back (think before drug cartels). Could not get it here until about a decade or so later. BTW the pyramids in Teotihuacan are well worth the visit.

I can get this here too.  Sounds very good to me since I like high malt, low IPA.

    Size 4-15 oz cans

28915157205022.pngScotland- Stout- 4.2% ABV. Fresh roasted aroma with a hint of coffee from roasted barley. The addition of Chocolate malt adds a dark chocolate complexity. Clean, low levels of bitterness allows the key roasted and chocolate flavors to come to the forefront of this Scottish Stout.

    Belhaven Black

PS-I really like Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout and from Mexico Modelo Negra

Very familiar with that one as it's sold all over Scotland and some times turns up in York as a guest ale. Will no doubt be sampling a few more when I go to Edinburgh in April.

Were you a paratrooper in the Army?

No. I had a jumpmasters license for sport jumping before I went into the service. Shoulder injury precluded being able to pass the physical for airborne school even though I was teaching new jumpers how to skydive. Ironic don't ya think.🙃 I did go sport jump at the Special Forces sport jump zone on Ft Bragg though. My silver wings were skydivers' silver wings, so I was not a fighting soldier from the sky. Besides I did not intend to "jump and die". I preferred to come back home.🤫🪂

His doctor didn't clear him to jump out of air planes though - did he?

Only if he does a tandem with my expert skydiving daughter who can land on one foot without so much as rolling on the ground. Today's parachutes 🪂are more like gliders that can stop on a dime. Totally different from the ones I used which I now refer to as crash and burn chutes.😱☄️
