  1. I hope to get two Pro-Bowl caliber seasons out of OBJ, before he pulls the stunts that got him run from the Giants. It's going to be interesting to see all those on here who are so behind him now when it inevitably goes bad later. So I'll take two really good seasons from him... anything beyond that is gravy.
  2. Warriors are fortunate that the Cavs ran out of gas with about 7 healthy players in 2015, the same way the Cubs are lucky that the Indians ran out of gas in the 2016 World Series with roughly 2 healthy starting pitchers.
  3. I like Joe Thomas as much as the next guy, but the dude has a lot of bad takes.
  4. I'd like to see Duke get traded, since he's pretty much wasted on this team and we don't need the distraction.
  5. It's not exactly a strong overall unit. Not weak, but I wouldn't consider it a strength. I still feel optimistic about Njoku, he played much better as the season went on.
  6. Speaking of Skynyrd, anyone see the new documentary "If I Leave Here Tomorrow" about them? Been on Showtime, it's really good.
  7. Definitely easier to pass now than it probably ever has been... plus players are in much better shape because of advanced knowledge on fitness, strength, diet, etc...
  8. I think an argument could easily be made that no "dynasty" QB has had less talent on offense around him as Tom Brady. The Patriots aren't likable, but what they've done is wicked impressive. We may never see anything like this again, or for a long time.
  9. They also had the greatest coach in football history, which didn't hurt.
  10. About 10 or so years later we had one rip through Newton Falls and Niles. Pretty horrific.
  11. You make an interesting point jiggins, and many people who follow the Browns thought that Corbett was going to be the eventual replacement for Tretter at center, not Zeitler at guard.
  12. That's a pretty fair assessment. Hell, most people when asked who was the best NFL QB who played at Alabama would instinctively say "Namath" without considering Starr. I guess Starr wasn't flashy enough.
  13. Don't be so hard on yourself, buddy.
  14. Well that's a bit troubling...
  15. What's handy is that West Virginia jokes can be used for Steeler fan jokes rather easily, since the subject manner involves similar demographics. What's a family tree of a Steelers fan look like? A Xmas wreath. What's unique about a couple who are Steelers fans getting married? All the couple's family sits on the same side of the church. How do you know a Steelers fan invented the toothbrush? Because anyone else would have called it a 'teethbrush'.
  16. Oh, I see. To be honest the Browns forum is the only one I ever really bother to look at. You couldn't pay me to look at the political forum.
  17. I can only imagine the amount of stupidity that goes on over there. I'm sure geniuses like calfox and DieHard wallow in their ignorance over there with glee.
  18. Jesus, are you still butthurt one of your threads got locked months ago? Are you familiar with the movie 'Frozen'? There's a pretty popular song from it about letting go. 😁
  19. Hold up.... there's other people on here besides calfox that run and cry to the mods? That's quite the newsflash!
  20. Lake Community Library, Steve. Very interesting article.
  21. The "Trust me on this" story about Hue is the one, and I mean ONE time Hue Jackson actually stood up for someone and took the blows for their decision. Hue Jackson didn't want Kessler, Kessler being drafted as high as he was a total analytics Sashi move. Hue for once (probably because he had just taken the job) stood up for others. There's a boatload of reasons to hate the Hue Jackson era as head coach, but blaming him for Cody Kessler shouldn't be one of them.
