  1. As of right now, just as bad as results as PEDs. And now he's gonna be randomly tested for drugs the rest of his career, and he's shown he can't stay off the weed, so his career could be over.
  2. No link, too recent, it's being reported on all sports shows. 4-game suspension. And so it begins.
  3. I know, I know, I know: The outcomes of the games are meaningless. And a lot of the players you see will be selling insurance when the season begins. But I don't care. I still love it. I am looking forward to tonight and tomorrow. I love this time of year. AND, SOME players who ball in the preseason games DO end up being good. I remember watching Dak Prescott a few years ago and predicted he was going to be a decent QB. I love the NFL. And it's been a long 6 months. Celebration time, come on.
  4. To be fair, Duke only wanted out after he found out Browns were shopping him; he said if they don't want me, I don't want to be here. I think that's fair. Plus they signed Hunt. Those 2 events is why he wanted gone. He is pretty good and he won't make jack his next contract if he doesn't have some touches. I bet he does quite well in Houston.
  5. It's BS. F the league for pushing this.
  6. It's pretty much the going rate. Better to clean house than let a malcontent fester.
  7. I suspected Hue was phony, but after just 1 episode of Hard Knocks, I for sure knew he was. I just have no idea what their thinking was to bring Hue back after his 1-31 run. Not to mention, when he talked to Dorsey it was so apparent he was so full of hubris and ineptitude. Oh well, that's history.
  8. And you don't get ANY more fake and phony than Hue. It's depressing that Jimmy and John didn't realize it way earlier.
  9. Not paying him; his contract was ended, they just chose to not offer him a new one. He left that part out when interviewed about it.
  10. So, I can't force anyone not to look up these old players on the net, but I am curious how much how many of you know about these past Browns. I'm doing this off the top of my head. What do you recall about these past players? Kevin Mack Earnest Byner Bernie Kosar Michael Dean Perry Dixon Minnifield Webster Slaughter Eric Metcalf Mike Johnson Leroy Hoard Tommy Vardell Eric Turner Brian Brennan Tom Cousineau
  11. But he sure could spin whimsical tales and hilarious one-liners....that dude thought he was the real cat's meow. I didn't find him that funny. On Undisputed this AM they were asking if Freddie's open honesty was hurting the team. I thought him being a straight shooter was his main brand coming in?
  12. This vid addresses the topic.
  13. Now with more of the story coming out...Wylie was fired while laying in a hospital bed, his daughter told him she heard he was fired on the news, so he is definitely bitter and I don't put much stock from criticisms from bitter people. And he really was beyond old school. He seemed more interested in yucking it up than anything else - you know, the fat, jolly guy who likes his own jokes more than any one else does. I don't condone the way they let him go, but I can't put too much weight in his takes.
  14. Yea, seriously, it's not like it's in the same area code of a Johnny Manziel. If Bakes wins, he is gonna be a legend in the Land.
  15. That's what today's sport shows are calling Bakes after that video of him biting/chugging can of beer. The reference is to the movie "Smokey and the Bandit" and they are saying his actions are causing "smoke" to be all around the Browns. I don't think it's a big deal, but I do wonder what he was thinking. I mean, whatever, I guess. If he wins he can shotgun a beer every time he's on camera and no one will care.
  16. Nice straw man argument.
  17. I know. It's called "ratings." Listeners/viewers don't tune in to hear about x-miss presents. His agenda is to have ratings, and he keeps his job and gets paid more. Baker can prove him wrong by winning and acting decent. I think he's well on his way. And, by the way, I did not agree with Colin on how Baker treated Hue after the Cinci game; I didn't think Bakes did anything wrong, and could have been even a little more unfriendly and not been out of line. Hue was a phony jackass and didn't deserve any respect from Bakes. He was perfectly justified in dissing the fraud, Hue.
  18. That may be. But the whole crotch grabbing and all that, I'm just saying I understand he's not for everybody. But I can't wait to watch him play in 2019.
  19. DL is solid. CB very decent. LBs only mediocre. But why do I get the feeling the D will be better without Williams freaking out all the time?
  20. Ken did "all" the coaching? I kind of doubt that. Sounds like sour grapes to me.
  21. Say what you will to diss Colin, but he makes more correct predictions than any sports talking head I know of. He DOES try to stir the pot, but who doesn't in that business? You have to if you want to keep on the air and get paid. And I believe Baker will prove to be a very good QB, but let's not act like he is perfect. You can easily see how he rubs some the wrong way.
