  1. Thanks Flugel. I agree Schobert is underrated. But Wake, Evans, Brown and Landry ain't no jokes. TN gave up the 3rd least points per game in 2018. (18.9) Some of TN's rushing stats came from having a scrambling/running QB, but Henry did have a coming out party. I always thought he had a good size to speed ratio and he proved it last season. If he comes around that corner with a head of steam. you don't dare stick your arm out or he will break it off (or give you a pec tear). At CB, Ward is simply one of the best there is, not sure about Mitchell. But Ryan and Butler for TN? Ward is better than both. And I agree Chubb is legit.
  2. A few weeks ago, I felt most were making the mistake of overlooking the Titans, whether that be from fans, players or the media. Let us not forget that TN has had 3 winning seasons in a row. When was the Browns last winning season? 2007. When was the last time the Browns had a 3-year consecutive winning period? 1986-1989. Yes, it's been that long. But you say, that is irrelevant, it only matters which team is better now. You'd be correct, but a little historical trends are worth considering. So, the here and now, how they match up. Firstly, most important, QBs. Mariota. Although he threw for a career high 68% last year, his TD to int ratio was 11-8. That's paltry. Yea, he can run, he's athletic and all that. But I just don't think he's that good. He would have done more by now if he was. Baker. In just his rookie year, he showed he's already infinitely better than Mariota. 27 TDs to 14 ints. And he didn't even start the season (real genius, Hue). Bakes is clearly the better player. RB I thought Henry was out but he's not on the injury report. With him, TN has the edge, without, Browns do. WR No contest, Browns. TN has not been able to find any play makers at WR to save their lives. OL Even with their pro bowl LT out, TN is better here. TE - push DL - Browns, even though TN has some nice DLmen. LBs - TN CBs - push S - TN Coaching. TN. Hard to give nod to Cleveland here with a head coach who has never once coached as a HC ever in his career on any level. Vrabel will prove to be the real deal, having spent time in Pitt and NE. Summary - All things considered, Browns have Baker and TN has subpar QB, and missing their LT, Mariota is gonna be running for his life. I feel for those reasons, Browns do win this, maybe easily. 24-16
  3. Hilliard had a few nice runs last game. If he averaged 5.4 ypc in the regular season, would you take it? Dontrell Hilliard 12 65 5.4
  4. IDK, he looks nothing like the guy they drafted, for whatever reason.
  5. Anyone know what wrong with D'Onte Foreman? He was fairly highly regarded coming out of TX, now 2 teams have cut him. Work ethic? Soft? IDK. Pryor got cut, it appears his zenith was in da Land.
  6. Jim Rome is pimping the shit out of the Browns, calls them "America's Team." I guess it's all about vantage points. At least the Browns are being discussed, when you are talked about it won't all be sunshine up your ass stuff. It comes with the territory of being discussed.
  7. Ummm, unless something has changed, he used to hate on the Cowboys when he was on Skip's show. He's one of the only AM talking heads I won't listen to. I can't stand his yelling. SHUT UP, Smith.
  8. Haven't seen an improved OL yet. It may get there but right now it is worse, not better.
  9. This move was definitely a miss, without question. They traded Zeitler like he was easy to replace and assumed Corbett would fill his shoes. Not even close, and, as mentioned, it doesn't help that Hubbard was overrated. You can't have any part of your OL to be weak and succeed. Not the left, not the middle and not the right. Don't you think The DL would have been strong without Vernon? I do. This was a flat out blunder.
  10. There will be plenty of short yardage type of backs out there after final team cuts.
  11. Thinking exact same. Not even 1 game has been played (or won) and we assume playoff bound?
  12. One bright note is the DL is going to give QBs fits this season, for real. Nothing better than a D who gets mad pressure only needing to send 4.
  13. I agree with everything. And this team does need some wake up calls on not being too cocky front or else there is legit fear they will become the 2018 Jags.
  14. Every team is different. I think most want to see a decent drive before sitting starters, but most will sit them after they do. Personally, I don't keep starters out there if they have a nice drive, no reason to risk it.
  15. Selling papers, generating clicks....who watched Hard Knocks last night?
  16. It doesn't help matters that Hubbard has turned out to be pretty bad, now the entire right side of the OL is pretty weak.
  17. It's not even close. Hairball owns Tomlin in almost every phase. All Tomlin has is catchy quips and virtually nothing else. By all reports, he let that team turn into a clown show, with idiots like AB doing whatever they wanted. I'd take Hairball 100 out of 100 times.
  18. IDK, Vick lasted pretty long in the NFL, even having missed a few years over the dog crimes. AND, Vick even admitted he did almost no studying and had a bad work ethic. Jackson seems to be better in that area. I also am not sold on the "super athletic" QBs who can't become a pocket passer. But Steve Young did make the transition. And I'd have to say Randall Cunningham did too (i.e his days in MN). Regardless, even if LJ won't make the transformation to becoming more of a passer and there are "no old running QBs," LJ isn't old now, and won't become old this season either. If he doesn't pick up his passing game, teams will gameplan to slow him down (see the Chargers, although he almost came back in that game). But I believe their mauling power rushing and OL play and always stout defense will still win them some games and make them a contender. Even with all the rule changes and interpretations to help passing games, this is still a physical biz, and teams can still win on being very physical, which Balt. still is.
  19. There is more to the quality of a football team than just mere talent. With that thinking, Pitt is a far worse team because they don't have AB and Bell. Do you really think that's going to be the case? They will be a better team without those two idiots, even though both are very talented. Chemistry matters.
  20. That's where quality leadership coaching and a steady franchise comes in. There can be such a thing as addition through subtraction. They survives losing Read, Lewis, etc. and still be a winning team. I think they will still be a good team losing the Suggs, etc. as well. We will see.
  21. I am done wasting time paying attention to this guy, until he can actually last a whole season without another "event" happening. If there is anyone left who "feels sorry" for him at this point, they need hit in the head with a ball-peen hammer.
  22. I hear you. If the Browns establish a rushing attack, the passing game will be lethal. If they can find a way to keep the rush going (Chubb stays healthy) until week 10, Hunt comes in, and look out. Most all good teams can get down and dirty with the run, even if they have potent passing. Pats just kept rushing in the Super Bowl run 2018. Elway won nothing until he had a running game (TD). Browns need to be tough. Got to.
  23. The CBA almost forces them to practice soft.
