  1. Up to you to decide if it is relevant enough. Based on what I saw, it was more a protection issue, rather than a rookie kicker 'just' missing the PAT.
  2. I like that he took ownership here. Maybe that attitude will rub off on some of the ladies that were whining about being booed. And it was clearly a mistake. Even Flacco mentioned they wouldn't have won if Chubb just took the first and let the clock run. As I mentioned before, it is easy to forgive him, the way our offense leans on him, but it should be recognized as a mistake. That attention to detail and situational awareness will be required in order to have a chance to win the big one in the coming seasons.
  3. Re PAT: I distinctly remember a defender charging at York from the left side, about two or three steps away from the ball. Presumably that made him rush his kick. That breakdown in protection is on the coach's plate. Didn't anyone else notice that? Maybe @tiamat63in his video review?
  4. While I am often critical of coach 'Fancy,' he did a fine job yesterday. Focussed on the run, and short passing game. No 4th down shenanigans, and little to no fancy stuff. No frills, just move the chains football is how you can win games with this Browns team. It is the defense, specifically the secondary that is in complete disarray for the second game running. Considering this is supposed to be a strong position group for us, that is completely unacceptable. Joe Woods deserves the vast majority of the blame here. Neither can Stefanski help Chubb's decision to score, rather than slide and run the clock out like he should have done in a close game like this. Easy to forgive Chubb, since he carries the team on offense, but still a mistake that needs to be addressed to prevent reoccurrence.
  5. Agree with all of this. Only reason I am calling for Jacoby to sit, is the rushing ability Dobbs showed in pre-season, in addition to his arm. Having a rushing QB in addition to Chubb and Hunt seems an absolute nightmare for opposing defenses. Something they would have to adjust their entire game-plan to. You could even call a two tight end set with no backs as a 'trick' play, have them think: "they are definitely passing now," and still run the football with Dobbs. Coaching staff showed some creativity with running plays week 1. Handing the ball off one way, and then a second time to Schwartz for him to sweep the other way at full speed was quite ingenious. Mixing things up from rushing up the middle like that prevents defenses to just stack the box, the latter being potential kryptonite to our offense. And doing so rushing instead of passing seems the better bet. A rushing QB would help with that as well. The more I think about it, the more I would like to see us run the 'Cerberus' offense this season!
  6. Basically every other position will have to show up, in order for the likely lack of success passing. O-line, backs, defense. Hope coach calls for more short passing plays to help our Brisset. Get Njoku more involved, screen passes and such. As long a 'fancy' Stefanski lets Yorkie kick the ball, as opposed to his usual fourth down shenanigans, we're in with a shot.
  7. Like @hoortaalready pointed out, the weather is pretty much always nice here in Curaçao. One of the reasons I love living here. When it gets above 90 like it has for the past weeks, we get to complain about the heat The ABC-islands Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao are dubbed the 'islands below the wind' in Dutch, as practically all hurricanes and tropical storms pass to the north. I am told this is due to the proximity of the Venezuelan coast, against which wind builds up into a protective air-cushion of sorts. The last time a hurricane actually hit Curaçao was a freak occurrence in 1877. Anyone else affected by any of this? @TexasAg1969maybe? When I think of hurricanes, Ohio doesn't come to mind tbh.
  8. https://brownswire.usatoday.com/2022/09/16/perrion-winfrey-not-at-practice-back-in-cleveland-browns-doghouse/ Anyone hear more about the Winfrey situation? With the state of our IDL, it would be a damn shame if he turns out to be a bust.
  9. Had to be done. We are only one game in, and I just love this kid to death. I also expect to feel the need to express that more often. Game winner aside, did anyone else hear the commentary team say he put one of the kick-offs between the uprights? It was following one of our TDs, I think. The kid was literally practicing long field goals in-game. How friggin alpha can a kicker get?! An elite kicker is so complementary to a defense and running-oriented team like the Browns too. If coach 'Fancy' Stefanski keeps his urges under control, especially on fourth down, Cade could be one of our leading scorers this year.
  10. What an utterly idiotic line of questioning! "Were you attracted to any of them?" So it's okay to whip your dick out for hot chicks, and not for the fugly ones? Come to think of it, I kind of agree with that premise. Explain yourself Deshaun!
  11. I am hopeful PW will be able to get to him too, with the undoubted focus on our Edges. Faker is going to get buried. Maybe not six feet, but buried nonetheless.
  12. Brissett looked okay, but Dobbs looked much better in the time he got (which is too little IMO) Would be my vote to start. Bell had a few nice catches. More concerning was the defense looking underwhelming, but with the elite starters off the field there is room for improvement there. Emerson looked pretty good. Having 3, possibly 4 quality CBs on the squad is nice in this day and age.
  13. Those are my main takeaways as well. Dobbs looked like he should be in the conversation to start. Defensive back-ups are underwhelming to say the least. You cannot give up yards against the run like that. Browns would do well to invest draft picks to get more defensive depth, and maybe sign some veterans.
