Recruit for a better interior VS hold to account for multiple games of unacceptable blown coverages and generally underwhelming secondary play (i.e. fire Woods)... Can't we just do both?

Not sure whether to call it ambition, or fear. Without significant improvements to our D, I do not even see us getting out of the division at this stage. That will certainly have to come mostly from improved performance of existing players, but all Tia's preaching about shoring up the middle has me converted.

With Winfrey apparently deemed unworthy to suit up, and seeing our D-line struggle against Pitsburg, do we see Suh becoming an option for a one year mercenary deal? Especially if we are in a position to reach the play-offs towards the end of the season.

@tiamat63has me convinced we need to use 2nd rounder to draft the best DT available, or trade for one. I would also say that is unlikely, as that doesn't fit into the algorithms the Ivy leaguers use. They just seem to rate edges and corners higher.

Other teams gave up 1sts to get their target man. Best value trade of the past off-season, and it is not even close!

Between our O-line and JB's size, the QB sneak has become a weapon for us. Very useful!

The offense isn't even a concern. The defense on the other hand... Pitsburg has one of the worst O-lines in football, but managed to neutralize our pass rush for 99% of the game. And after rightfully being criticized for the plays they gave up the first two games, our secondary now only focussed on preventing getting beat over the top. If this doesn't improve, better teams and QBs are going to have a field day against us.

@tiamat63 Brissett may not be an elite talent, but his performance has been ranging from good enough to excellent so far. Also seems he is improving each week, as he builds a rapport with his receivers. Cooper had his first 100-yard game since 2016 yesterday. Njoku played as well as I remember seeing him. If JB keeps this up, it's going to be damn hard to bench him for Watson when his suspension is over. Keep the good stuff coming, thanks!

The thing that gets me: we only gave up a 5th for a perfect fit as #1 WR. Compare that to a 1st, 2nd, 4th and more Miami gave up for Tyreek. The latter is a stud, but we got infinitely better value.
