LOL! May I refer you to Orion's excellent post above. I'll have mine with cream and Splenda please Tom. LOL!🪗🛎️

I guess you guys haven't never had a life experience where you went against the boss.

Stefanski is a coffee fetcher. However, when this latest pile of shit philosophy flops, he will be the fall guy.

After that, when he speaks his mind, as it has happened time after time after time, you fucking geniuses will all be posting well, d'uh, I guess Ghoolie was right again.

Here is the difference between people like you imbeciles and people like me.

To you, Haslam owns the team, Haslam gets to call the shots, A coach has to abide.

Do you believe that? Yes, you do..So does Syd, Dutch, Flugs and the rest of you.

I can only imagine the advice you would have give to blacks before the Civil Rights movement...."You can't tell the man what to do, he is the boss"

Nobody has ever achieved greatness with this beta, cowardly manner of existence.

Stefanski can buck the system. He can defy DePodesta, he can defy the owner.

Oh, boo hoo, he may get fired?

Again, the difference between me and you guys..You are afraid to lose.your job, afraid of consequences for doing the right thing. Afraid of making waves.

If you think this is a team on the right track, then you are a fool. Stefanski has only so much time as a head coach. That he chooses to do it as a coffee fetcher is shameful, and worse, it keeps this team mired in .500.

Middle of the road Stefanski, middle.of the road Browns.

  2. The catfight here is in what information each of us uses to assess ShitMyPantsky.

What has always been an issue on this board with the Ghoolie (Not Ghouli, Ernie speeled it Ghoolardi, the station forced Ghoulardi), is that most here form their FO/HC opinions from what they read in the media.

Do you actually thingnthe Browns would let the public know that ShitMyPantski is a pussy? A coffee fetcher?

I form my assessment on what I know about life, business, and human nature.

My calls after 1 preseason game to fire Crennel and Sewage, then Hue Jackson were met with same Flugle-style mental masturbation of dissecting media releases that you imbeciles are defending ShitMyPantski with now.

Generally, the first thing out of a person's mouth is where the truth lies. Politicians for instance routinely say something stupid at the beginning of a discussion, and then spend 95% of the time releasing propaganda about how they never meant what they originally said.

My assessment of life is that the Grossi article in question hit home. The shock of this being true is so sickening that most Browns fans, like Flugel, are happy to accept propaganda as reality. It makes sleeping at night easier, doesn't it.

Sorry, but therebis something bizarre and abnormal about Stefanski. He reminds me of the beautiful Las Vegas call girl giggling as she carelessly pours $100 bills into a slot machine.

She is carefree because she has no skin in the game, she is spending Daddy's money, and as long as she puts out, Daddy doesn't care.

ShitMyPantski is too detached. Too calm. Too happy to be his own man.

If you think a man the caliber of Andy Reid or Bill Belichik would coach here, you are delusional.

    ShitMyPantski is a coffee fetcher.

Hey Flugs, why don't you repost your great fucking wisdom where you analyzed the industry and showed me that Phil Sewage and Romeo Crennel were not coffee fetchers, but as YOU analyzed it.....the genius behind Belichik and Ozzie.

You assured me that both of them would self destruction without those two imbeciles.

How many times does history have to repeat itself for you to get at least one thing right?

I gave you a bitch slapping over Crennel and Sewage, and I am giving you another one on ShitMyPantski.

He is a coffee fetcher. Always with you Flugel, you predict some Cattywompas horseshit, and then spend the next two years explaining how you were really 100% correct ONCE we consider the unforseen things that happened.

I will say this about you Tom, I know you to be 100% accurate at picking horse races the day after the race.

Bro, I hope I am wrong. You know a lot about football, but I know a lot more about hiring executives.

Dude, compliant men like ShitMyPantski never achieve greatness. Harmony is not in the equation of being successful.

    Coffee fetcher.

News flash.  Stef is not the owner.  Every HC is a subordinate of the owner.

Flugal explained what he did this past season with the pieces of crap that he had for QB's.  Stef took the analytics playbook and put it on moth balls.  He didn't have the QB's to be 'analytics aggressive'.  I feel quite certain that Stef had to put his foot down on that point to the Haslem -  DePo tandem.  Much like, 'Hey!  Do you want this team to win football games?  Then I'm going to have to do it Old School.'

When he masterfully got the team to the playoffs, the Texans got their QB back...and he played well...while ours was throwing it to the other team.  Not all Flacco's fault as he didn't have any Tackles on the offensive line.  They were NEVER going to go far in the playoffs with the number of starters they had missing.  The Cinderella Story ended pretty much as expected.

Newsflash, no head coach is the owner. Somenhead coaches have balls, and cause consternation to do the right things.

    Stefanski powders Depodestas nutsack.

Flugel? Dude, Flugel is to football what Don Knotts is to Law enforcement.

When I called Phil Sewage and Romeon Crennel coffee fetcher on day one, Flugal started.arguing with me that

    1) Sewage was the real genius behind Ozzie Newsome

    2) Romeo Crennel was the genius behind Belichik.

He maintained that both Ozzie and Belichik would fall apart with those two assholes coming to the Browns.

Flugel couldn't explain pussy to a drunken sailor with pockets full of cash.

Stefanski is a beta. He is soft and pliable. He has no spine. Haslam and company like this guy because he is a coffee fetcher.

I don't know wtf you guys do or did for a living, but for a lot of my career I have been a serial entrepreneur. My partner and I raised $4 million for a start up, and on more than one occasion I told the investors to shove their funds up their ass when they tried to take over the science.

I have lost more jobs than I care to recount from telling bosses to go fuck themselves.

I know this much, no man has ever achieved great success in anything without consternation and disruption.

Stefanski is a coffee fetcher. He is Romeo Crennel. He is Phil Sewage. Until Depodesta is gone, the Browns will remain floundering.

must be one helluva coffee fetcher to be a two time coach of the year

Or maybe Vinny Testeverde winning offensive player of the year?

Maybe you should join Dutch Oven laughing over his vagina thinking you zinged me.

Steffanski is a coffee fetcher, and just as the "experts did" when I called Phil Sewage Ozzie's coffee fetcher, you simpletons are so mesmerized by the propaganda you read to believe what your eyes see.

Stefanski isbthe IDEAL MODEL of today's PERFECT NFL coach. As Grossi reported (but imbeciles here don't assimilate) Stefanski agreed to relinquish important parts of his head coaching role in order to get the job.

He is a Beta. His is a cahuunt. He is a pliable, flexible mouthpiece for the NFL. He IS the head coach every NFL team not dedicated to winning wants.

He tows the line, does what he is told and paints rosey pictures.

I don't give a fuck what award he gets. He has been a loser for the Browns. He was so fucking far out of his league in the playoffs it was sickening.

But hey, you go ahead and blow the guy and thank him for mediocrity. He will never get to a championship, regardless of where he goes.

He IS, A a coffee fetcher.

I don't disagree with that.  In any given game a coach doesn't have the entire playbook on his call sheet.  Teams can only practice so many plays in a given week.

No doubt analytics has input on what plays have a chance to work based on statistical data the other team has produced, but in no way does Depo simply hand Stefanski his menu for the week or determine the gameplan..

Analytics is there to support the coaching staff, not tell them what to do.

Analytics is supposed to be a tool. ain't Cleveland, it is the rule. This is why the offense is predictable and easily shut down by the better teams.

Play by analytics, lose by them.

This board has hundreds of members, yet we seldom see new posters. It should be generating thousands of posts, yet it is only the same handful who post.

Flugel, a guy I like, Dutch Oven, and a few more are physically unable to disagree with someone without adding either a personal insult, politics, or in Flugel's case, a novel sized psychoanalysis of the poster.

I post about the stadium, and get to read about me being an altar boy. Who the fuck outside of a few people even know wtf that is about?

Some of you c*nts just don't get it. This is a fucking football board, not a bullshit, grade school trash talk forum.

A couple years before he passed, Stan asked me and one other guy to help him and to reach out to members via e mail, who don't post and find out why.

The number one reason? Regulars turning every fucking thread into bullshit personal comments.

Younger posters don't want to join in if they are going to be attacked or ridiculed.

Two mother fucking threads I post to talk about the stadium, and two cocksukers just decide to drag their bullshit over and keep at it.

Seriously, Tom, Dutch, you two, c*nts are like Behar and Whoopie. No matter what the fucking topic, you imbeciles can't resist from addressing the poster.

As someone who actually lives here in Cuyahoga County, I'm all for it.  I pay the taxes, so go for it.  The stadium sits empty most of the year.  A dome next to the Airport would generate a lot more concerts and other venues besides football.

Domes don't generate shit. 5 out of ten concerts break even, 3 lose money, and 2 are profitable.

Other than a concert, wtf pray tell kind of wintery events are going to attract crowds large enough to open and staff the stadium,  heat/cool it, fire up the concessions, bring security and turn on the lights?

If these meetings have ever been, or are still taking place, it is simply the group talking about plays that have the best chance of working.  I don't see that as a negative.

I believe Depo gives a guideline by his statistics of what can and can't be called in every situation.

I believe that the OC will call the plays, but only from previously chosen options.

Stefanski, to me, is like Romeo Crennell was, a coffee fetcher.

I'll say that me and Ballpeen respectfully have different perspectives on the stadium issue. My Bucket List wanderings of seeing the Browns play in every NFL venue is at 11, so I sort of feel qualified to opine on the issue.

Waahhhhh...  We need a dome. MHO? No we don't- and I'm as old as Ballpeen. My dome visits include Ford Field (Lions), Lucas Oil (Colts), and NRG (Texans). Nice places, but if that's the atmosphere you prefer, I suggest you stay home and watch the game on your widescreen in your living room- the ambiance is similar, and you'll save yourself a ton of money in the process.  Yeah, the amenities in the concourse are nicer- but more on that later.

I don't want to be cold!!!  Waahhhhaaa!!! Tell that to the folks up in Green Bay (Lambeau) or Kansas City (Arrowhead) speaking of- some folks lost body parts freezing off during that Playoff game. See any news- gee we gotta build a new stadium, and have a dome there? Didn't think so. Ergo- we gotta build a new pleasure palace every 25 years to keep the owner happy is bullshit. FWIW, the Bills new stadium is going to be open air, and Buffalo weather late fall and early winter is a damnsite worse than Cleveland's.

A disclaimer, and a couple final comments. I may not be as hardy as I was back 30- 40 years ago but you can see from my sig line I did plenty of mountaineering and cold weather camping back then. I still get out on my bike when the temperature is in the 30s, with single digit wind chills. Cold doesn't become a factor until well below zero or huge wind chills....  IF you know how to dress for it. OK a little FYI, you guys remember the Bengals Chargers froze bowl playoff game? I took a couple ski runs that day at Snowshoe in West Virginia with an air temperature of -29, and a wind chill of -78.  Yeah, now that's severe weather.  :D

My thoughts on remodeling First Energy?  It goes back to the way First Energy was built- with the thought they wanted to keep the "feel" of the old place. BIG mistake. That's my #1 observation & complaint with a bullet. The concourse behind the stands in Cleveland is sardine city. Visit any of the domed venues, or even the Bengals renamed Paycor... There's at LEAST triple, and maybe more breathing room behind the stands. That could be rectified the way Ohio State and the Bears did it, build a shell around the old place, and expand outward and upward. :)  Yeah City of Cleveland- you have some work to do besides, like rerouting the Shoreway, and building that bridge over the railroad tracks.

PS- if Haslam really wants a Dome in Brookpark- just build it yourself- with your own money. Same way Kroenke built So Fi in LA.   For sure, with a new Dome will come increased prices, and this season ticket holder since 1999 (Section 111 Row 9) has already reached the pain threshold. With driving costs, parking, and going to the game with the wife or a friend tops $500 bucks in my case.

Good to see you still kicking my old friend. I am , for my preferences always, anti-dome. Like you, I have experienced dome football and it just left me flat.

But you know that times change and often what guys like us grew up on gets passed for this softer fan of today.

I doubt that I will be here when the Brookpark replacement happens in 2060. My concern is that first Brookpard, then Fargo, ND.

I don't trust the NFL or Haslam, and I think both have no love for Cleveland.

Couch, weeden, Winslow, Mayfield, Manziel, William Green, Richardson, Warren, Courtney and of course butterfinger Edward's.

God yes, the Browns would never have achieved 1-31 and other greatness with all those "important" 1st round picks.

Whether Watson pans out has no bearing on the decision that was made.

The franchise wants a championship, Mayfield isn't taking anyone, anywhere. Watson was the best prospect available. Other teams dealt hard for him.

I recall hearing things last off-season regarding "big changes" on the offense to better suit Watson, but as we all saw, it was an awkward fit at times, still.

Well, supposedly with Ken Dorsey seemingly running the show on offense, allegedly the offense is looking like what Watson ran in Houston.

<<1. When was your first Browns game you attended in person? What do you remember from it?>>

Eagles game about '62. 2 memories. My Dad bought me a stadium horn. I put it up toy lips and started shouting p t p t p t. Not realizing that the pttttt ptttttt meant I was supposed to make the fart sound. A guy in front of us turned around and taught me the right way. He then encouraged me every two-minute to blow that horn. I got lightheaded. Man was I a dumb fuck on that day.

I also remember that some guy had a heart attack and collapsed in front of the bathroom.

<2. When was your last Browns game you attended in person? Any good/funny anecdotes from it?>

Inaugural opener. I was with Kathy Hutchins, Doug Jackson, and Eric Snodgrass. At the moment of silence just before the national Anthem, I convinced my friends to shout out, at the top of our lungs....KORDELL'S A HOMO. It got echo, it was that quiet.

    Sipe. First and only.

    6. Last Browns jersey you owned? Who?

<7. If you could go back in time and see any Browns game in person, what game would you go to?>

The 1999 Innaugural. KS Hutchins and Stan were still with us.

<<8. If you could put any current NFL player on the Browns, THAT DOESN'T PLAY QUARTERBACK, who would it be?>>

    WATT

  14. A few things.

Dec 2000 was the last time I was in the stadium. It was amazing, then.

Has it deteriorated in 25 years that it really isn't up for the task? My God where did the time go?

Is it more the case of times have changed and a dome and more creature features are just the standard of today's fan?

Financially, I believe the citizen gets the least benefit, a consolation prize if you will.

It is also worthy of discussion as ask, in 2055 when the Brookbark stadium has the owner demanding a new home......where does that one get built? I doubt that the old/existing site will be vacant.

Vegas needs to raise $1.5 billion for a crappy 30,000 seat dome. The court today ruled that citizens do not have a right to block the $385 MM that taxpayers will contribute to the Athletics.

So, those regular stadium dwellers, what say ye?

Well Ghoolie, I disagree.  There are multiple examples of teams playing outside the city limits of their named team.

I consider myself a Clevelander even though I grew up in Bay Village.  I don't know if you know the area, but it is a suburb maybe 15-20 miles west of town.  I have lived away from the area for over 50 years now but when people ask me where I am from, I say Cleveland, or the Cleveland area.  People know that.  They don't know Bay Village  from squat even though Bay is a very upscale suburb.  Anybody who lives in the area knows Bay is a desirable address.

I think a dome is a needed addition to the area, even though I don't live there.  I have been to at least dozens of games at the old stadium and having had season tickets since 2003(? maybe 150 games at the current, we need a dome.

I had nice seats on the 45 yard line, upper deck, 18 rows up to start, but after 3-4 years I moved to the club section.  The only place to get any heat was the restroom.  Let's face it, you can only stand in a restroom so long before you look like some sort of a freak...lol.

I want the conditioned environment.  The players want that.  This idea the game was supposed to be played in crap weather is bogus.  Back in the day, seasons were over by mid December....championship games.

College football has bowl games.  Why are they not played in places like Cleveland, Green Bay?  Because people aren't stupid enough to pay money to watch a game in crap conditions.  They will go to places like New Orleans, Miami and Pasadena.

    Just my take.

As I said to Tex, I fully understand your feelings. All that you say is sensible and even secretly has my support.

I am an old fart, ya know? I am a 69 year old guy watching the punt dissappear over the second deck overhang with 10 year old eyes.

So much of our lives is tied up in this shit. I will be fine with a Brookpark stadium, but thatndoesn't mean I won't pull chains and call.you domers, pussies.

"We need a new house to stay competitive" "We have to set a civic example".

Bally's agreed to demolish and sell the Tropicana property to bring the Oakland A's.

Already with a profitable casino now 1/2 demolished the owner is balking. He is trying to raise $500 M in debt and equity to steal tax payer money. Nobody wants to cough up a penny to the losing pile of Depodesta shit.

Bally's expected cash to begin a mega casino in Chicago and now are playing with their nutsack.

That's howbthesebfucker work dude. The create roses, the roses with and THEN.....we were just financially forced to move the team.

Astroturf and a dome? Yes, and also pantyhose for all the feminists men who support this bullshit.

The city filed to a complaint requesting the "Modell rule to be enforced. Frankly, the best thing that could happen is Haslam being forced to sell the team.

    • Thanks 2
  18. Two years before Modell moved, the grumblings of his unhappiness were known.

Other than reports and chatter that Modell was an asshole, there really was not proper attention given to this, and the rest is history.

Enter Haslam. He has no historical love lost for Browns culture, history or anything else past what these things do for his pocketbook.

So now, he favors a stadium in Brookpark. What infrastructure is there to support the madness that is Browns weekends and tailgating?

I will be dollars to donuts that Haslam has already arranged right of first refusal on properties that would skyrocket in value should the stadium move.

Personally, I believe the Browns should play in Cleveland, right where they are. On the grounds that the team was planted in.

I find it funny that they can find venture capital for a new stadium, but not 1/50 of that capital to build new parking decks and the amenities they feel downtown needs to make games an easier experience to enjoy.

Again, to me, the Brookpark Browns are no different than the Baltimore Browns.

Glad you're okay and enjoying life.

Dutch busted Nicks' balls but it didn't happen quite like you described.  He never said anything bad about  Nicks' mom believe it or not.  He said something like "Jesus Christ Nickers you just shared a picture of your mom and told everyone you want to do her. What the Hell is wrong with you?"   Nicks and Dutch have the same kind of exchanges you and Rich used to back in the day.

Not for nothing, after Nicks posted that picture of his mom - she grounded his ass.  She said something along the line of "ever since you posted that picture I can't keep your buddy Ghoolie away from here.  I also had to change my phone number because that sick bastard had me on speed dial." Nicks tried to set her straight with "Oh Stop!  Ghoolie grew up in the church and he was an Altar Boy forever mom."   Before he could say another word she said  "THAT AIN'T NO ALTAR BOY!"

Shifting gears - the NFL we once knew has become all about passing, scoring more points and protecting passers.  We're probably only about a few years away from 2 hand touch on QBs or the league making it flag football on passers only.  The OLD SCHOOL football I miss ended in the 90s.  In order to be successful in this era - you need weather controlled stadiums. Let me ask you a question - when is the last time you went to/wanted to watch a game in Cleveland late in the season?  When is the last time, or perhaps the 1st time, the team in the Windy City (Chicago) ever had a passing game their fans have wanted to come out and watch in November, December or January?   The climate there has perpetuated a bad passing game while the Lions just made it to the playoffs...  That's why you see people wanting domes in places today's players wouldn't otherwise want to play in. That said, more domes = more artificial turfs (that might lead to more injuries).

Sorry Tom, I don't need an analysis. This Dutch Oven guy is a sociopath. Now he is searching the guy's Facebook page?

Please, tell me by what perverted reality you don't find that fucked up?

I don't give a fuck if you respond to me or not, my friend.

I'll start another thread about the stadium, and leave this one to the counts (sp) who want to play among themselves.
