It's cheaper than a single $200 game day ticket. Honestly, it's not going to be much longer (on my retirement income) before I turn my Season tickets over to my 3 nephews.

I'm fortunate I don't have to hit Sports Bars when I'm not going to the Stadium. Which is getting less and less desirable as the years go by. My co season ticket holder about never goes to games anymore- and he only lives 15 miles from First Energy, not 220 as I do. BTW, The cost of admission to my pal's house is a bottle of wine and a pizza.

It happens.  It isn't cheap holding my club seats.  Especially when you start tagging on 3 nights in hotels as I do . This last game it was 4 nights.  We didn't feel like driving all the way back(625 miles) on Monday.

Time takes it's toll.

2. I have seen O-lines lining up in a concave manner for a good while.  Could be concave depending on how you look at it.  I guess the emphasis on protecting the QB has led to this.  Today you see tackles lined up with the helmet in line with their guards butt.

The league has allowed this so if they are going to start enforcing,  they need to give the OT 1 verbal warning.  I know they do this with edge rushers if it looks to the ref they are starting to push the boundary of the neutral zone.

3. Joel played the position and did a good job.  I am only looking at that as a possibility if Wills or Dewand get hurt. Dunn has done a good job at guard.  I don't see him as being weak at that position.

We drafted Hudson, but am not sure he is going to be all that good.  Marginal is my thinking.  We might need to think about drafting a few OTs over the next couple of years.

Yeah, I ended up paying for the YouTube Sunday Ticket in July.  Had a glitch getting logged in on Sunday (long story) so I finally gave up and went to a bar very nearby in the middle of the 3rd quarter. Anyway, watching the Browns start off with a win put me in a good enough mood to get back on the phone right after the game.  This time I spoke to someone that knew exactly how to resolve the issue and I watched some of the later games on it.

FWIW, when I've watched games with Browns Backers at a local bar in the past - those meals, beverages and tips 4 times a month for 4 months can really add up.  You can very easily spend $100 per month when you get right down to it.

Probably more like $200+ going out.  A cheeseburger, fries, and 3-4 beers is going to cost more than $20.  I admit that I am a good tipper, some may not feel this way, but after sitting there 3-4 hours I can't leave the server a $5 tip.  I generally leave at least $15.  They are having to come over and check on you for 3-4 hours.

The YouTube Sunday ticket experience is much better than DirectTv’s streaming. Much easier to switch from one device to another, I’d often miss the beginning of games due to work, now they’re automatically DVR’d.

Glad to see.  Hope a few more give reviews.  I have season tickets and will go to 6 games.  For the others i will probably get the Ticket this week. If the rate prorates down, I'll wait a few more.  I will get the Monday night game and am going to the Titans game.  I'd even get that one locally.

I am at the point I would rather stay home, cook a pot of something and watch from my easy chair rather than head to a bar to watch.

Do we give Jason turnstile Peters a call or some other viable vet?

we have leatherwood and Hudson but neither invoke confidence should Wills or Jones go down.

I think we probably look towards Leatherwood as a back-up.  If Wills gets hurt, probably switch Jones to LT .  We played Bitonio at LT a few years ago.  Maybe we do that.

oh boy...
Lets quit acting like 1000 yards is a lot.
...it has a nice 'ring' to it.  :)

You have to use the word chumps in context.  I don't mean scrubs.  If Frenchy Fuqua played 17 game seasons he would have gained near 1000 yards.

8. That is my point.  I don't think they are elite just like I don't think that backs who gain 1000 yards are all that good.

We hold the player of today to standards when players played 12-14 games a season.  Chumps from 30 years ago would be superstars today.  The new standard for backs should be around 1500 yards.

You live in the Cincy area, right? Kind of have to expect that you'll date a Bengals fan.

But a fan of TTUN? FUCK. THAT. NOISE.

Who cares who she roots for.  We can root for whoever we want, at least until the socialists(communists) tell us who to root for.

If her mind, personality, and body work for him, that's good enough for me.

I was thinking Josh Gordon early in his career but he fell short his rookie year. He had a legitimate shot at 2K his second year he was close with Jason Freaking Campbell throwing the ball to him.

And I was surprised as well that Webster wasn’t a two time 1000 yard guy and Gary Barnidge had that year in 2015 where he caught everything and made  some highlight reel catches.

If Cooper stays healthy I don’t see how he doesn’t crack 1K again.

They play 17 friggen games a year.  That's less than 60 yards a game.  Lets quit acting like 1000 yards is a lot.  Elite receivers should gain around 1400 yards.

The roster I'm looking at says he has 9 years of NFL experience. If that's true and he's 27 - that means he was on an NFL roster when he was 18years old?  Flugel gonna Google for our answer.  Okay, it says he's 32 years old.  On November 19th he'll be 33.

He's still fast though...

LOL....my bad..I googled Godwin.  Sorry about that.  Thanks for the correction.

In my opinion, MUST WIN GAMES are any team that you're supposed to beat (the weaker teams in the league) and / or  Your division rivals at home.  - Then you play 50-50 with the rest of the games.  That'll get you right in the mix for the playoffs.  If you can't do that then you don't belong in the playoffs.

1    Cincinnati    1:00 pm     Home        MUST WIN
2    Pittsburgh    8:15 pm    Away
3    Tennessee    1:00 pm    Home
4    Baltimore    1:00 pm      Home        MUST WIN
5    BYE
6    San Francisco  1:00 pm Home
7    Indianapolis    1:00 pm   Away
8    Seattle    4:05 pm          Away
9    Arizona    1:00 pm          Home        MUST WIN
10    Baltimore    1:00 pm     Away
11    Pittsburgh    1:00 pm    Home         MUST WIN
12    Denver    4:05 pm        Away
13    L.A. Rams    4:25 pm    Away
14    Jacksonville    1:00 pm  Home
15    Chicago    TBA              Home        MUST WIN
16    Houston    1:00 pm       Away        MUST WIN
17    N.Y. Jets    8:15 pm       Home
18    Cincinnati    TBA           Away

During the season, a solid team may become a weaker team for whatever reason...loss of a QB maybe.   And a thought to be weaker team may become a strong team, for whatever reason.  You still have to beat the teams that you're supposed to beat.  So, to me, we need to come out of this with at least 11 wins. (12 would be nice since we have the extra home game)  -  I predicted us 9-8 in Dutch's thread.

- Papa's team plays Grandson's team in week 14 -   :)

I get what you are saying, but if we win your must win games and nothing else, we win 7 games.

Just play the season.  All games are must win, and know you aren't going to win all of them.  You never know which loss is going to hurt the most.  You never know which win is going to help the most.  That season ending loss to the Bengals which you project might be the killer.

I do understand you may not project it as a loss, but it could be the must win game.

Just stack up wins and hope it is good enough.

I always looked at it as winning 6 or 7 home games, and splitting on the road.

If the Browns go 7-2 at home ( I know, rarely happens) and split 8 road games, they have 11 & a playoff berth.

We will know a lot about this team at the BYE week.

Our bye week is in week 5.  That is pretty early.  It won't be good if we are 1-4 at week 5, but it isn't over at week 5.  The last 12 games are going to count for something.

Same if we are 5-0...you know well enough we can bodger it up after that.

14. Noory has done a real good job.  I still tune him in if I wake up at 1-2AM, which is a regular thing these days.  I like IAN Pundant...he is a weekend fill in guy.  I think he is out of Atlanta.  I have listened to Church.

It is what it is.  As I have gotten older and retired, I sleep like a cat.  A few hours here, a few hours there....no set deal of going to bed at 9 and waking at 4 like I did when working.  I sleep when I am tired and stay up no matter the hour.  My wife gets mad when I get up and fix a cup of coffee at 1AM.  I'll sleep again between 5 and 7, or maybe 9 and 12, or 2 and 5PM.  LOL

I stay up when awake and sleep when tired.

15. Larry King was great.  Same with the Art Bell program.

Glad there are some other radio heads out there.  At least for me, I would pick up some "far away" station, then go to my Google of the day, the "Funk and Wagnalls", and read about the city the next morning.

My parents bought our Funk and Wagnalls at the grocery store a few volumes at a time.  Fishers grocery store.  It took about a year to get the entire set.

16. I was a radio freak as a kid in Bay Village.  I'd tune that sucker and get all excited listening to a radio station in New Orleans or listen to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.  I felt like I was there.  Heck, I was.  You left the bubble called Cleveland.  I actually started to like country music back then, but wouldn't admit it to my friends because they made fun of it....lol.   Kind of like us Clevelanders kind of, sort of like Polka music, even if you don't admit it.

WSM...650 on the dial.  The Opry has been broadcast nearing 100 years now as a weekly program. The longest running program.  Maybe since 1924.

I am sure you remember as a kid every once in a while you could pick up Detroit TV stations.  Man, that was an exciting moment!  Even Toronto every now and again!  They were mostly showing the same stuff, but still, it was another world just like radio stations out of Nashville, New Orleans, St Louis.

Pretty cool as a 10 year old kid.

Lol, well 3 strikes and she's out?

Seriously though, I think the AM station that covers the BenGals is between 700-800 (WLW I think). I know AM radio isn't what it used to be but it's one of the more powerful station ranges in the country.

Edit....here's a link

https://www.bengals.com/broadcast/radio

I don't know.  For listening to games, AM is the best.  FM stations usually only have a broadcast rage of maybe 40 miles.  The clear channel AM stations can rage 700 or more miles.  I can pick up WTAM at night and I live 650 miles away.  I've picked it up when I went to school in Gainesville many moons ago.  I think it was WERE...maybe WHK...I can't remember.

Those clear channel stations were set up for national defense purpose.  It doesn't matter where you are in this country, you can pick up one of them.  You can usually get them at night because stations on a close frequency have to shut down at sunset.  In an emergency, they have to shut whenever told by the FCC.

Actually, with the advent of satellite radio and personal devices, FM is on the downswing.  AM dominates the talk and news segment.  When in Cleveland, I tune in 1100 to get the news and traffic.  I'd bet a lot of you listen to Wills and Snyder in the morning.  You know you are going to get the skinny every 10 minutes or so.  It's a good format.
