    Good genes.

Last year at this time, BYU had a WR entering the draft that was 6-1 208lbs and not very well known by NFL Draft enthusiasts.  His name is Puka Nacua and he was selected by the Rams in the 5th round (as their last of 4 picks in that round).  More specifically, he became their 8th pick.  Here's a written summary of the selection: Non-stop motor and aggressive attitude helped Nacua overachieve for the Cougars... Good hands and body control... Can be dangerous on reverses and sweeps... Not a deep threat... Will make it difficult for the Rams to cut him, but he's not a game-breaker...

In 2023, this rookie had 105 receptions 1486 yards 6 TDs 14.2 yards per catch.   Against the Browns he had 4 rec 105 yard 1 TD 26.3 ypc and 2 carries for 34 yards. Let's just say we got acquainted more than we wanted to.

Why all this?   There's really good prospects all over this country that aren't on national television every week.  These are the gems in rounds 5-7 that award the teams that put in the research and the GMs that trust that research.

Could you imagine the outrage from a certain corner of this message board if say Lamar Jackson had done something like that?

    THE OUTRAGE! 😁

(The absolute best part of that incident is a guy drafted #1 in the NFL could not outrun a cop. Comedy gold, right there.)

And it wasn't like that cop didn't just get called out of a diner with a belly full of grits...

I think he's gone before we pick at 54.

How about this guy as one of our last 2 picks?  WR Luke McCaffrey, Rice 6-2 195 lbs.  Beat his older brother Christian's time in the 40 yard dash running a 4.46.  He started off as a QB for Nebraska before transferring to Rice and settling in at WR.  He'd make a very good slot receiver IMO.

Oh well, I'll admit when I'm wrong.

No enoticon from Baby Steps this time.

You refused to admit you were wrong so you pretended all the times he did this before turning 69 are irrelevant to him being a dirt-bag.  Then came the detour to you asking me if it happened when he was President.

Oh my! Your wit is staggering!

So, during Trumps first term, how was his prior sexcapades detrimental to our country? In what way did it adversely affect his job as president?

    No emoticon there Baby Steps.

I gotta run now, and when I come back your answer should be..."it had no effect".

    End of story.

Staying consistent with your thought has Watson had the allegations since he's been a Brown?  Don't change the subject because it got inconvenient.  I came here to tell you that's hypocritical to adore one guy with with a lot of these allegations in his past but call another one a dirt bag.

The Kinder Gentler Flugel has to go back to work now.

Don't be a stranger, love nothing more than rubbing another liberals nose in his own shit.

Okay I used to coach Dumbbells so I'd be happy to do that again for you.  "That's your nose you just rubbed in my shit. Will you stop rolling in it?"

Hey baby steps, where did you go? Back to your safe space?

Fitting that a crybaby begins a post with ' "baby steps."

Thats your subconscious doing that Flugs.

😆 Don't you dare start missing me. At least you're giving me credit for having subconscious brain cells Gorka.  I appreciate your generosity.  I would have done all this on the football board but we've been forbidden to talk politics on it; and rightfully so...

Cross off Sweat entirely, or at best drop him a couple rounds to high day 3.

Do I dare say that could be one of the best things that happened to our 2024 draft?  And "with the 85th pick of the NFL Draft the Cleveland Browns select Defensive Tackle and Happy Hour Coordinator T'Vondre Sweat from the Texas Longhorns in conjunction with the Travis State Penitentiary."

Once upon a time (1988) Al Davis drafted a DE Scott Davis 25th overall out of Illinois that was in jail during the draft.

Sanders would be a liability in run blocking...but I didn't think that Harrison was great at run blocking...nor was he much of a receiving target.  I expected more out of a Mackie winner.

Not only that Bryant was a very good OT in high school believe it or not.  I can't remember if he switched to TE as a senior or in college.  All that being the case, I thought he'd bring some of those blocking skills to our offense.  I was wrong.

On the other hand, David Njoku has developed into a very good blocking TE after a shaky start with that part of his game.

In some of our previous discussions where we picked 5 favorite guys for our 2nd and 3rd round draft slots - Dutch put Buckeyes TE (morphed from LB/DE) Cade Stover at 6-4 251 lbs as one of his favorites.  He seems like he offers that throwback dual purpose Dave Casper/Mark Bavaro type.  He made tons of clutch catches at Ohio State and had 5 TD receptions in each of the last 2 years.

In the end, I like your thinking about TE and Sanders is listed as the 2nd highest rated TE in 1 magazine and the 3rd in another.  Stover is rated just 1 spot behind him in each of those draft magazines fwiw.  Both guys are good clay to mold for an NFL team.

There was a time where I actually did follow the draft and prospects. I don't know anything about the players in this years draft. I would imagine they will address the O-line and possibly linebacker.  Seems like we addressed RB and WR pretty well in FA. I would bring in another CB to develope as insurance for Ward or Newsome.

If you're old school like some of us - go buy a draft Magazine and it'll get you up to speed with the names, positions and rankings within the position groups.

Weakest comeback in Browns Board history.....

You got me good the other day Diehard.  You do that better than anyone to me when we're on different sides of a debate; and you nail me with something you know I can only laugh my ass off with at my expense.

Your incessant crying is quite hilarious. Maybe go back to your safe space?

Again, I don't give a fuck about trumps sexcapades as a private citizen.

    What word don't you understand?

Oh yes you do care about Trump's sexcapades. It gets you all riled up. I can tell by the cyber tough guy cussing. You were giving me 3 replies  every time time I only give you 1. I'm hitting all kinds of nerves or jarring something loose.

Now he's not not a dirt bag if he refrained from sexual harassment during the short span he was in office? 😆 Terrific!  Now that there's no recent news of Watson sexually harassing women since he has been a Cleveland Brown - we'll apply your criteria to him.  You need a black Saint especially while your Messiah is in and out of court.

You've been flying off the handle since we've been talking. Looks like we need to get Nurse Ratched back to your part of the R-WING. You need your meds.  As you were...

Thoughts on LB Payton Wilson, NC State with the 2nd round pick? Is that a legit spot for him?

He has some red flags, specifically his injury history, but man he's got some tools galore.

That injury history could push him back to our 1st draft slot.  When you get home from work I just started a thread nobody will see until tonight about who do you think the Browns will pick at #54 overall?

  14. Give it a shot - it's just for fun.  Try to make it someone projecting in the vicinity of the draft slot in round 2. I'll start with a slight reach (and I'm thinking we might even draft a RB in the next round).  Here's my selection for the Browns at Pick #54 in Round 2 (and if he head butts Rodger Goodell - I'll give him a $200 bonus):

LT Kiran Amegadjie - Yale, 6-5 321lbs 37 inch arms  - 2 time All Ivy League 1st Team Selection.  Strong, fast, fierce and agile.  Led his team to 2 Ivy League Championships.  In 2015, the Bucs drafted Division 3 OG Ali Marpet out of Hobart in the 61st slot overall and he eventually made the Pro Bowl.  1 Mock Draft in Athlon Sports Draft Mag has the KC Chiefs drafting Amegadjie at #63 overall to protect the blindside of Mahomes.  Right now LT is a glaring weakness on the blindside of QB the Browns have invested a lot of money in.  LTs go fast in the draft so it might be very well worth the reach.

Now I'm trying to get out of this? You arrogant liberals think you've got people pegged, so smart you are.

Quite frankly I don't give a fuck what Trump did as a private citizen, as if wealthy business owners never cheat or have affairs.

We're not electing him to be a holy man, we're electing him to run a country.

Another temper tantrum? Stay on topic Poindexter.  You're a Revenge of the Nerd effort gone sloppy, spastic and wild.

How many more replies do you need to make to my 1 post above?  Trump was elected last time; and he did so great he lasted only 4 years.  Here's where you get really stupid.  Sure the liberals were a significant part of firing his ass - but the winning difference was all the women your messiah continued to piss off.  The whole truth is always better than just sticking to the convenient parts of it.

Last but not least, we're not talking about him cheating on his wives - we're talking about allegations of sexual harassment.  You're pulling out every high school debate team trick you ever learned while all your peers were playing sports.

So what you got so far is a guy talking like a guy?

It's true too, bimbos throw themselves at celebrities all the time.

Where's all your proof to back up your statement of 50 years of sexual 'misconducts' as you call it?

Should be a mountain of material you can dig up for 50 years worth right?

Let's baby step here.  One of those guys was about to be running for President in 2016. The absolute carelessness of what he said to a guy he just met that was asking him questions and taping him without his knowledge strikes you as what's the big deal?  Females heard this right?  What percent of the vote do you suppose they make up?

You never answered my question...was Trump ever accused of sexual misconduct while in office?

Not so fast. Look at you trying to get out of this.  🤣 Damage was already done from age 20 through 68 as a sample size of 5 decades of sexual harassment/misconduct allegations.  Trump was also convicted of sexual harassment and misconduct in court and what he owes has been well covered in the news.  Here is his unfiltered mouth below describing what he was able to do/get away with as a celeb; but he is WHITE and a Republican today so guess who gets the benefit of the doubt from you and Cal?

In conclusion, Watson isn't the only dirt bag with Sexual harassment and misconduct allegations in this comparison with Trump.  When you start counting inconvenient truth from beginning to end - you won't be so angry and disappointed all the time when people have to straighten you out with it.  My time here is done.  My once every 1-2 years visit to this board has run it's course.  As you were...
