tiamat63
Posted in the Eagles Gameday thread 8/24. Sometimes you just gotta toot your own horn. Take a guess what become more prevalent when Freddie took over the offense? (Hint, it was the outside zone) - "I'm ging off practice and pre-season, just like the coaches. Again, to further this point - I believe Chubb can (and should) show out better. Right now he needs some attention to the fundamentals which I'm sure he will be getting an earful of this week. Just going off his eyes and when his stance is square and feet not moving, he came off the initial read late and stopped his feet. To me, this would say my RB's eyes and footwork are out of sync. I'm also seeing some evidence of Chubb simply sprinting to the line on these interior gap runs BUT, on some of the zone and lateral work we do from the gun he is more likely to find the crease because I believe that lateral step forces him to slow down just a tad and gives him the ability to find his gap. check it out a few plays before @ 3:25. Get back to me because I would LOVE to hear an opinion as well thought out as mine thus far." -
Unsympathetic
PFF most recent mockdraft has us getting Wilkins from clemson.. I don't disagree, even with Devin White still on the board. Fun fact I had never heard before: Ogunjobi and Garrett were #1 and #2 in the league in DL snaps in 2018. We can't run our young guys into the ground like that.. It'd be nice to be able to get White, but the staff wouldn't play Og/Garrett so many snaps if they had confidence in literally any other warm body on the roster. Because they don't think we have enough NFL talent elsewhere, we need more DL.
CLEVELANDwantsPLAYOFFS
We got lucky with this guy. We’d have the best QB and RB in the class if it wasn’t for Barkley.

I think he might take it.. Yeah, he only started 10 games - so my guess is a starter's work load for another 6 games has him exceeding Barkley's rushing yardage. More on that in a minute. I'm going to share some stats below and 1 thing, in particular, that jumped out at me was the # of runs he had over 20 yards (11) despite only 10 starts. The only guy below with a better ypc than Chubb's 5.2 was Denver's undrafted rookie RB Phillips Lindsay with 5.4. Another interesting stat is the 3 rookie RBs combined for a total of 0 fumbles... Barkley had 69 more carries than Chubb (69 x Chubb's 5.2 ypc = 358.80 yards). Adding that 358.80 yards to Chubb's 996 rushing yards brings him up to 1354.80 yards.
