Calfox said it best, the refs are a lame excuse but it was evident the Tits weren’t getting nearly as fucked on calls as the browns were. 20 penalties is ridiculous when the other team had only 3

Not if your team keeps fucking up badly. And they were.

I have to say that what infuriated me the most was Baker holding the ball too long. Some of the sacks were well beyond 3-4 seconds after the snap. I don't know if had to do with the playcalls and the routes being too long (thats a Hueish mistake) or him playing the hero.

I also noticed how he almost exclusively played under center when we ran the ball, and even in some empty backfield formations from the shotgun.

I said it before the game and I still think the same. The more we balance our offense between rushes and passes, the more we will succeed, as we got weapons for both those playing styles and no defense can cover them both simultaneously.

stop blaming the fucking refs....our team deserved a high percentage of those calls.....they sucked....end of story...fucking players kicking the opposition in the head...guess that was a b ad call also....the only call i saw that was bad was the qb sack on baker as he was not nearly in the grasp...they could have even called more penalties on the clowns...i saw them get away with some that were not called.on top of the ones that were....the coaches deserve alot of blame for a hugh lack of discipline...hugh lack of....

One team was prepared.

One team was not.

One team was doing an awful lot of commercials, promotions and online stuff.

I guess we will find out Monday night who is ready to get their heads back into football.

Playing calling and coaching are Baker's best friend but he doesn't always listen

Sticking to the "refs not calling as much penalties on the Titans" is like trying to fight for your 5% of reason in a discussion. The blame is on us.

Two points:

1. TN was much more physical than we were.

2. After Williams took over as HC last year, the stupid penalties decreased dramatically. Not saying that we shouldn't have hired Kitchens---not saying after one game that Kitchens must be fired---just stating a simple fact: under Williams on-field discipline improved and the stupid, constant shoot-yourself-in-the-foot-defense-can't-get-off-the-fucking-field-on-third-down moronic penalties largely went away. Freddie has to get a handle on this---fast.

I wonder if it’s his real name? Stage name?  Fits the subject for sure

Daniel Gregory Amen (born 1954)[1] is an American celebrity doctor[1] who practices as a psychiatrist[2] and brain disorder specialist[3] as director of the Amen Clinics.[4] He is a five-times New York Times best-selling author as of 2012.[5]

Amen has built a profitable business around the use of SPECT (single photon emission computed tomography) imaging for purported diagnostic purposes.[6] His marketing of SPECT scans and much of what he says about the brain and health in his books, media appearances, and marketing of his clinics has been condemned by scientists and doctors as lacking scientific validity and as being unethical, especially since the way SPECT is used in his clinics exposes people to harmful radiation with no clear benefit.[7][8][9][10]

Amen has studied brain injuries affecting professional athletes,[3] and has consulted on post-concussion issues for the National Football League.[11]

Amen has produced television programs about his theories. One of them, "Change Your Brain, Change Your Life," was aired by PBS affiliates 1,300 times in 2008 during fund-raising drives.[8] Another, "Magnificent Mind at Any Age with Dr. Daniel Amen," was aired before January 1, 2009.[21] Neurologist Michael Greicius, director of the Stanford Center for Memory Disorders and principal investigator of the Functional Imaging in Neuropsychiatric Disorders Laboratory at Stanford stated, "The PBS airing of Amen's program provides a stamp of scientific validity to work which has no scientific validity."[8][36] These programs have been described as infomercials for Amen's clinics. The program's depiction of the "wonders of ginkgo and other 'natural' products such as St. John's wort." was also criticized.[8][21] Alternative-medicine skeptic and physician Harriet A. Hall and neurologist Robert A. Burton criticized PBS for the airing of these programs.[8][23] Michael Getler, the PBS ombudsman, replied that "PBS had nothing to do with the 'Brain' program's content and did not vet the program in any way." Local PBS affiliates "make their own editorial decisions based on their own guidelines about what to air," he wrote.[23][37]

So it's not just me... whew.

I'm seeing Baker's face everywhere... add to that his off-season weight gain and I do wonder about his dedication. Hope I'm way off base here and/or Sunday's wake-up call kicks in.... FAST....

Just signed up to this forum. Nice to have a place to vent .. lol ..

I think that Sunday's debacle was a direct reflection of none of the 1st teamers getting ANY useful play time during the preseason. I know that they have to prevent injuries, etc, but that was the most ill-prepared team I think I've ever seen. They certainly looked like they hadn't played football in about 8 months. It showed, really, throughout the league, this past weekend.

I've thought, especially in more recent years or maybe decades, that it can be risky when a young twenty something signs a contract with a signing bonus so "generous" that he can retire in style before he ever gets smacked in the mouth in a real NFL game.

And now that someone is pimping for HULU, not even NETFLIX, whoa.

Well we will find out more about his resolve to lead this team on the next MNF.

It did not show with Dallas or NE. Those two looked SB ready in all phases of the game.

EDIT: Welcome to the Titanic-just in time for the music to start.😁

Even the HOU/NO game was awesome no layoff blues there.

The young #1 pick quarterback for AZ didn't look bad either.

.......but there were a lot of sloppy games beginning with GB/CHI.

Brees was rusty...................................................................for a half. Thank goodness experience showed because he won me my FFL this weekend with that 2nd half gem. It was truly a great MNF game.

You're correct ... but nearly all other games. Look at how badly Trubisky and the Bears looked. Even Aaron Rogers looked bad. The league has morphed into this "no preseason play for the starters" mentality, and it shows. We'll get better, but on Sunday, we lacked preparedness and discipline.

True, I missed the beginning but it was a great second half.

Suggested reading for Freddie and the team

52FAEE01-C9BB-47CE-9A19-59839D3E7D05.jpeg

Never seen nor read a worse stat line in my life... 1) We had 7 drives in each half..(10 flags 1st half/8 flags 2nd) 2) Drives 2 & 4 in first half were the only drives of half, without a offensive flag..Worse.. the drive 2, was a 4th &28 after 2 sacks..the 4th drive started with a Chubb +9 yard run. to see 2 incomplete's, punting on 4th & 1:huh:..The 2nd half, the final 7th drive of game Chubb got 4 straight touches, failing on 4th & 2.. only 2 other drives in 2nd half that came without a offensive penalty in the drive?..were 2 interceptions.. were going to start running out of feet to shoot at this rate

Trubisky and co. laid an egg most of the entire game. It's the first game. If it doesn't click yet, it's not good. I just believe their game plan fell apart because they thought their oline could handle the defense they faced. Nope. Good that I benched him - he only was worth 2 freaking points. Probably the only time that will happen all season. We'll see how it goes.
