NO, not top ten.

Fouts and Charlie Joiner then, Fouts has to be up there.  The new era passing game will pass a lot of the old dudes in time.

Would you believe Marino and Clayton?

Would have thought Aikman and Irvin were together long enough.

How about Kelly and Reed?

You would think Aikman to Irvin would be on the list, but if I recall Aikman really didn't throw that many touchdowns. Off the top of my head I think his high mark in a season was something pedestrian... 22?

No.  Fouts is not in the Top Ten anywhere.

There must be a real difference between QB to receivers in catches, yards versus TDs.

A lot of those earlier drives must have ended up with RBs like Emmitt Smith instead of the QB to receivers.  Interesting, now the QBs are racking up TD passes.

Here is today's Trivia Question.

Name the Top 10  QB  to  WR or TE   Touchdowns duos in history.   The combos that teamed up for  the most  TD passes.

Example:  Joe Montana to Jerry Rice.  (but FYI, that one is only 19th on the all time list...so you don't need to consider it.)

Answers:

1. Peyton Manning to Marvin Harrison  112 TD passes

2. Phillip Rivers to Antonio Gates  89

3. Steve Young to Jerry Rice  85

4. Dan Marino to Mark Clayton  79

5. Tom Brady to Rob Gronkowski  78....and counting

6. Ben Roethlisberger to Antonio Brown  74

7. Drew Brees to Marquise Colston  72

8. Peyton Manning to Reggie Wayne  67

9.T  Aaron Rodgers to Jordy Nelson  65

9T. Jim Kelly to Andre Reed   65

Notes:   I mentioned Montana to Rice not being Top Ten...They were #19

Browns top duos:

17.  Otto Graham to Dante Lavelli  56

27.  Frank Ryan to  Gary Collins  49

I don't see how  Otto Graham and Dante Lavelli could have hooked up for 6 more TD passes between  2016 and now.....unless they were heavenly passes?

Different sources might compute things differently like regular season and postseason.

Oh if they were counting heavenly td passes I'm sure it would be in the hundreds or maybe thousands by now.  ;)

Probably right.   My source only used  regular,  not postseason games.

Check.   (before I checked this out I knew about Burt, but not the others.  The most surprising one is Morrison. I had no clue he spent time in Fla.

11. Fred Dryer, Pio Sagapolutele, Webster Slaughter - if I'm not mistaken that would also include QB Brian Sipe at SD State.

You all have been let off the hook long enough.   Here is today's trivia question:

Since the merger, in 1970  name those players who have streaks of  scoring a TD in 11 consecutive games or more.  (rushing or receiving...though, hint: only one name is a receiver).  10 names.
