That’s actually not too far off. I would see it as more of an acknowledgement instead of an apology. Sort of like saying “I may not be able to relate, but l acknowledge your life has been significantly different than my own. I support you in improving that.”

I see it as a positive. When you have a few million people screaming that there’s a problem, for those that don’t have that same problem it’s a decent human response to ask what the problem is and how can we help.
