The Guardians have great starting, middle and closing pitching   -and-  a good  defense   -and-  a scrappy  1-9  hitting lineup.  Not NYY HR hitters but scary enough to draw in the playoffs.

And King Kwan just hit his  1st  ever Grand Slam  HR !    CLEVELAND  10-2  to bottom  8.   6 outs to go.   That's right the Cleveland  GUARDIANS  are going to win the American League Central Pennant   and will be in the MLB  playoffs. 

All they have to do is get 6 outs against the Texas Rangers.....who just loaded the bases, no outs.

I read that Pluto story on FB, surprised it wasnt behind a paywall! - great story!

Hope he recovers and is healthy strong for 2023 so he can get to 4000 games  and 50 years!

Pic #1: Going into Progtessive Field via the Centerfield entrance

Pic #2: The sign at the top of the LF bleachers, where John Adams sat. A bronze statue of his drum will be put there soon.

Pic #3: I took this pic from our seats in the bleachers of the restaurant that has been at Jacobs/Progressive Field since it opened in 1994. With the new set of renovations starting when the season ends, it will be eventually removed. Thought I would get a photo of it before it is gone.

Game 160 of 162 -  KC in CLE  at 6:10 pm.  Lynch  versus  McKenzie. 

■~~~~>  ⚾  >~~~~>   Game  3 of 6 is  on now !     -GO GUARDIANS-  

....  1-1   2-2   right through  9.   Well I watched  the game to the end.  But no computer.  McKenzie was great but the Guardians could not get that key run tonight.  A little sloppy defense too.

....x....   KC  5-2  in 10.   A 3R HR in the top of the 10th sealed the deal.  CLE  (90-70)  two more left.

I will be able to see the last two games  before checking into the hospital for Thursday and Friday  and hopefully home by Friday evening.   just tests.  No great TV in that place !  I always take a radio, my tablet  and my cell phone.

Perhaps the most surprising Cleveland baseball regular season I've ever witnessed comes to a close this afternoon at 4pm... I have to admit, I didn't see this happening. I thought if the pitching stayed healthy and the offense could somehow be middle-of-the-pack that they could stay in it, but to run away with the division title in what really was a rebuilding year? 

No way.
