He took to Twitter to guarantee that things will be different and the team is in a position to win games this year. I don't know. I think that may be a syndrome that runs throughout sports reporting, at least on the local levesl. News reporting had undergone a major shift over the last 20 years. Reporting has gone from an advertising-based revenue source to subscription-based. In that shift, the reporting has to at least to some degree be what the readers want to read. It's a lot easier for a person or a team to 'boycott' a writer, or even an entire news outlet v. say a national press secretary who has to field questions. Locally, it is far easier to grant access to whoever they want. It's just human nature. If you were the sports star or team owner answering questions and you had two reporters wanting to ask the last question, one who is always grilling you or one who is at least softening the tougher questions, who are you going to call on? Kind of like when you were in school, yet opposite. If you knew the question you had your hand up as high as possible, maybe even waving it. If you didn't, you tried to hide behind the kid in front of you, hoping like heck the teacher didn't call on you. LOL, we have all been there. Neo Posted June 18, 2023 Report Share Posted June 18, 2023 I joined this place years ago hoping to connect with other Browns fans, then the board split and I went over to the new board. Then politics drove me away from that board and came back here. Only to find things aren't that much different here. Coupled with the fact the Browns being perpetual losers and political bullshit showing me just how nasty some Browns fans can be, I'm losing interest in it all. I think I'm just going to move on from football altogether. However, I did find some joy watching Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets win the championship.
