Ready for this?  Jerome Ford rushed for 106 yards while Nick Chubb rushed for 64 yards.  That should have opened up the passing game not make it more difficult.

I do not expect good things from here out.

Stefanski has no idea how to use Watson, and Watson is obviously so far in to his own head right now.

They are a horrible fit. This offense looks as jumbled and patchwork as it did the last six weeks.

I wish I knew what they should do at this point. I think our coaching staff is messing him up.  I remember seeing Watson as a very good young QB in Houston throwing the ball.  Stefanski has Dr Frankensteined this guy into the Sam Darnold that saw 13 Ghosts against New England as a NY Jet.

Yeah, I'm disappointed when I see us running the option 1 week and doing whatever we saw them attempting to do in the passing game this week

Well I'm out all gotta get up early to take my class to a field trip.

Positives were again the defense: Yes, that big play to give the the TD,but overall again were pretty damn dominant. Hate to give up 14 points from a missed catch and a missed block but that's football.

Watson probably needs to stay away from social media for awhile reading some of the vitriol being spewed his way. I am not saying he has been that good first two games, far from it, but Stefanski and his play calling, along with the OL at times, is certainly not helping.

I feel so, so bad for Chubb. Out for the season no doubt, hope not worse than that. Love the guy.

Keep your heads up gents. Hopefully Watson gets it together and Ford takes this chance and runs with it(No pun intended) thought he was very good tbh.

At the end of the day, we all want the best for this team, and I still think we can have a solid season. But if we don't, hey that will be alright too.

Cheers.

I've mentioned a bunch of times this off-season my worry is NOT the play-calling but the design of the passing game and receiving routes in particular.  If you get a chance - look at the receiving routes the last time the Browns had the ball.    Here I am watching my favorite Pro Football Team try to erase a 2nd half deficit and a youth football offense broke out with Poindexter's father calling the plays hoping to see his QB throw a no-look skyhook pass for the game winner.  Unfortunately for him but fortunately for us - Cleveland turned the ball over on downs so we didn't have to see any more.

I can honestly say in my 50+ years of watching football, I’ve never seen a QB get called for a face mask twice in a game.

Well that too, but hardly the biggest problem. He just looks lost in the pocket or even rolling out- too  much trying to be a hero making something out of nothing. Throw the f**cking ball away if it's not there, instead of taking a big sack.

Honestly, Watson looked like Baker Mayfield on a bad afternoon tonight. He absolutely blew dead worms tonight.  Two fumbles and an interception. That performance was Deshone Kaiser or Brandon We-Done bad. You want to debate me he somehow looked "sharp" tonight? He had better start playing orders of magnitude better (notice how last week I said the 2022 version of Watson debuted against the Bengals)? Or this "trade" could go down in NFL history as one of the worst -ever.

Hard to watch this tonight. I love the Browns, and am going to resist the urge to suggest firings and calling out stuff.

Frustrating and painful to watch

Yeah, your foot doesn't normally bend that way. If it's any consolation, take heart in the OSU- Miami National Championship game Willis McGahee totally destroyed his knee, and came back to have a decent pro career.

Said it already call Kareem Hunt STAT. IMHO, he's better than Ford.

Except Chubb has already destroyed that knee. I would be surprised if Chubb doesn't retire even if he recovers. I need a fucking drink.

..........maaaaaan..........

Prayers for Chubb. That was the worst injury I've ever seen in a game. It may be that it's magnified by the fact that it happened to such a stand up player and amplified by it coming from such a shady incestuous and disgusting team and player such as the Thieves.

My only solace is in my own sick mind in which hopefully Fitzwacktrick is bleeding internally somewhere coughing up blood with so.e fractured ribs, a lacerated liver and three punctured lungs... forgive me Lord for I have sinned...

I literally believe this team must be Effing CURSED. I don't know why I let myself lower my guard enough to be suckered back into this unholy torture. Lord have mercy on us all.

This is pure insanity. The Cleveland Browns are the undisputed-undefeated-reigning-defending Heavyweight Gaslight Champions of the World!!! Abusing us with their incompetence that is borderline trauma based mind control since 1999.

I already knew this was going to happen.. I prayed they would resign Hunt. The second I found out they let him walk I KNEW Chubb was going to get a season ending injury. Although, ya know, they actually outdid themselves and this may be career ending... it's a darn shame. Shame. Shame. Shame.

It's ironic and even quite a bit tickling that the only playoff victory I can remember was won without a coach, by a QB and a RB that they just let walk away. I hope Mayfield runs the table and Kareem tells them to pound salt... (no! shake it off baby!...) What I hope is; Mayfeild shares the comeback player of the year award with Kareem Hunt. Supposing he resigns after Stefansky and Berry give him a Watson Special.

Ugh. I hate football. I rue the day I dell in love with the Orange and Brown... hmm. Maybe those white helmets I got so excited about at kickoff were a bad omen. Maybe I'll try out some shock therapy... where'd I put those collars, maybe in the basement with the other browns crap... after all; "the browns is the browns", and "Next year Baby!"

I can't believe I didnt even make it through September...in retrospect, I should have known better. I wonder if battered spouse counseling could help...

I'm 100 percent convinced that the second Watson facemask penalty was the Thieves punking the refs once again! On the replay I swear that guy was trying to pull Watsons hand and hold it on his mask to draw that flag. They are just so dishonest they should be the ones embarrassed but somehow-someway I always end up being the one embarrassed by associating with this unparralled perpetually burning train wreck of a team!

... Hi, my name is Poet... And I'm a Brownsaholic. I guess I'm just addicted to pain.

I...just...cant...look...away...

Oh, one last thing, on the bright side- if there is one player that may be able to overcome an injury as gruesome as what I witnessed today... it's gonna be Nick Chubb. I'm a believer. And since I don't know how to quit, I'm gonna bet that Batman may even make it back to start in the playoffs.

It's been a little while brother. Tonight was a tough one. 😪

That hit on Chubb got me all up in my bag of bad-bad thoughts.

I heard about Saquon'sigh... injury. Then I wss thinking about Kareem and how he should have been splitting carries with Chubb and why we couldn't keep that duo together? Which reminded me they could afford to keep him because we paid Watson a three kings ransom... which then reminded me that Mayfield was 2-0 with Tampa, and that we still aren't, apparently we haven't started 2-0 since 1993, which is another infamous world record that the announcers so kindly displayed onscreen and jinxed us with their wuwu media magic.

Figured I should pop in for a few before I start cutting and speaking in tongues.

I know it is wrong... but I can't help myself from envisioning the fantasy that it's also a quite rusty from the rampant problem of the homeless people pissing on the grill... that's septic son, we're gonna need to amputate...

Sorry that's wrong... after reflecting a bit I realize that. He's such a scum bag that he probably immune to such things. Dude probably breeds MRSA.

I will say this. Although I didn't hear it at the time (sorry, the voices in my head were screaming REDRUM), the announcers said that the Thieves fans were chanting "Chubb, Chubb, Chubb". I was actually taken aback a little and it snapped me out of my psychosis. I was actually touched and for a moment I thought, maybe Sodom and Gomorrah might have some hope of being spared after all.

I can't be the only guy who was wondering when the hell was the last time I saw a quarterback commit two egregious personal fouls/ face masks?

I know I have a severe bias here but I actually thought that on the first one it looked like he went for a legit stiff arm to the face but one of his fingers slipped in between the bar and the helmet and it looked like he only grabbed it so it didn't rip his finger off. He did grab and pull him but he was probably legit trying to pull him through since dude wasn't pulling up.

The second one was pure theatrics on the part of the Steelers player. He grabbed Watsons arm in a way the he trapped his hand against his mask, almost pulling his hand in his own mask. I just cant believe the refs fell for that bullshit. The refs should know to look for that type of behavior from known and repeated offenders benders of the rules. Watch that again and look at the way Watson is trying to get his hand back from that scab.

Absolutely.

Dump passes and out routes, and the occasional deep pass that is so goddamned telegraphed Ray Charles could have seen it coming.

For as much as they call holding to kill drives you'd think the players would start pressing for it to be a 5 yard penalty

That's what I said. And both holdings were bullshit that totally altered the game. It really doesn't matter anyway. Chubb is out and Watson sucks. And our coach will be fired shortly. The last 4 drives we had the ball are some of the funniest moments I've seen in football. Just total futility culminating in a hilarious play call that made no sense and the Steelers actually KNEW was coming. Lmao!

Goodbye Stefanski. We actually thought you were the one.

230 million for a guy who spent 700 days away from the game and it shows.

Fleeced again.

I'm done with the "he's rusty" excuse. If you can't get in shape with half a year and an entire off season and training camp you aren't good.

He held on and dragged the opponent's head around. It was absolutely on purpose. It was a shitty thing for any player to do. If it had been a Steeler we'd have wanted him kicked out of the game.

Goodbye Stefanski. We actually thought you were the one.

The Browns just showed you why it'll never matter WHO they draft or trade for at QB - they're gonna take a promising NFL QB that started his career leading his 1st team to the playoffs and making Pro Bowls in his very 1st 2 seasons to looking worse than the QB they chased out of town (with Berry proudly telling people he didn't draft Baker).  That's fine; but your collective FO (especially Depodesta and a guy they hired as a Head Coach who only wanted to be an Offensive Coordinator paid to be the Head Coach has turned Watson into the worst QB he's ever been college or pro).  BTW, the Browns had to burn a timeout because they were about to get penalized for 12 men on the field when our punt return team took the field.

Stefanski might be a nice guy and all - but I think it's time they empower the Offensive Coordinator to be the OC and get out of his way (like they've done for Schwartz). How many times did I repeat they better have a plan for TJ Watt.  I'll bet he thanks the Cleveland Browns some day for his Hall of Fame status.  When Deshaun Watson is running around in the back field with defensive people closing in - WHAT KIND OF ROUTE ADJUSTMENTS were going on to help him?  Oh wait, Depodesta wants a vertical passing game only so we have a former MLB Exec remote controlling Stefanski's play calling AFTER he's edited - provided the self-destructive playbook.  We added Elijah Moore to be this guy that's always open right?  What if there's no routes in the playbook or route adjustments that allow him to provide this kind of help?  Uh-oh?  @ballpeen mentioned he didn't like way he saw the Browns trying to use him the other day.  I'm not sure they have the slightest idea on how they can use their receivers a lot better than they choose to.

They can also give us the - we can't turn the ball over nonsense they want.  That said, if they worked on ball security every practice since the OTAs started - it might actually work out there.  High schools teams do this - at least the ones that like winning.  It all starts at the top with the FO (and Depodesta over-stepping his football IQ and his desire to make Stefanski HIS choice which reeled in the ole "I don't want to let him down" mentality from Stefanski).  I wish someone would ask Kevin so what do you guys do daily in practice to make sure we're not revisiting this discussion?

If you commit to a QB - you don't square peg round hole him into something he's never been - you try to understand the wiring of the QB and improve the stuff that will be helpful from him and around him.  In other words, if you drafted a Josh Allen you DON'T pretend he's Dan Marino with the quick read-lightning release.  You give him a Brian Daboll instead of a Dr Frankenstein while you also add some pieces around him with a COMPETANT playbook so calling plays isn't like trying to shit through severe constipation.

Whatever!  If anyone has ever watched Deshaun Watson play for Houston - you know this is the worst he's ever looked in the NFL.  Challenge yourself to ask "why is this?" and do some research.  Read up on his 1st 2 years in the NFL after beating an NFL prospect loaded Bama defense for a National Championship.

The problem is - Depodesta and Stefanski aren't going to give themselves an honest self-evaluation to correct what's wrong with the design of this offense.  Hope I'm wrong but I kind of doubt it.
