  1. We have Freddie Kitchens/Monken offense who will throw even against the league's worst run defense. Hunt will be RFA next season, just place a 1st round tender on him and worry about him next year.
  2. It's not what we think it's what Belichick obviously thinks as latest reports state they filmed 8 minutes of Cincinatti's hand signals and substitutions during the game before the videographer was busted.
  3. So would I, even though he's a defensive coach he hired good OC's at the Panthers and had a much better offense than his predecessor John Fox.
  4. The fact that you're pointing out a problem in week 13 that's been obvious since week 1 as all you need to know about Freddie's progress this season. The Offense is terrible, the one thing that won him the job. In hindsight Wiley was right about the fact that last year's offensive success wasn't due to Freddie. I'm all for firing him this season.
  5. Sean McDermott who now has the Bills 9-3 was Sashi and Depodesta's choice. On the second point by trading for OBJ, Dorsey declared a win now mentality for 2019.
  6. I agree with the points raised, you can't say you're rebuilding then trade for OBJ. Really bad payoff for 1-31. https://clutchpoints.com/john-dorsey-deserves-blame-for-browns-disappointing-season/
  7. Myles is a dominant player and we probably would’ve won the last game if he played. Guys just stop with this playoff talk, we aren’t beating Baltimore (who have no reason to tank that penultimate game) and 8-8 won’t cut it.
  8. Given the Ravens performance (and likely division crown) and the Browns' lack of prior to the 3 game winning streak, lets start a wild card watch so we know who to root for/against till the end of the season. Watching the 4th Q of the Dallas -Bills game with the Bills up 26-7, looks like we can't catch a break. Other games rooting interests: Indianapolis over Tennessee (Colts won first match 19-17) Tampa Bay over Jacksonville San Francisco over Baltimore Denver over LA Chargers Kansas City over Oakland (distances Chiefs’ lead in division) Houston over New England (distances Texans’ lead in division) *Courtesy of Dawgsbynature. Happy Thanksgiving and Go Browns!
  9. As much as I hate the Ravens (I wanted to stab my eyeballs yesterday, so much for rough part of their schedule), their current success is based on a stable organization with a winning philosophy. Heck a GM walking out the door drafts to win. What's the best offensive piece for a QB who can't throw well? A TE who if I recall was drafted higher than said QB. Coach obviously buys in (remember Ozzie Newsome is no longer there) and hires an OC that can design an offense around LJ's strengths and weaknesses. Jackson's weakness are identified and he works hard to correct them in the offseason. That's how you get winning football from average talent and punch above your weight because on paper the Browns are more talented than the Ravens.
  10. The Dolphins scored 24 because 80% of our starting Defensive line was missing and replaced by XFL level players ( looking at you Chad Thomas). Next week the return of Ogunjobi and hopefully Vernon will calm you down. The Bengals blow as much as our 1-31 teams who had many close games.
  11. Njoku has been cleared to practice, he just wasn’t activated for this game and can’t be on IR. Great victory, suspected offense would need to score 30 points to win given our depleted defensive line and they obliged today. Really pleased to see all skill players scored today including Hunt!
  12. Didn’t help his appeal anyway. What’s the point of a CBA, if the NFL disregards it?

    Myles

And the NFL wonders why no one takes it's rulings seriously. The league cannot indefinitely suspend a player for on field infractions, it's clearly stated in the CBA but they just threw it out of the window (or threw it at Myles) in response to faux outrage from talking heads.
  14. Great points, the loss of Zeitler has been really understated. The guys at Surviving the Season Podcast were the first to point out that successful teams with shorter QBs like Wilson and Brees have elite guards to maintain the throwing lanes that are crucial to their success. Dorsey created an unnecessary hole by releasing Nassib, trading Ogbah then tried to fix it by trading Zeitler for Vernon who's production is almost identical to those two this season. Don't get me started on Fells and Charles loss this season. Dorsey is increasingly looking like a scout who can find talent but not necessarily build a team. Back to Baker: his last two games have been encouraging and maybe it just took him this long to familiarize himself with the playbook. OBJ is still being wasted this season though. This offense has to catapult itself to top 10 in the last 6 games to have the slightest chance of making the playoffs.
  15. Freddie's best coached game but the lack of discipline among the players just bleeds through. The Steelers' sole touchdown was essentially a gift of penalties from the Brown's defense. Randall's hit that led to his ejection was completely unnecessary. If he can coach his way out of Myle's suspension, then he deserves to keep his job.
  16. Simple answer the offense has to step up to win games with the suspension of Garrett and Ogunjobi. Fitzgerald is careless with the ball, so our secondary will be crucial. None of our upcoming games (except maybe Cinci) are cakewalks even before the disastrous loss of Myles.
  17. There goes the rest of the season with Myles forthcoming suspension. This team is the most indisciplined since 99.
  18. Old news republished by La Canfora who hates the Browns. However this is the second coaching hire against the Analytics dept advice, the first being Haslam chose Hue Jackson over Sean McDermott.
  19. Doubtful, he led the NFL in rushing yards one season. As long as he remains well behaved, he'll command top dollar after his rookie contract expires.
  20. Execution is poor because of lack of attention to detail which is due to poor coaching. This was evident yesterday, listen to Joe Thomas on the ThomaHawk show break it down this week.
  21. Agree, we need this much talent to overcome Freddie's poor coaching. Why toss the ball to someone who hasn't played football in almost a year? We were fortunately officiated by decent refs this week , otherwise the season would've been over.
  22. My doubts in Baker have started creeping in though right now he looks like a shorter version of Deshone Kizer after his stellar rookie season.
  23. 😂 Chad Thomas stat line is usually 0-0-0. Dorsey "the football guy" blew a lot of the draft capital Sashi bequeathed him with, right now the only surefire pick is Chubb.
  24. 1-31 teams had no talent. Last year's team had some talent and Hue's record at this point was 2-5-1. Not defending Hue but Freddie is worse in terms of team preparedness and discipline. Freddie has a WR on pace for 1100 yards and a Running Back on pace for 1500 yards but he can only garner two wins. Pull up the stats for teams with players like that and it sure won't be 2-6.
