  1. Our back 7 speed is not real great.
  2. I do...................ahem, in a manly type guy way that is. Not that there's anything wrong with that... He reminds me of my youth. Watching Gary Collins flip the ball to the official after catching those slant or post pattern TD's. Chubb is a throwback. He's a gem. I hope he heals up well and is able to continue to play at a high level. But there is no guarantee of that...
  3. https://www.morningjournal.com/2024/02/28/browns-will-change-with-ken-dorsey-as-offensive-coordinator-but-play-caller-a-mystery-jeff-schudel/ The Bills were pass-heavy with Dorsey calling plays to take advantage of Josh Allen’s passing skills. Allen threw 579 passes (No other Bills player threw a pass last season) in 2023. The Bills ran the ball 385 times — a 60-40 pass-run ratio. Five Browns quarterbacks threw 624 passes. The team ran the ball 518 times — a 55-45 pass-run ratio. “I think Ken sees it exactly how I see it,” Stefanski said. “You want to play through the strengths of your players. I don’t think either of us or anyone on our offensive staff believes that you have to do one thing to win, because that’s not the reality of life in the NFL. “You have to be multifaceted. You have to be able to pivot in a game. You have to be versatile in what you’re doing. So, we’ll do what we feel is best for our players in any specific given game, because that changes game to game as well.” Continuity was a strength of the coaching staff the first three years during Stefanski’s reign as head coach. Now change is viewed as a strength. The changes began last year when Jim Schwartz was hired to replace the fired Joe Woods as defensive coordinator and Bubba Ventrone was hired to replace the fired Mike Priefer as special teams coordinator. Now change has revamped the offensive side of the ball — new offensive coordinator, new running backs coach, new tight ends coach and a new offensive line coach. -------------------------- Last year it was a defensive redo. This year it's the offense. You have to be multifaceted. Yes. If for no other reason than if one of your facets gets thwarted, you actually do have another facet to turn to. We saw this just this very season. We started the season where we left off previous seasons...a #1 or #2 rushing team. But with injuries to Chubb and the Offensive Tackle positions such that we were starting #'s 5 & 6 on the depth chart....we wound up not being able to run the ball hardly at all. Fortunately Flacco rolled into town in the nick of time to resurrect our passing attack and together with the defense, carry the team to a playoff birth. You have to be multifaceted. Yes. But one facet does have more luster. The passing attack is more valuable when time is of the essence. When you need to quickly get down field for a FG attempt before the half. Or if you fall behind...it's not like you're going to RUN yourself back into the game. It's a passer's league. The rules limit what a defensive back can do to a receiver. But a running back running with the ball? He's fair game for just about any type of hit or tackle. Stef thinks that he and Dorsey think alike. That's a good start. Let's see what Berry and team can do in FA to get the new OC the players he needs, like was done for Schwartz last year.
  4. Yeah...but I wish we had a little more speed...
  5. Thank you Denzel! Nice work Andrew! We need Denzel.
  6. From Tankathon. We have picks 54 & 85. (Legette...or perhaps Jermain Burton) ??
  7. This, again, is our important date. We have 2 draft picks in the top 100 (#'s 54 & 85). Help for 2024 team improvement will need to come from Free Agency....and trades. That's a tough way for Berry to make a living.
  8. Kevin Stefanski tapped as one of NFL’s top play callers https://www.dawgsbynature.com/2024/2/23/24080895/cleveland-browns-kevin-stefanski-tapped-as-top-play-caller
  9. No thanks. Don't want Watson in Brasil.

There are a handful of numbers with room to upgrade. But I wish they'd have shown some sort of picture for the guys with no picture.

Umm...it's not DAN Cockroft. It's DON
  14. Did you notice during the game, Shanny called a time out and had Wilks get out of the defense he had called. Wilks had the DB's 10 yards off the LOS. And after the TO the DB's were much closer to the LOS. - just sayin'
  15. He was our DLine coach....and we recently hired a new one...so this makes sense.
  16. Yes, but that's when I found out that a TD scored by the receiving team didn't end the game. I wasn't aware of that prior to then.
  17. Well, I wasn't aware that a TD in OT no longer was an automatic win. I mean, where do you draw the line? They had to play a whole quarter plus last night.
  18. But he missed a makable FG that cost them the game against us.
  19. He's the guy that let the 9'ers lose to us during the regular season.
  20. Absolutely! Congrats to Myles! For years of being a great player! Congrats to Jim Schwartz for turning our dismal defense into the #1 in the league for most of the season! And Congrats to Joe Flacco for coming to us 'cold' and guiding the offense to the playoffs! Four awards to four Cleveland Browns who truly deserve them!
  21. Don Shula. When he had Bob Griese, he beat you into the ground with Larry Czonka, Jim Kick & Mercury Morris. When he had Dan Marino, he passed you into the dust with the Super Dupers. - An hour ago I told my grandson of how Hue Jackson had first and goal on the Steeler one yard line in OT....and lost the game. the inept bum
