  1. Oh yes, Ray's Place... Two of my favorite "Just Missed A Really Good Time" stories center around Ray's. First, my buddy was out one night and decided to leave Ray's to go to another bar. Minutes later Drew Carey walks in, has the manager shut the doors and everyone already in the bar drank for free on Carey the rest of the night. Second, I was at the Loft years later and the group I was with piece-meal decided to go down to Ray's. I was one of the last to leave, and there was a melee outside the bar's front door. I decided to leave when the cops rolled up, and minutes later two girls from the group who stuck around to witness the shenanigans come into Ray's and tells us that one of the guys in the fight got tasered by the cops. Damn it, I always wanted to see the Po-Po get all tasery.
  2. What I think the Haslams want is a dome in Brookpark surrounded by a ballpark village of sorts. I just question if there really is a demand for that out in Brookpark? You really think 20somethings are going to pass on going to downtown for... a TGIFridays in Brookpark? This should be interesting.
  3. It's funny you ask this, because after you shot down my Junior Colson love like some random girl at a Kent bar 20 years ago, I was going to ask you about this guy as a possible option.
  4. Makes sense... it has DTackle, OTackle, Linebacker and Wide Receiver as our top needs, and that tracks with what we all seem to be focusing on overall. Less than two weeks away!
  5. I would not hate those top three picks at all, gumby!
  6. Its funny, but we all miss having a first round pick when it comes to draft talk, and the general lack of draft talk the last three years kind of confirms this. But the few times we had the #1 overall pick kind of lacked a certain sex-appeal to when it was obvious who we were taking, like Myles. (But not the year we took Baker, that draft lead-up was bananas on here. Every day, calfox trying to outdo himself in being a whiny bitch. It was almost impressive. 😉)
  7. For eye candy, I like to watch Girl Meets Farm, a cooking show featuring Molly Yeh, who might be one of the most yummy girls I've ever seen.
  8. For Italian I like this guy on Youtube with the page "Sip and Feast". He's given me some good pointers for making Italian food, and his easy to follow style made me confident in trying new stuff, like braciole, and improved my chicken and eggplant Parm game.
  9. Lost the doubleheader opener to the Yankees 3-2.
  10. I was bouncing back and forth between the Guardians game and it. Defense looked good, kind of a windy day, messed with the passing game at times.
  11. That's an absolute fair statement. I have serious doubts that we will ever see the 2018-20 Watson. He now has to overcome a shoulder injury to his throwing arm, all the noise he hears from his off-the-field allegations, and a questionable fit with Kevin Stefanski. I wouldn't bet on it. I hope I'm wrong.
  12. I'm going to go with Territorial Pissings, Syd. My favorite Nirvana song probably is Lounge Act.
  13. I would prefer they stay downtown, but wouldn't be upset if they did the Brookpark thing. And this is a private business. Interesting how all you free-market capitalism is king guys get all Bernie Sanders when it comes to these billionaires getting stadiums for their sports teams - stadiums that skyrocket the value of the teams they own. The Haslams bought the Browns for $1 billion dollars, a team now valued at four times that amount. They had so much money from flipping their RICO-investigated truck stop business that they could buy the Columbus Crew AND buy a big chunk of a NBA team that competes with the Cavaliers. Let THEM build the palace they want. Let THEM maintain the palace they want.
  14. An All-Ohio World Series would be sweet... Almost happened in 1940. Reds won the National League pennant, Indians finished one game behind the Tigers for the American League pennant. Reds beat the Tigers to win the World Series.
  15. This means nothing, but I keep seeing "The Browns met with..." stories on various Browns sites that seem to always be OTackle, DTackle and WR.
  16. Good, let someone else take the 360lb guy.
  17. Could you imagine the outrage from a certain corner of this message board if say Lamar Jackson had done something like that? THE OUTRAGE! 😁 (The absolute best part of that incident is a guy drafted #1 in the NFL could not outrun a cop. Comedy gold, right there.)
  18. It will be nice to finally have a first rounder again next draft, that will kickstart draft talk throughout the offseason by more people on here beside the small crew of guys who get into it a little deeper. Hell, I just start looking up MLBs mock drafts 🤣 because I'm in the draft mood. Somehow the Guardians won the lottery and got the #1 overall pick (they had lie a 2% chance).
  19. The city doesn't own the Browns, the Haslams do, It's their private business, let them buy the land and pay for a stadium.
  20. It definitely can be an advantage. I think its been shown over the years that it hasn't been for the Browns, though.
  21. This is an excellent choice, I could definitely see this happening.
  22. DT Maason Smith, LSU. LB Junior Colson, scUM
  23. Ok, I've never done this... How do you do the thing you do regarding discord?
  24. Hypothetically @ballpeen, lets say a spot in downtown could be found to build a dome... Would you prefer it to stay somewhere downtown, or would you want it out in Brookpark?
