Someone woke up with a revived brain cell today... I'll see your Hogeboom and raise you a Clint Longley. Sorry 'bout the string bet.
Although why Gary occurred to you escapes me and your two best examples, Johnson and Plunkett, found their success with 2nd teams.
Plunket is the best example. He not only shrug off a lot of bad seasons, but rocked out TWO Super Bowl wins. And, hey what about Trent Dilfer?

I know most Browns fans aren't complaining. If you asked most fans before the season started, "Would you be happy if we were 6-3 at mid-season?" I think most would take it, happily. They really should win at least 4 more. That gets them in the playoffs, and then, who knows?

Eagles linebacker corps is hot trash. Might actually be worse than ours.
Any team that signs Desean Jackson thinking he won't be hurt after 1 game deserves a record like Philly has. How freakin' stupid are they?

Philly will be a great measuring stick to see where we are... Considering some holes that we have... We have a winning record thus far... That to me is very encouraging... If Crow tastes like this (6-3) ... I'll take 2nd helpings....
I mean, for real. 6-3? A HUGE improvement. My God. They got some glaring holes, but still good enough to be 6-3.

Eagles Offense is:
- #26 in passing yards with 2118.
- T-30th in YPA with 6.2.
- T-11th in rush yards with 1105.
- T-3rd (with us) in YPC averaging 5.1.
- #24 in scoring averaging 22.6 PPG.
- #30 in turnovers averaging 1.9 per game.
Eagles Defense is:
- #5 in passing yards allowed with 1906.
- T-9th in YPA allowed with 7.0.
- #25 in rushing yards allowed with 1197.
- T-15th in YPC allowed with 4.4.
- #16 in scoring allowing 25.8 PPG.
- T-18th in takeaways averaging 1.1 per game.
This looks like a Chubb and Hunt day, all day. Mix in some slants.

Browns - 3.5 is the line. Browns got to win this one. Philly is not very good. 17-13.
-
Even the best teams find themselves in a dogfight vs. losing teams, but the good teams just know how to win those.
Have the Browns turned the corner? Have they learned how to win those games? You see the other good teams do it all the time.
The Browns used to lose those games. Not so much lately.

An unnamed player has tested positive and they have closed the facility. They're having all meetings remotely. It's not expected to affect the game Sunday vs the Texans but after contact tracing who knows what will happen. The nfl needs to add an 18th week at a minimum.
I wonder why when Pitt had a player test positive, they only kept 4 other players out (who had close contact with McDonald), for 5 days, but didn't shut down the whole facility. I wonder what the difference was, if any.
Did you see that Elon Musk came out and said he had several CV tests in one day, and one test would show he was positive and others showed negative? There is so much bull shit with the whole damn thing.

Actually they aren't that hard to whip up and taste so good ! Plus all of the various toppings you can mix in. Great with steaks, chops or whatever.
Remember to use the big Russets great bakers but others can work.
Bon appetit ! (now I'm hungry for one! )
The hard part is digging the guts out after the 1st baking. I have trouble not ripping the skin.

Yea, great, the NFL is going to be the NBA soon, with over half the teams making the playoffs, rendering the regular season insignificant. Fabulous. Hey, let the Jags and Jets make the postseason, whoopie.

DOUBLE STUFFED POTATOES a classic potato recipe from Mr Food. https://www.mrfood.com/Potatoes-Rice/Double-Stuffed-Potatoes
A great GAMEDAY side dish with a hot steak right off the grill ! SERVES. 6. COOK TIME. 1 HOUR. 25. MINUTES
Calling all potato lovers! Our Double Stuffed Potatoes combine two of your favorite ways of eating this versatile veggie: baked and mashed. We fill 'em up with some extra goodies for a side dish that is company-fancy, everyday easy, and taste-buds approved!
What You'll Need
6 russet potatoes
1/4 cup sour cream
3 tablespoons butter
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Paprika for sprinkling
What to Do
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Scrub potatoes, then pierce each several times with a fork.
Bake 55 minutes, or until tender; let cool slightly
Slice about 1/2 inch off the top of each potato and scoop out pulp, leaving about a 1/4-inch-thick potato shell; place pulp in a medium bowl. Add sour cream, butter, onion powder, salt, and black pepper; beat with an electric mixer until smooth. Spoon mixture into potato shells and lightly sprinkle with paprika.
Bake 30 minutes, or until potatoes begin to brown on top.
Notes
Garnish with shredded cheese, bacon and scallions or any other toppings you like!
There are so many great potato recipes -- sometimes it's hard to decide which one to make! One of our all-time favorites around here is our Loaded Baked Potato Casserole, so give it a try! And don't forget about trying out our Baked Potato Soup!
We call those "twice baked" potatoes and usually have only once a year - on Christmas day (with standing rib roast). But we also toss in some cheddar cheese as well. They are fairly laborious, but mmmmmmmmmmmmmm, mmmmmmmmmmm, mmmmmmmmmmm so good.

Really? Unlike with Baker, they don't have a Bye week. The article does not say if he had a positive test. If that is the case, I would think he would miss at least one game...or more.
No positive test, and if that continues, will be allowed back in facilities by Sat., and will play Sunday.

Greedy is making the decision to resign Mitchell this offseason a must.
IMO Mitchell is becoming the most essential guy we need to resign.Even if they do, got to draft a CB high in the draft too. And obviously a few LBs.

Oh, Greedy is "working hard....." Thank God for that. What is the longest stretch that he has been healthy the last 2 seasons? A week? Looking like a failed high draft pick.
Browns should win this game with ease. 31-17.

The NFC is likely more up for grabs than the AFC. No dominant team from what I see. (Unless that game right now was really more a measure than I think)
I will give more data tomorrow after tonight's game, but right now, the Saints would be the #1 seed in that conferenct.
But, again, I am just giving things from an historical perspective.
KC is clearly the best team in the AFC, and I'd give 2nd to Balt., who will lose to KC if they meet in the playoffs. At this point, Pitt can lose to anyone, and probably will lose to either Cinci or Jax the next 2 weeks. Pitt is running on vapors at this point.

Just heard this statistic: The last 9 teams that started the season 8-0 did NOT go on to win the Super Bowl.
In fact, the team that was the last to go undefeated has failed to win the Super Bowl the last 18 times. (Includes obviously a number who went less than 8-0)
Six (6) of these team lost the Super Bowl.
The last team to do either was the 2006 Indianapolis Colts.
So, that means, historically, the Steelers this year, despite going 8-0 are an historically longshot to win the Super Bowl, and even have only a 1 in 3 chance of even making it.
Yea, I'm sure you are so happy the Browns lost 3 to their 0. You should celebrate.
Week 11: Philly @ CLE... Here come the Iggles...

One other factor to consider on making or missing the playoffs: Pitt may not need to win week 17. The Browns are good enough to beat Pitt sitting some of their starters, mainly Big Ben. IF Pgh doesn't need to win (i.e. they have the #1 seed already secured) that would take the Browns from 3 tough games left to 2.
Iggles
Jags
TN
Balt
NYG
NYJ
Pitt
I know, I know - on any given Sunday any team can beat any team, but I feel the Browns should go 5-2 if Pitt doesn't need week 17. And, TN coud be a win. So, in a weird way, Browns should root for KC to lose one or two.
