  1. I would agree with this assessment, but add WR to the mix if nothing further is done in FA.
  2. I am leaning towards B with the caveat that the lawyer for women seems to me to be doing them more harm them good if they have legit grievances. I think the lawyer tried to get all these women without vetting their stories properly in order to try to get some large pay day so instead he tainted the pool of accusers with some bad apples that would be enough to have people dismiss the accusations entirely. I don't know one way or the other but my gut says he most likely did some of the stuff he was accused of.
  3. Overthecap says we got 36 million. They redid Coopers contract to free up 15 million in cap space and traded Keenum to free up more so they got plenty to spend still.
  4. Hoping maybe we can resign Jarvis is the money is workable, we definitely need another capable WR.
  5. The Browns should have let Mayfield play out his contract and then make a decision at the end of the year. We simply did not have the draft capital to get one of these QBs. And it would have been good to know that Watson wants to stay in the south to save us the trouble of even making an offer. This was poorly handled.
  6. Didn't they tell Baker's agent at the combine they would be pursuing some of these QBs. Not that I think Baker should be happy about it. I think it was a fools errand, but I also believe he knew ahead of time.
  7. The 2020 Bengals the 2019 bills game. Baker didn't lose this game he played great.
  8. I think the Browns will have an uphill fight week 1 at KC. If this game was later in the season I would feel better about the Browns chances. I do think our defensive backfield will be better and it will be interesting to see how we cover Kelce and Hill, I think thats the real key. As for the pass rush, in the playoff game Garrett was still recovering from covid so I expect him to be better this Sunday. I have no idea what to expect from Clowney, I hope we can see him make plays and stay healthy. Also, would be interesting to see how the new DTs play this week. The defense probably needs playing time together to be able to contain the KC offense, however, if we manage to beat KC look out.
  9. Curtis Weaver back to practice squad.
  10. Mary Kay reporting some signings. https://twitter.com/MaryKayCabot/status/1433108829961658369?s=20 https://twitter.com/MaryKayCabot/status/1433108829961658369?s=20
  11. I love this Steelers draft!
  12. Lincoln was assassinated in 1865 right at the end of the war, I don't think he had gotten to the statue erection part of his platform yet.
  13. I am cautiously optimistic with this signing. Keeping him healthy I think will be the key. He can be very disruptive when on field. Even without getting sacks he is up there in QB pressures and he is very good against the run which I hope will come into play against the Ravens. I think this signing doesn't mean we have to reach on an edge player and let the draft fall to us. I would prefer one of the better LBs if possible but would be fine with the top defensive player available regardless of position in the 1st round.
  14. Well the Browns should be solid at the safety position now. Lets find an edge rusher!
  15. And they sign Jalen Mills to 4y/24m deal. Pats signing folks like crazy.
  16. Pats also get Judon for 4yrs/56m
  17. Yeah I do not understand this move one bit. This isn't playing for a contender, this is a money grab. But if its just a money grab, then why leave Houston. Yeah the Cardinals are a better team, but they aren't smelling an NFC Championship let alone a SB anytime soon.
  18. I would like us to get one of those defensive players if possible. Any of those guys should help.
  19. The Packers are about 19 million over the cap, so you would think they would have to clear around 30 million just to get Watt on the team if the cap number doesn't go up a lot. Seems like a stretch.
  20. I thought Wills did good, he gave up a few sacks etc but he was solid all season in both pass and run block and didn't commit a bunch of penalties. The best part was we didn't hear his name being called during games for either penalties or being abused, thats what we needed. Peoples-Jones, once he got his chance, showed he can play and will be a viable 3rd or 4th WR on this team. Bryant flashed hear and there, but we had a crowded TE room, each TE had their moments in the spot light, Bryants was more in the middle of the season, I suspect he will be better next year. Of the rest Phillips to me has the most potential to be impactful, I want to see more of him. Elliot, underwhelmed, I think he had a forced fumble but I don't remember him being in the back field making any plays. Nick Harris looks like he needs work and Delpit we don't know about yet, but hopefully he performs next season.
  21. It will be interesting, because of how they will approach the impending contracts for Ward, Baker and Chubb. Will they defer that to next off season or do it now. I would like JJ at the right price, I think he would help and allow is to use the draft to address the LB situation and adding DBs. Of course if one of the Tampa LBs becomes available that would change things.
  22. I like something like this, maybe 20 million for two years, 12 million guaranteed something like that. He had a lot of pressures this year and with someone like Garrett on the other side his QB sacks would probably be way up over 2020, assuming he stays healthy.
  23. Depends on cost, he also has had injury issues the last few years.
