  1. I agree. All I can figure is Schwartz sees something in him or Berry has had a team or two sniffing around and he thinks he can trade him for something.
  2. All of this depends on Chubbs ability to catch the ball and run routes.
  3. It would be best to have a guy on board longer than that. I'd bet we pick someone up and have them on the PS and dressed for games. You get to have that extra guy dressed this year. It would be stupid to not do so. To me having that guy around on gamedays would be a good learning tool for that young player. JMO
  4. I hope so. Dunn is way better than harris. Hopefully we are trying to trade the guy. He won't play center and he sucks at guard.
  5. I don't know about that. York was a guy who can win games Hopkins can't. It does make you feel better when you can't look back at a missed FG from 39 yards and start playing "what if".
  6. Add in our punter is pretty darn good. With an improved D, playing the field position game isn't bad strategy.
  7. Hospital Ward in concussion protocol says there is a 100% chance he will miss multiple games this season.
  8. Then he misses the kick. What happens if we replace York, and whoever we get does the same as your hypothetical?
  9. And I am sure it will be evaluated. It just seems like some have already done their evaluations.
  10. The future never tells. Maybe he makes them.
  11. Turns out he never was released. Obviously the Dodds deal started to develop and the team held back the paperwork.
  12. In my book, that is how a kid makes a team.....but, the NFL is kind of weird at times.
  13. Fair enough. At least on reputation. I am not sure that one of them can't come close to the production if given the targets. No doubt they have to get open to get targets. Either way, I still think there is a good chance that Coop could be a cap cut.
  14. On a small sample size, 1-2 kicks can swing those percentage a great deal. I am not sure that looking at % is the best barometer.
  15. Yep. There are always some good backs who get cut. Older vets who teams don't want to pay. Young guys they hope to bring back to the PS. As in any season, those last 2-3-4 slots on the roster remain pretty fluid the first few weeks after cut downs.
  16. Cade is a good kicker, but he likes the long FG tries. If I was Stefanski, I would tell Cade I wasn't going to let him kick over 45 yards until he started making those kicks at an 85% clip. Field position is still a thing in football. If we aren't spotting the ball on the 35 yard line, you aren't going to get to kick. We will just go for it on 4th and 8. Heck, pooch punt.
  17. Any real value Hall brings will be on special teams. I don't think anybody will sign him if we put him on waivers, so we do that and bring him back to the practice squad.
  18. I also think Watkins sticks. I have a feeling that Cooper will be a cap cut next year, so we need somebody to fill the role. Watkins and Tillman seems to have a pretty good shot of doing that.
  19. I think the Browns are projected to be around 45 mil over the cap next season. I think the moves are putting us in position to deal with that next year. We can roll the money over to next year. With any increase in the cap next year, it won't be hard to trim say 5-7 mil from the roster, if that much. Cooper and or DPJ could be a causality. I wouldn't expect to see any big signings at this point.
  20. It did. People were also saying he had a weak leg and wanted to cut him..
  21. I understand that sometimes you just get trapped in to it.
  22. True. There are a lot of guys out there who can kick who aren't in the league for one reason or another just waiting for a chance or another chance. It might not be the ideal, but you could bring in a guy on Sunday morning if you had to do that. I don't know the names, but the Browns have that list...many of them being players we have heard of...probably some guys who kicked or tried to kick for the Browns at one point.
  23. Simple mind and simple life aren't the same thing. Good song ..
  24. Once a person establishes themself as a simpleton, I just find a way to remove myself from the conversation and let them carry on with their simple minded life.
  25. Groza's OT days were long over by then. Indeed...I said cox but almost said Bahr...i couldn't remember. Anyway, my point is I am not sure i would want to cut York just yet.
