The only one I see (not on here, but out there) is that, yes, as a society we get to define what we think marriage is and what it's for. The problem is that most of the arguments for what it's for don't hold any water. So, basically they're left with "We want to keep marriage defined as between a man and a woman. Not because marriage is for having children, because clearly it isn't. Not because marriage has always been this way, because clearly it hasn't. But because well, just because."

 

And that's why eventually they'll lose. Because this doesn't make sense to anyone who thinks there's nothing strange or abnormal about gay people.

I can only speak for myself but I don't recall ever calling for these people to be harmed in any way. I know gay people and they work hard, conduct themselves with dignity and - in the few I know of - offer a loving and safe environment for children who - otherwise - would live in a much worse environment.

 

I do cringe if I begin to think of what they do when the lights are turned off but that is their own business.

 

I don't like a lot of things. That doesn't mean legislation should be passed against them.
